I picked one up for the same deal a week ago myself! The contrast isn’t great, but the responsiveness and colors are phenomenal. Absolutely zero complaints for the price, that’s for sure. Love this thing

Already bought this before watching. Happy with it especially knowing Bethesda favors AMD. Spent $1699 CAD ($1259 USD) and received a $231 rebate after it went on sale at Newegg and overall paid $1499 plus tax CAD ($1110 USD). Been putting it through it's paces. I had the 2021 ROG Asus Advantage Edition. I miss the RGB but it's way less distracting to me and I can get right to my games with it's simple look and utility design like you said. To me it almost feels like a work laptop or some kind of DeWalt tool but for gaming lol (Businessy as you put it). It's all black design with white backlit keys match my PS5 ;) It has better ram and a mux, a lot easier to use than the 2021 edition. Considered building a PC or swapping out some parts to customize a prebuilt but love the portability to game with friends and have a second screen. It wasn't outputting 120hz on my Sony 43" X80K TV but that was just a VRR setting but it now runs at 120Hz on my external TV and the smooth 165Hz on the laptop. Love the thin bezels. For an external KB I use the Logitech MX chiclet membrane white backlit wireless KB and a Logitech MX rubber feel, heavier mouse. My mech barcode didn't work, dead link lol There's a 7745HS sand colored version I noticed but I don't think that's dropped yet. Can confirm ram runs at 4800MHz I leave it plugged in but did notice the battery power was good. Some people complain about the MediaTek BT card but I haven't had issues if I stay close enough to the laptop. Loved the video and learned a few things! I thought I knew everything about it. Got the 7700 version for $750 from best buy two days ago! I am obsessed! I was using an old Dell All-In-One from like 2014 and it was running old school runescape at like 34fps and dropped frames from there in tons of areas. The difference is unreal, whole new world

I have no idea why but I guess Best Buy was running a sales promotion on the computer and selling it for $749. I just got lucky and happened to be looking for a gaming laptop while the sale was going on.
I bought and returned this due to backlight bleeding. Also the cpu is always hot and i had a concern on that. Bought Acer predator neo 16 and the temps never went beyond 80 degree Celsius
I have a Ryzen 5800x 4060ti Desktop so I picked one of these up for $590 and I have to say it’s pretty impressive so far. As nice as my Blade 16 i9 4070 I sold? No, not by a decent margin but it is also 1/3rd the price with efficient battery for real work when not gaming also. As a result I grabbed a Legion Go with the savings for travel.

Yesterday I had a drama with the Asus Tuf FA617 model: when using photoshop it has an intermittent power on screen, however, on a desktop that same file has NO problem. TUF FA617 data - AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS Mobile Processor (8-core/16-thread, 16MB L3 cache, up to 4.7 GHz max boost) - AMD Radeon RX 7600S, up to 95W (Smart Shift), 8GB GDDR6 - 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM I will have to wait several days to send it for service, it has 8 days of use in video editing and graphic design. I hope NOT, it is very unpleasant to be without work for a few days.

Asus tuf F15 rtx 4070, i7 12700h, 16gb, 1tb, 144hz (1080p) and a 90wh battery which I am unsure how long it lasts ($1150) 4. MSI bravo 15 rtx 4060, i7 13620h, 16gb, 1tb, 165hz (1440p) and a 90wh batter which I am unsure how long it lasts (also $1150) (All laptops at maximum gpu wattage) I currently am trying out the nitro 5 as I found it for an excellent price on newegg but the 57wh bat tery really lets it down which is why I am looking for other options. Other than that is an amazing laptop all around. I am really torn between all laptops and I could not find concrete battery tests on the f15 and bravo so I am in a strange spot. I'm getting this for the HYPR-RX and Fluid Frame gen injection. Theres no reason for AMD to over manufacture and over engineer the hardware when software itself will boost your FPS.

This laptop did nothing but hiccup constantly. They can fix that with updates, sure. But idk how you can advice to anyone to buy with the screen ghosting. It's a gaming laptop but you can't look around fast or be snappy without the laptop either hiccuping or the screen going full blurry.
The 1% lows were odd. I followed up with Asus about it, and they tried to reproduce the low 1% lows on their machine, but they could not. It was working fine. Not sure if drivers fixed it, or something was wrong with my units perhaps. Hard to say. It did not stutter so bad that it was unplayable in most games, but yes, more stuttering than a RTX 4050/4060 laptop for sure.

I don't know why you left out the most worrisome aspect of this laptop I mentioned (32:25 hardware issue of the screen) Besides, having just watched a video on Tech Rodents channel about the two different A16s. Good and honest reviewer like yourself. I still think that A16 is a good enough value laptop to buy and most of the minor complaints I had seemed to be fixed in the zen 4 model (screen brightness, rgb correct and processor) wich is double the price smh
Depends on price. If the neo 16 is $1200, and the Tuf a16 is $899, I would rather buy the Tuf A16, but if the same price, the neo has a better screen, and I would rather have the 4050 at the same price.
300 nits is terrible. Everybody is used to the display on their iPhones which is 500 nits+. So it looks noticeably dim. And makes it impossible to work in sunny environment
For $899, 300 nits is above average. This is better than most displays at this price range by a noticeable margin, but yes, it is not the ideal display. If you have more money to spend for a higher end display, then I would recommend it
I got a 7700s model, it is incredibly amazing in 2k gaming with 0 compromises.

All teh CPUs is hott now, ryzen 7000 intel 13th gen they just wanna win teh benchmarks and they dnt care abt teh heat. Big fan of undervolting now.

Depends on price. If the neo 16 is $1200, and the Tuf a16 is $899, I would rather buy the Tuf A16, but if the same price, the neo has a better screen, and I would rather have the 4050 at the same price.

if you still did not get what I meant is that, this is the only reason why every game has stutters. shaders need to be finished.
