I absolutely think LTT should go into consulting. "Designed in partnership with LTT" on a box would tell me there is an amazing product inside. I think LMG has set a standard in transparency for the entire TH-cam platform, and would review a product that they had consulted on with little bias and probably additional scrutiny and honesty. Continue to pioneer and grow! P.S. Alex does bring production value for the more techie of us.
Absolutely, if a product had a "Designed in partnership with LTT" on the box I'd definitely be more inclined to at least look at it knowing that these guys seem to care about more than just money.
I think they should absolutely not have such a label. Consulting doesn't mean that the product ends up being exactly as they want it, they just give some input. So that means that the result could be whatever and most certainly would still include certain issues, at least for some users. That would then mean the label just says "well LTT gave some input and we fixed, well, something, but not all" and that would not be what I want from LTT and their reputation.
That right there is the slippery slope they would be in, what if they have "Designed in partnership with LTT" and the product turns out to be some weird scam or bait & switch, LTT would receive lots of flak from the fallout, or what if the creator/owner turns out to be a real POS/creep yet they're associated with LTT now because of the branding? Nothing should be LTT branded unless it's from LTT, too much risk of their name being dragged through the mud with how blood thirsty the internet is these days. I would absolutely love to see them consult on more protypes, but keep any affiliation with the product non existant, they might offer a word of input on how to improve the prototype, but it shouldn't come with their name attached to the new and improved product
Consulting advice: if you will do it, be careful to separate it from the youtube channel. This is very critical. You cannot do consulting with all the responsibility of it and then do a sponsored video, or a video at all. We did and still do consulting and product development for years for international clients, and we saw many weird things happened with us and others. Keep all that in mind.
^^^^^ this right here iv done some work that i would have loved to show on youtube but wont from very early back ground work on a film set to helping a friend make custom tooling and machines for his company the vid i did on some storage racks for ups was borderline but as it was only for the local branch and for a friend i made a vid of it
It's nice to see a comment thread that isn't just "I've followed this channel for a few years now so I'd trust you to stay objective". There is no way you could offer a design consultancy service and then objectively review your clients' products. Maybe, maybe, getting 'first look' access to prototypes and giving feedback as part of that process could work, but that would be limited to prototypes exciting enough to drive lots of video revenue.
@@chunkymunky4165 Original Device Manufacturer. Roughly translates to the same thing in practice, but it does have justification for co-existing with Original Equipment Manufacturer, because not all "Equipment" is a "Device".

Make an LTT consulting firm with separate consultants trained by the main team. This way the people consulting have no control over your editorial direction.
Mmm... I don't know. The live video portion validates that the opinions of the reviewers are in line with the community. An entirely separate consulting team lacks that grounding. A better solution imo would be to have the same team doing consulting and reviews, and separating the workflows at an individual level, i.e., no one reviews a product they consulted on.
This is honestly the nicest laptop for gaming/content creation I've ever seen. Much respect to Eluktronics for what they've done here. I also dig that they actually did fix the water drain and came on here to rightly defend themselves. Good work.
Alex makes thing happen in the physical realm that other people at LTT just couldn't/wouldn't do. He brings the whole engineer/prototype workshop style of making things work that doesn't need to be polished cause it's only for a video or two, but that just wouldn't happen otherwise
I love seeing early versions of products, it does give an insight into how companies design their products and what hurdles they have to overcome. And in the end, helping them improve their prototypes in the end makes the final product better.
1:26 The one thing I've learned from LTT is that my computer components are way tougher than I thought. (This was a joke meant not to talk about the box but the fact Linus is rough with everything and it's always fine.)
As other comments said boxes get treated much worse by people shipping. Shit gets thrown and kicked around. Shit slides around on trucks and fall on top of each other.
I have this device, at least the XMG (europe) version with the 3080ti. I really like it. I've been able to adjust the fancurves for on air all the way down, so now I can game with speakers instead of headphones with no real problems! And with CPU and GPU staying below 65 degrees. Might be a fanboy but I really like it so far
Water cooled laptops is such a good idea. You still have a portable device and the power when needed. Heck. I’d even take the water cooler with me places. It’s not that big. I might look to buy a few years down the road when things get worked out a bit. But I’m loving the concept.
The one way I could see it working to consult on products and then review them later would be to do an A:B split kind of thing. Team/Resource A does the consulting on the product, Team B has no involvement with the product during this phase and during review time B takes over. That way you'd potentially ensure that the review is more impartial because the person had no part in trying to improve the product until that point.
Linus should open up Linus Consulting Group (LCG) as a subsidiary or even separate company, where a Team of experienced former LMG employees and new hires do their own testing for consulting, separate from the testing that's done for the reviews. And the employees working on the reviews (testing, writing and presenting) can't know which products the consultants team were and are working on, because it's a different company.
Not only that, but Team A would likely have very detailed benchmarks and engineering specs of the final product that Team B could use in their review/sponsorship. Linus has already stated that Labs will be doing a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to the backend of the review process.
Honestly you guys are always very blunt about things you don't like even with your own products so I fully support you guys consulting on products and still giving honest reviews on them. It's also really cool to see products that could have potential be displayed and even iterated on properly before making it to final production for us to get hype about and eventually purchase.
I love this type of content as long as you continue to be transparent where concerns or issues may pop up IE. conflict of interest. I really honestly felt like you and Alex weren't picking on the product for the hell of it, everything is constructive and honestly not far from the average tech consumer in many ways. We need more people out there doing that.
i think consulting on these is ok as long as you show what issues you found, and how the company fixed or didnt fix them as you disclosed them. as long as you keep transparency it should be great, because sometimes companies need a bunch of uber nerds to just mess with it to come up with real world issues or fixes.
To prevent water from remaining in the loop can they just have a valve within the pumping station that removes access to water and makes the water pump run dry for a 10 second period to purge the system of water by acting as a temporary air pump. It can act as a requried safety measure kind of like ejecting your USB drive used to be.
You cant be running a pump dry as this damages most pumps, so this option wouldnt work. Additionally water pumps are not the same as air pumps. If you were to run a WC pump you wouldn't push any air, even in a vacuum .
@@wafu6058 You can design a pump to run dry. It's not usually preferred or nearly as sustainable, but it's possible. Small sprayers for utv/atv applications are capable of being run dry to empty the system for storage during winter.
Have the consulting side of your company separated from the testing side. If you're testing side is completely blind to the consulting side , there is no conflict of interest.
@@stephaneduhamel7706 yea that is the type of business bs that wastes money Consultants that cost tons of money with no experience outside of consulting
I'm struggling to understand why there would be a conflict of interest in the first place. Consultants aren't nearly as connected to the product development cycle as you seem to think they are.
The consultants would have to do more testing than a reviewer typically does, so that doesn't quite make sense. I think you mean the review side has to do their own testing indepent of the consultant side. That way it is ensured that a product review isn't impacted by the fact LTT consulted on it, because the people testing the device for review, writing and presenting the review wouldn't know that another team at LTT tested and consulted on it previously. To be on the safe side, Linus would need to organize that in a separate company/subsidiary, which he could call LCG (Linus Consulting Group), I guess.
I love how fun this is Laptop is ! I also love that when you are at home like most of the time you can get 100% of your hardware's power by connecting water cooling and headphones will cancel noise for most people
As consultants i would trust you guys far more than the average consultant out there simply because you actually maintain honesty and take the real world perspective when it comes to using something. Not saying that there aren't consultants out there that do the same thing, but my experience does dictate that.
I love videos on prototypes. I especially love it when you revisit them in the future and the company has taken your advice. I'd really love to see more videos like this, and I'd also be down for LTT doing consulting. You guys have had an excellent track record of transparency and caring about the consumer in your product reviews so I'd love it if you were to provide companies with direct feedback on making products we actually want.
XMG and Eluktonics actually use the same manufacture. They don't manufacture anything in house, their supplier are Taiwan or HK based and also supply other lower brands.
Document your recommendations, even make videos of your contributions. When you review the products make sure to point out all the things you recommended, that made it to the product.
Yes please, do consulting! Not only would it help your business develop further but it would help everyone of us getting better products with less hassle and headaches. Isn't that the whole reason the channel and purpose was created? So unless it's just absolutely not possible for some reason, I would fully support the endeavor.
I love the idea of consulting on tech. It’s exciting to see Linus get excited by new tech and new ideas. He has such a passion for tech and it’s infectious.
Honestly this is a pretty cool idea. The issue with "gaming laptops" has almost always been they are HEAVY, hot and BIG. Well now companies are trying to slim them down a lot and it's coming at the expense of performance from the components in the laptop. Paying for such high end components only to get 70% of their performance is trash. Enter the best of both worlds: your gaming/high performance laptop is thinish so using it away from home is reasonable. But when home, hook it up to the water cooling system and now you've got 100% performance and a beast of a laptop.
@@NavrasNeo except in this video they are talking about the i7 being throttled down due to temps too. Water cooling keeps EVERYTHING cold. Not just the gpu. But yes, that is a measure to achieve a similar effect.
@@narojdebeste well not 0% since there needs to be an iGPU. but yea, depends on what you do out and about. if you dont expect to game and want a thin and light, eGPU might be the way to go (assuming an eGPU will be on par with a build in GPU, which might really be the actual problem right now). if you dont mind a little thinker and heavier and want 70% performance on the go, then this external cooler is the way.
Please do more stuff like this because I think yall have a good idea of what people want and might know enough of the business side of things to give context thanks to LTTStore
I think Labs is gonna end up doing science, reviews, video content creation and Consultation work. They send a product for testing and you, in whatever form, contribute to the development of a product. Some will want you more work done, more hands on and it'll be Consulting. There's a good market for it. Already, you have one of my dream shops for such work. Just add a little more science (i.e. the Lab 2) and you're golden.
Since the sound is coming from an external box, you could probably mitigate some of it by placing some sound dampening foam between you and the pump box? Making sure not to suffocate it, of course.
i freaking love this type of content please do more consulting! its so interesting to see how much a product can change from prototype to prototype. plus who doesnt like seeing whats coming early?!?
This tech should just be a turned into a dock rather than portable. I'd love a powerful enough laptop to travel with but then when I got home dock the laptop to use multiple screens, keyboard, mouse etc but with the laptop now being water cooled while in the dock.
To add to this, a function of the dock could be a travel button where it then sucks the water out of the laptop prior to disconnect. That would be slick
I would LOVE to see more videos like this. If you really want to isolate things, I could see another channel for previews and team isolation for a given product's prototype and the market review team. Maybe something with Labs in the mix?
3:03 alex has come a long way, I don't think he'll go postal anymore, and he's done some great builds and projects , Linus be sure to give him a good appraisal.
Yes to consulting, you've earned your reputation. Carry on your policy of 110% openness and transparency across the board, and consider making the consulting concentrated over at The Lab so that the normal writing and production teams are more insulated from potential bias by early samples or advice given.
Thank you for being honest and asking the community. You should totally help company's and give your opinion. Loved watching this product evolve a little bit.

I could see this being useful for competitive gaming set-ups that would require that kind of laptop, at least if you can find a space to carry both the big laptop & the water cooler around with you.
If you have all that space and can carry that stuff... You probably have enough for a straight up gaming rig. Especially if you want to go high tier competitive
@@dontmatter4423 its not stupid if you don’t want to have to buy a laptop and a desktop. You can take it with you as laptop anywhere you want to go and use it as desktop while gaming at home.
I'm currently doing a PhD that is funded by the company I work for. As much as I love it, I know that every single paper I publish with have to have an acknowledgment of possible conflict of interest. I'm not saying that there will be conflict of interest of course, but the human ability to be sceptical could always bring questions over the authenticity and reliability of your reviews. Especially considering the investment with Framework which could easily bring in financial implications rather than just damage to reputation. If you were to do a consultancy role, you would have to ensure that it is kept entirely separate from LTT with effectively no sharing of knowledge that isn't in the public domain.
I have developed a cool new addition to an existing product -- I would love to send y'all a prototype for testing! It took 1.5 years and a lot of research! It is in the headphones space. This far, 2 very large companies have asked to buy it, and a superbly rich guy is flying me out this month.
Realistically - A latop review every 6 months or whatever you said would be a GREAT idea. A very changing market and having that information ready and waiting would amazing for so many people. Also, If I have any questions about tech or new products, I firstly look on youtube to well informed, nerdy, amazing guys like LTT. If they've reviewed it or looked at it or ANYTHING, you can bet I'll know the great, good, bad and ugly about said product. I know for a fact if i were to order something and saw it said something along the lines of 'partnered with LTT' you can bet all doubts and hesitation i'd have had would be out the window.
I would love to send my prototypes to ltt for consulting! I get approach by companies in silicon valley ALL THE TIME to design products with the wierdest of ideas Love to send some stuff!
I don’t understand why laptop manufacturers don’t offer a “Home Dock” where you can have a laptop you can lug to work/class and then “dock” it at home to play games. I mean how convenient would it be to have display output and water cooling and a bigger power supply at home so you basically have a desktop that you pick up and use as a laptop on the go.
Honestly I love this idea. Having a towel in a draw at your desk that you can pour drops of water on to before you leave is such a small ask for huge performance gain. I hope laptop companies start producing similar products in a few years.
This is completely inconvenient in every way possible. Just build a desk top at that point for home use and have a 14" for travel. Its not like the actual laptop and cooler are portable. More just moveable.
I could see three options: 1) Turn it all into videos. Keep the consultation generally public record, and then there is transparency that attaches to any follow-up review. 2) Keep it all private and do not review anything you consult on. Do not consult on anything you want to review. Avoid the conflict of interest. 3) Develop and disclose an arms-length framework for overlapping consulting and review. Have independence between the teams, and make public some particularly relevant terms of your agreement with the manufacturer that demonstrate your arms-length commitment.
I trust you guys to still give us a fair review of a product you guys consulted on as long as you don't benefit from it if the product is sold more. I'd personally love to see more content about prototypes and experimental hardware, I think it would shine a great light about what goes into production.
I personally feel that having an even lighter and slimmer laptop without the 3080 ti and then being able to plug that into a watercooled egpu 3080 ti standing on the desk would be a LOT more interesting and reliable than this. And would allow you to upgrade your card as well as have an external monitor attached to it permanently.
The problem with that yes its viable but you get bottlenecks from the egpu to the laptop because the wires just cant handle it then there is latency and other issues too, they have done videos of egpus also explaining how much performance you lose in comparison to a normal one.
@@Ifrixiation I believe those bottlenecks mostly occur, when the video signal has to be transferred back into the laptop to show it on the integrated screen. But when you plug an external monitor directly into the eGPU, that bottleneck should disappear, right?
One minute since the video is posted. 80+ comments. Are people that eager to score internet points? I mean there is no possibility you've seen or understood his content yet :O
I think that if you guys did do consulting, the only thing you (LInus) should know is who the client is. If you are going to review the same products you consult on than there needs to be a separate department, strict communication rules about business affairs between department and anyone who might appear on camera to review products as well as (this is little less important and might not be needed at all, depends) a source/list of products you have previously consulted on that is updated post launch of the product you consulted on. As someone who has watched this channel since the Whole Room Water Cooling days, I want to see you expand this business in anyway you think could better the industry. Consulting would also be a good way to pay back Lab 2 and all its expensive testing equipment and give that team more work to do. I could see a future where companies (new not established) actually out source their technical testing to someone like you if you can get to a position of having better/newer/more technical/accurate testing equipment and methods. Tons of potential in the Lab road and tons more coupled with the consulting road. GO FOR IT BRO!
Just to answer your question, this types of videos are awesome, as they are giving insights in thought processes companies go through before launching a new product. Keep it up.
At this point I can't imagine anyone would question you're ability to impartially breakdown any products that come across our screens, or anyone at LTT for that matter. Especially when it comes to products like these where you're just as excited to see cool innovations like us

I'd personally love to watch LTT tech consultation videos. Companies might actually listen to the feedback you guys provide and hopefully it would increase the quality of new products coming off the production line in a great and impactful way.
I actually really enjoy consulting on early prototypes. It's really interesting to brainstorm about issues like the original had, and to see how they improve it.
I am 100% for consulting. I think it will lead to better products in the market which is a win for everyone. As long as the pay scheme is transparent enough for people to know you aren't getting a kickback from sales I see no issue. Outside of simple vanity just having given some suggestions for a product doesn't mean you are invested in it's sales numbers.
Two thoughts: for the editor(s): Love the little subtitles in the beginning, a good use of spice, not distracting for the rest of the video Regarding product review: I suspect the noise isn't that big of a concern when gaming - you're probably going to have headphones on, I don't suspect the built-in speakers are anything to write home about or someone in this price bracket would use regularly.
Looking at prototypes is much, much more interesting to me than your reviews of finished products. Definitely would love to see more of this sort of thing in the future.
1) Great to finally see the manufacturer in the comments section! 2) Yes please bring on LMG Consultancy. It can only do great things for the evolution and progress of IT 💪
14:17 That alone should be a selling point for this weird watercooler, if you have a laptop that can use it, it makes a NOTICEABLE difference in the performance of your laptop Noise and jank aside, that thing does it's job. That additional 100 points required might have been from a very lengthy (time required to achieve said results) cooling setup, yet with this weird thing, it's apparently just fill, connect, and fiddle with some settings for 5~ minutes and you're good to go, so cool concept really
As long as selling the product is not in the contract for consulting and you disclose it at the beginning of the video, I would love to see LTT consult on products. I think it can really push the limits of what manufacturers can and will do.
Totally do the consulting. I believe that even if you give your ideas to improve a product, you will be totally honest if it sucks or is absolute sh%t. You have shown time and time again that if the product you review has flaws, you test honestly and are honorable in disclosing everything. You and the crew have proven your integrity and earned our trust. I also wish GN Steve would consult for more case manufacturers before they put out a case. There would be some kick ass cases going out in stores. Manufacturers could release products that could potentially be incredible for ease of use and best possible performance.
Thanks for the updated video. I can certainly see the appeal of a mobile platform for work and then going home, plugging in , and gaming. If you do consultations and then review the same product, you must be upfront about it to both the vendor and your audience. If if you consult, you can still give a review with pros and cons. If you consult and review the same product then your viewing audience knows that you are trying to be both fair and business minded.
Yes you guys should do consulting when offered to do so. I feel like the LTT team has a great amount of different perspectives on the tech without being involved in the development of these products. That's a really valuable opinion to improve products and it would be a great way to show more of the interesting tradeoffs manufacturers have to make when developing new products, while making the end product better for the consumers.
do it! hell yeah. you guys see and test more stuff than most. your opinion is valuable to more than 1 million people every week. I don't see conflict of interests, I see improvements on future products and I'm excited to see what will change because of it.
Regarding the consulting side of things, it makes perfect sense for you to do this. As long as those consulting don't review the same product there should be no conflict of interest, however, the admin of keeping a consultant/product/reviewer register may become an unmanageable overhead depending on the volume.
I like the coverage of early samples. You have a strong enough team that the suggestions should be taken seriously by the manufacturer and sometimes the bad results from early samples is hilarious
Glad to see Prema get a shout out, he is one of my personal heroes, making free modded bios with extras and better control for clevo laptops. Glad to see he is still doing what I think he does best.
This stuff is good as long as there are two or more reviews of the product during production. You had the early prototype and gave feedback. Now that they had the opportunity to fix the issues and show the progress of the product it will allow the consumer to make a better decision in purchasing.

Linus on video title: Send me your prototypes.
Linus on actual video: Why sending prototypes might be a bad idea.
Yeah, this can only work if it's not a video series, lol
This is honestly the nicest laptop for gaming/content creation I've ever seen. Much respect to Eluktronics for what they've done here. I also dig that they actually did fix the water drain and came on here to rightly defend themselves. Good work.
Your prototyping monologue is one of the best support arguments i've heard for FDM manufacturing
For the record, I appreciate Alex's "jankiness," and enjoy the LTT videos where he's involved. 👍🏻
100% Alex's video's are some of my favorite.
Well now we know why its leaking.
If your product inside it's packaging can't survive that, it will never make it to consumers.
@@cr1ms0n11 It's leaking because it's a prototype...
Anything you buy in a retail package has probably been treated much worse than what Linus did before it got to the retailer you bought it from.
As other comments said boxes get treated much worse by people shipping. Shit gets thrown and kicked around. Shit slides around on trucks and fall on top of each other.
LTT has earned my trust when it comes to fairly reviewing somethign they were involved with... Linus as shown time and again he values that trust.
The only stipulation would be clear disclosure that you consulted on the development of said product, which I am confident LTT would do.

The amount of transparency in your videos the past year or so is really awesome! Every video is fun and super informative and I love it!
I have this device, at least the XMG (europe) version with the 3080ti. I really like it. I've been able to adjust the fancurves for on air all the way down, so now I can game with speakers instead of headphones with no real problems! And with CPU and GPU staying below 65 degrees.

Thanks for purchasing an "early" product. Hopefully in the future more people will be able to buy V2 thanks to people like you
The one way I could see it working to consult on products and then review them later would be to do an A:B split kind of thing.
Its mostly due to the slam prob.
An empty waterpump does not an airpump make.
@@wafu6058 You can design a pump to run dry. It's not usually preferred or nearly as sustainable, but it's possible. Small sprayers for utv/atv applications are capable of being run dry to empty the system for storage during winter.
well that would require smart control if it chould a secound perge pump for the air as the others seid and a valve of some sort to switch them
Have the consulting side of your company separated from the testing side. If you're testing side is completely blind to the consulting side , there is no conflict of interest.
But the only reason LMG could be relevant for consulting is because of the experience from all the testing they did...
@@stephaneduhamel7706 yea that is the type of business bs that wastes money
Consultants that cost tons of money with no experience outside of consulting
I'm struggling to understand why there would be a conflict of interest in the first place. Consultants aren't nearly as connected to the product development cycle as you seem to think they are.
@@dalektrekkie The conflict of interest would be if LMG started only giving thumbs up, screen time or recommendations to products they consulted on
The consultants would have to do more testing than a reviewer typically does, so that doesn't quite make sense.
Any kind of consulting work is likely to have some kind of Non-Disclosure agreement.
That would be a fun job, to test prototype designs and recommend improvements.

But when home, hook it up to the water cooling system and now you've got 100% performance and a beast of a laptop.
isn't this the same idea with external gpu?
@@NavrasNeo except in this video they are talking about the i7 being throttled down due to temps too. Water cooling keeps EVERYTHING cold. Not just the gpu.

Once im ready to buy a new laptop in the next 4years if this is a fully fleshed out product I would totally look into this product.
I think the tubing is only like a foot long, so not much you can do about the noise.
You could definitely build a rig to dampen the sound pretty well. For at home use in a fixed spot at least. A set up for on the go would be harder.
i freaking love this type of content please do more consulting! its so interesting to see how much a product can change from prototype to prototype. plus who doesnt like seeing whats coming early?!?
This tech should just be a turned into a dock rather than portable. I'd love a powerful enough laptop to travel with but then when I got home dock the laptop to use multiple screens, keyboard, mouse etc but with the laptop now being water cooled while in the dock.
it would work, but it wouldnt work as well unless its purpose built. A unversal dock wouldnt work as well. Im not sure how good it would be though
To add to this, a function of the dock could be a travel button where it then sucks the water out of the laptop prior to disconnect. That would be slick
@@b2dmastersniper Yeah. A some kind of pump that would blow out all the water by a single eject button.
I would LOVE to see more videos like this. If you really want to isolate things, I could see another channel for previews and team isolation for a given product's prototype and the market review team.

I could see three options:
1) Turn it all into videos.
That would certainly seem a more sensible appoach in most circumstances. Sensible is so much less fun though!
The problem is still egpus having pretty bad performance for the money. few hundred for the enclosuore and bandwidth bottlenecks

Two thoughts:
for the editor(s): Love the little subtitles in the beginning, a good use of spice, not distracting for the rest of the video
Regarding product review: I suspect the noise isn't that big of a concern when gaming - you're probably going to have headphones on, I don't suspect the built-in speakers are anything to write home about or someone in this price bracket would use regularly.
Looking at prototypes is much, much more interesting to me than your reviews of finished products. Definitely would love to see more of this sort of thing in the future.

2) Yes please bring on LMG Consultancy. It can only do great things for the evolution and progress of IT 💪

That alone should be a selling point for this weird watercooler, if you have a laptop that can use it, it makes a NOTICEABLE difference in the performance of your laptop
Noise and jank aside, that thing does it's job.
That additional 100 points required might have been from a very lengthy (time required to achieve said results) cooling setup, yet with this weird thing, it's apparently just fill, connect, and fiddle with some settings for 5~ minutes and you're good to go, so cool concept really
Love the fact LTT are posting videos more frequently!!! Great content and always great teachings 🤙🏽
I'm glad you guys gave them another go, I really like the concept even though I've never had a liquid cooled system.
It should have drain mode to empty the loop before disconnect, also would be nice with docking station then the pipe could come in from underneath.
do it! hell yeah. you guys see and test more stuff than most. your opinion is valuable to more than 1 million people every week.
As long as there is proper disclosure, I think that consulting could be a fantastic video subject, as well as beneficial to everyone.
Linus and Co, given the fact that you all love to problem solve and push boundaries on products and make them the best versions, you should absolutely consult. Not only have your own solutions worked, not only have you done such ridiculous projects that turned into successful demonstrations of technology, you genuinely want end users and consumers to have options and have fun with their hardware and software. I would trust noone more than your team to consult with major developers/manufacturers.
LTT as a consultant would be a very great idea in my opinion, no company that i know would be more trustworthy than you guys
