I mean based on tokyo, it has to be Su Bingtian. I've never seen anyone leave the field behind the way he did on that day.

yea he has the best start of all time, but he isnt the greatest starter of all time. Coleman has many 60m splits in the 6.30-6.35 range

@highbasketballknowledge fair point. He's probably top 3 however.

start is suppose to help you win the race not win until you reach 60m that being said its a no brainer that asafa powell has to be the best starter

Wow didn't expect Bolt and Blake as such a prime 30m starters matching Su and Coleman in this matter, thought they were only closing the race exceptionally cuz whenever they met Coleman or Su they were left in dushes in face to face clashes

2014/2015 when Gatlin consistently ran sub 6.40 60m en route to 100m. But Coleman’s 60m still faster and more consistent.

Nah I think Christian Coleman is the greatest starter of all time because not only he is the 60m world record holder but also I have never seen anyone being ahead of him in the first 30 meters let alone Su Bingtian and Coleman has even even beaten Su Bingtian in 60m indoor race.

From a technical standpoint, Asafa Powell and Maurice Greene are the best starters. If we're looking purely at their splits then the list is just about fine.

Ben Johnson was dirty. Period. He was proven to be juicing. Where was Yohan Blake on your list? 2nd fastest 100/200 of all time. Also, none of those splits and measurements are scientific or official in any way. That said it's fun to speculate. The proven best starter is obviously Christian Coleman - WR 60m, WR 40y in a one off - I bet he could even do better. Coleman's the best.
