Just bought some from Costco today. Awesome deal. Was just in Las Vegas and Gordan Ramsay's steakhouse was selling it for $40 an ounce. Insane! Looking forward to a "fancy" New Year's dinner at home. 🥰
Should of used the fat dripping to fry some left over rice, couple of shakes of soy sauce and some eggs for some good fried rice or I sautee some mushrooms and onions in it.
I cooked it using your recipe, tender, and you're right like butter ! I found my steak at an HEB 3/4 IN THICK three steaks for $20 . A deal that can't be beat . Sorry I can't tell you the price pre lbs because I separated them and forgot to look at the tag , but it had to be around,$14 to $20 per lbs , in Texas.
I like the snakeriver Farm gold American Wagyu much better for tasting and the right balance of flavor. I suggest family of two adults only cook at most half of the size shown in the video. The fat is just too much after couple of pieces
Just so you know. The correct way for heating a cast iron skillet is to place it in the oven at a high heat. Insures even heating of the skillet. Try it. Let me know.

It's richer in depth of taste. Since it's close to 50/50 fat meat ratio, every bite is heavier but very tender like butter without having any oil/butter being cooked with it.
Loved this video! Exactly what I was looking for! I was so surprised to see Costco carrying Wagyu, but after watching this, I’m not afraid to buy and cook it! Thank you! 👍👍👍
I bought mine a couple days ago and can't wait to cook it this evening, and after my first test....... I can't even swallow it I had to spit it out. I hated it. Luckily I only cook one piece so I gave the other piece to a friend of mine. I hope he will enjoy it. For me is No big time. No no no. What wasted of money.
So is it overrated?
a veterinarian could still save that cow if you bring it to him :D
That pan should be searing hot ,if ain't smoking it's not giving a proper sear .Either way it is still delicious wagyu
AMAZING!!! thank you for the video

Just picked up some yesterday from Costco as well in Southern California. They had it on sale for ~$35/lb ($100 off per package).
Awesome!

What temperature consider high heat to heat up the cast iron? Thanks
Happy new year :) and happy birthday to your baby. I like the new style of content for this video! I had no idea that Costco had
Thank you so much Jose!
You shouldn't use the cheap pan like that if you don't have a grill at least use a cast iron that'll put a nice crust to it
Happy birthday for your baby! Your cooking skill is on a whole other level than my simple spaghetti lol Looks awesome, thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much, Jessie!
Someone get them a sharp knife.
Hi - thanks for sharing. What level of heat was the pan set to, high?
High
wait, i didnt know that costco would carry japanese wagyu steaks!!
Yeah not all the Costcos offer it I think. I'm pretty sure they restocked for the holidays.
FYI, saying "Japanese Wagyu" is redundant. It's like saying US American cheese.
Hehe like people came up with the name of "American Wagyu"
Why is it redundant?

The tinfoil around the pan to prevent splatter 🤯🤯... I'm doing that forever now
Hahah good catch!
This is the most powerful video I've seen on youtube

你帮我加? :)
When you spend $180 on wagyu but can’t afford the cast iron to cook it...
Haha well said!
Not having one arlj d and not being able to afford one are 2 very different things my peasant friend
