    That pan should be searing hot ,if ain't smoking it's not giving a proper sear .Either way it is still delicious wagyu

    Just bought some from Costco today. Awesome deal. Was just in Las Vegas and Gordan Ramsay's steakhouse was selling it for $40 an ounce. Insane! Looking forward to a "fancy" New Year's dinner at home. 🥰

      Just picked up some yesterday from Costco as well in Southern California. They had it on sale for ~$35/lb ($100 off per package).

    Should of used the fat dripping to fry some left over rice, couple of shakes of soy sauce and some eggs for some good fried rice or I sautee some mushrooms and onions in it.

      I cooked it using your recipe, tender, and you're right like butter !
      I found my steak at an HEB 3/4 IN THICK three steaks for $20 . A deal that can't be beat . Sorry I can't tell you the price pre lbs because I separated them and forgot to look at the tag , but it had to be around,$14 to $20 per lbs , in Texas.

    I like the snakeriver Farm gold American Wagyu much better for tasting and the right balance of flavor. I suggest family of two adults only cook at most half of the size shown in the video. The fat is just too much after couple of pieces

    Just so you know. The correct way for heating a cast iron skillet is to place it in the oven at a high heat. Insures even heating of the skillet. Try it. Let me know.

    You shouldn't use the cheap pan like that if you don't have a grill at least use a cast iron that'll put a nice crust to it

      FYI, saying "Japanese Wagyu" is redundant. It's like saying US American cheese.

    • @YingcredibleTips
      @YingcredibleTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hehe like people came up with the name of "American Wagyu"

    • @SidewaysGts
      @SidewaysGts 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why is it redundant?

    • @nickbachman663
      @nickbachman663 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SidewaysGts WAGYU - a Japanese beef cattle breed - derive from native Asian cattle. 'WAGYU' refers to all Japanese beef cattle, where 'Wa' means Japanese and 'gyu' means cow.

    How much of a difference is the taste compared to prime ribeye?

      A lot :)

    • @redsuns03
      @redsuns03 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's richer in depth of taste. Since it's close to 50/50 fat meat ratio, every bite is heavier but very tender like butter without having any oil/butter being cooked with it.

    I bought mine a couple days ago and can't wait to cook it this evening, and after my first test....... I can't even swallow it I had to spit it out. I hated it. Luckily I only cook one piece so I gave the other piece to a friend of mine. I hope he will enjoy it. For me is No big time. No no no. What wasted of money.
