Great deals at Rubber Chicken Comics (and an awesome name)! Another great haul and thanks for sharing…I get my comic fix living vicariously through your videos!
Mike, thanks for letting the fans in on the Comix Crawl... Neat grabs!! I think the STAR WARS 2 was a the highlight of the trip!! I recall the first con I was ever at I saw a table of 35 ceneters which included 30/35 cent versions of SW 1!! I picked up a bunch of books but didn't know jack about STAR WARS as I hadn't yet seen the movie!! AFTER I saw it... tried to get # 1 but issue 2 was already out!! Time Machine, loaner ona time machine... Guys?
You are a convention and digging machine lately, man! I need to look through that Star Trek box so bad! I love that you picked up that TMNT #1. That's a grail book for me for sure. I owned it at one time and you don't want to know what I sold it for in the 90s...😭 Man, your friends have an insane collection! Yes, Bizarre Worlds and first Killer Frost. Star Wars and Detective are amazing. Love hearing you talk about the books and why you like them! Great pickups as always, Mike. Thanks for sharing your haul with us!
20 bucks😳 I'm guessing heading towards least 100 quid in the UK. Fantastic pick ups Mike. You have a great eye for stunning covers no matter what decade
Wow!!! Looks like you guys had a great time. I’m also a huge Star Wars nerd…Lol. I’m a bit older than you and I didn’t know that fact about Jabba. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Great haul of comics. Can’t wait for the next video. 😎
Pulling the second appearance of Mr. Freeze out of bins like that is what every collector wishes happened to them! Wow 😮 Also your friend's toy room is incredible! He could charge an admission fee and I'd pay it to look at everything.
I think it’s great you have so many friends in the comic community . I don’t have to many people I know that will hunt for vintage wrestling toys & memorabilia .
Mike I just have to say that every video I live vicariously through you. If I could possibly dive through the screen I would, now If I could just talk my wife into that long overdue 2nd honeymoon….
Love your videos, Mike. Always high energy and very informative. I'm living my comic collector life, vicariously, through these episodes. lol :) Thanks again!
Nice pickups Mike. Love going to those two comic shops. I also picked up that bizarre adventures book this week. Compiling some Christmas books for the season
To get TMNT 1 signed by both creators is awesome! Looking forward to that video. I was able to snag a lower graded copy for $200 a few months back. Presented great, just had a big color rub spot in the back.
I’d have to say I’d would most definitely pay $750 for that turtles 3rd print. Still working on my Archie turtles run. Really need to hit up some Mass. LCS to fill my run
I live in Albany NY. I recently lost my job so I don’t go as often anymore but this comic shop is called Greenbush out of print comics. It’s a beautiful local shop that’s always getting gems. If you ever have the time I surely recommend them. The owners name is John. Real cool guy great prices
This is my neck of the woods! To be honest, as I only got back into collecting a few months ago, I haven't looked around enough. I've been focused online and haven't done enough looking.
I played that Decipher SW CCG competitively too. I still remember it coming out and my girlfriend at the time cracking my premier box and opening Vader with the last pack. My brother a d I still have a bunch of sealed product.
I saw all those Marvel Team-Ups and my mind went nuts! Your friend was telling you about issue 79 a favorite of mine. It’s a two parter that then goes all the way into Uncanny X-Men 190 and 191. The villain is a sorcerer from Conan the Barbarian issue 15. I want all the tie ins to this sorcerer Kulan Gath. Please read that Spider-Man and Red Sonja/Mary Jane Team-Up! Plus you will see Clark Kent as well! Bonus info!!😊
Nice pickup on that Mr. Freeze for five bucks. Good that you could go back and get the TMNT book. It was nice meeting you and your son at the Nashua show. Unfortunately I left a book behind and I’ve been beating myself over it for two days now, but I think I‘ll get over it.
Really cool Star Wars history there. I’m so upset Star Wars minis isn’t around anymore. It was such a well constructed game I used to love playing it. I would totally play it if it was still around
You hit the jackpot with that Iron Man book. I have that onslaught book it's one of my dozen or so X-Men books that I have in my collection. I never collected the X-Men because I was so heavy into Captain America Iron Man and the avengers. The same with the fantastic four , Superman, and spiderman. I had to choose what I could collect. I do have an appreciation for all those books and characters I mentioned.
Hi Mike, love all your videos man.Tried looking at other Utuber's but their either vulgar, boring or no since of humor. Keep doing what you do man. They just seem like the most professional of the bunch .You relay a great story in a entertaining manner. 👏
I heard the name of the store and I just about sprayed the water i was drinking everywhere. The name is hilarious and awesome. You look like you had fun.
First Comics, along with Continuity, Comico, Pacific and Eclipse, published so many great titles which Marvel and DC steered clear of; now long gone and the industry is much poorer for it with essentially nothing but the bland Big Two. Bizarre Adventures #34 is the last issue of that series. The title began as the b/w magazine Marvel Preview and published several significant stories, introducing Star Lord in #4 and Rocket Raccoon in #7; and the Punisher's first solo story was in #2. It was a title I always enjoyed in both its colour and b/w formats.
Lunch money comics, awesome finds and you always get good stuff but I gotta ask what do you want for that TMNT#1? That book is on my list and yours is signed so if you are selling shoot me a price. I am just looking for TMNT #1,Star Wars#42, and then I am done collecting cause an X-Men#1 1963 and Batman#1 1940 is just too expensive and after 17 years of collecting comics there is nothing else I want.
Wow, that Rubber Chicken employee couldn’t have looked more bored when you guys walked in. You’d think they would be happy for the free promotion, but instead it looked like you guys were interrupting their busy schedule of being irritable. Five bucks for DC with Go Go checks is pretty good. I prolly would have grabbed all those.
@@arthurbarnhart4167 not that I should respond to a silly comment like this, but of course we had them on. I slipped my arm over the strap just to film but obviously we all had lap belts on or the car would be beeping.
Finding an early Star Wars book was great to see. Especially for that price Mike! Congrats!
This is me trying to catch up on your videos! Awesome comic crawl, I loved that Star Wars and Mr. Freeze book!!
Dude, do multiple long videos of just this place. It's fantastic!
Man, I would tear that $5 bin UP! So much Bronze Age Marvel goodness
My LCS are terrible, everytime I see your videos and see so many great books I get envious and wish I had just 1 good LCS...
Ohh me 2!!!😮
Where do you live?
I feel this. Comic stores here in Canada are trash
South side of Chicago isn’t much better.
South Mississippi is atrocious, they are even stingy with fcbd books 🤦🏻♂️
Those were some insane pick ups at amazing prices. Even in a down market, those were great prices.

First time I have been to a shop you showed, went to Time Capsule a few years back.

$22 is a great number LOL I may be biased though. FANtastic books!! Can't wait to hear the story on that TMNT!!

Great commentary on Star Wars No. 2. I'm 8 issues from completing my run of the 1977 Star Wars Series. It's tough to come by down here in central PA.

The Rubber Chicken guys didn’t know what a crawl was during the 3MIB crawl but they soon found out. Lots of partying there that day LOL
My girlfriend and I love Rubber Chicken. Wildly affordable back issues.

I didn’t know they change the name of the “Jaba” stand in for the comics later down the line. That’s so interesting! The more you know hey 😂

The Bizarre Adventures issue has a great Howard The Duck story in it - great find for $5

Dracula issue 12 is a key and is worth more than $5, I would have grabbed it!
I KNOW i was crying inside
