The quickness of Bromell's start is as ridiculous as the raw power you can see from Gatlin's start.
Their starts are crazy, the acceleration is fucking nuts. You can really see it with the shots of Bromell, insane. These guys are dragsters
Coleman and Bromell are able to explode and get their legs turning over so quickly. It’s beautiful to watch.
seeing them upclose really shows you just how fast these guys will be running, the acceleration is unreal
That first clip of the guy in blue taking off before he got the hand off......wow, amazing amazing how intensely quick he picks up speed.
Justin Gatlin body is amazing, he looks pure sprinter.
This gives 9.8s and 9.9s a whole new perspective. SERIOUS SPEED!! So happy for Trayvon!!!! Bracy looking good too. And of course the ageless wonders- Gatlin and Rogers.

To be honest, this is great because the most exciting races in track and field is the relays. Of course the 100 meters is the premier event however the sprint relays are the most exciting, especially the 4x100 both men and women.

They broke the USA record and I think the 3rd fastest in history AND they had average hand-offs at best .... This four on a fast track may have a chance for WR ..

Re-watching this again, and want to say that these guys are some of my fave athletes. No diss, but they ought to be enphasizing handing the baton off with almost straight arms. Tyson especially kept it closer to his body more than anyone

Great to hear Bromell is making a comeback after his injury! His trials and tribulations will only make him stronger and faster. Great to see Gatlin (age 38) and Tyson (age 37) still in their game.

If you overlook the horrible running mechanics created by the push pass. But for a push pass it was very crisp. On further review the incoming runner runs up on the outgoing and has to decelerate as with most of the rest of the passes.
That was my favorite pass as well. Trayvon kept pumping that right arm through the pass and accelerated super fast... Rodgers had to put his best foot forward to keep up. Overall it was quite smooth. The US is not known for good baton passes

Go Team USA! Always been the boss of track and field, with exception to the freakish anomaly called Bolt. But that lil 8 year run is over. Time for Team USA to take back their rightful throne.
Team USA will always have to deal with Jamaican sprinters in the future. Their program is on par if not better then the US. The last person to break the WR before Bolt was Asafa Powell and if Yohan Blake didn't get injured he would be the fastest sprinter in the world.

Where have you been? Jamaica is as well as broke the world and olympic record 3 times in that event,the first team to go under 37 running 36.84. it took the USA 12 years to actually get it right messing up hand offs,taking off to early,passing out the zone, or someone testing positive. While Jamaica dominated for a little over decade.other teams are also stepping up there game such as Great Britain, Canada, China, Japan, Trinidad.

Jamaican men hold all of the sprinting world records, so they aren't the best anymore.
I feel bad for Trayvon. You can see the tape on his left Achilles and was barely healthy to do these practices. Too bad his literal fall in the 4x100 final at Rio caused him to get on a wheel chair and never get a World medal in 2017, 18, 19, 20.
He may go on to never getting a global championship medal ever again. Achilles tendon injuries are hard to comeback from, only a miracle can bring him back to his best days.
Maybe it's just me but I think if he stayed healthy he would've won at least one gold at the WCs since 2016

That's a good question. That 36.84 record is no easy mark. It takes a lot of proper timing, precision, focus, top form and, well, Jamaicans to run that that time. That Jamaican team had that. If that's what you're coming with, then at least you'll get close.

I'm not certain this lineup can do it but if they don't their are some serious speed gods on the horizon- we didn't see Noah Lyles, Matt Boling (maybe a year or two away), Ronnie Baker, and the WR at Auburn Anthony Shwartz, and I'm sure I'm forgetting another young gun. Should be interesting.

@66fredo99 la France Yes, you are right! This is what they needed to do desperately because they kept disqualified in 2015, 2017 and 2018 for bad baton passes... Once they sort out this, no team even the Mighty Jamaican Team (without Usain of course) will be close to them... Believe me this is very hard and tough work... I was an amateur athlete (run 400, 800 and 1500m in high school and college) and it is very very painful... Good luck to the US Team!

I’ve been in love with track and field my entire life. I was blessed with speed and the opportunity to run the third leg of my high school 4x1.
I can’t tell you how excited /happy it makes me that we have all this speed and talent.
But... our team makes me nervous, like for real. I don’t trust they will consistently pass well.

Lyles IS the anchor of the team. He’s just not in this video for some reason. He anchored the team at the world championships.
You are right..i'm a former 100m and 4x100m achor leg in hs/college. Lyles, must anchor this team. *Brommell, Gatlin, Coleman and Lyles. If, they get their exchanges right; no way they will lose. IF....!
