    This is a tool of all trade. Your vocal is so relaxing, a fatigue-free listening through the end, thus i will rate this review megamax

    That was about 50x the review I expected. Nice work.
    I'm curious to see how well the tool holds up to long term use with debris in the main drive interface. Cement and sheetrock dust IS GOING to get in there if you change this on a job site, or if you store your tools outside of a medical clean room.

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol, thanks bro ! Yeah I can see what you're saying about the dust. I would think they tested for that though? I'm going t put this against the Milwaukee super Sawzall next week!

    If they ever come out with a drilling combo for this thing...(90 degree, straight with keyed chuck like the 90 degree and SDS) and keep it geared way down... I will totally buy this to save on my everyday Ridgid Octane drill!

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hey Moe. It's not only better than the 4 and 5, it's better that the new OCTANE recip as well

    Bosh wood paddle bits like that are self drilling bits which means you are not supposed to push what ever drill you are using... great tools btw

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right. I love these bits and have been using them for some time now.

  • @POWER_WAFFLE
    @POWER_WAFFLE 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If I'm not mistaken, would this be the least expensive Right Angle drill on the market, assuming you had the 18v batteries?

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. Way better than 2, 3 or even $400 for one.

  • @stevencarter4297
    @stevencarter4297 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Had one up hear in canada.I bought it but I cant buy those batteries(not available yet).It rattles a bit too. And no batteries in a kit are not LSA. So i returned it bacause to buy just a 5ah would cost in total more then a flexvolt recip. I bought the flexvolt.

    • @Ludeguy83
      @Ludeguy83 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Steven Carter i bought the mega max with the sawsall head like a month ago... there was a huge sale on the base and all the heads, but just like u i am in canada, so HD had no octane batteries... but i just ordered one off ebay, it's being shipped now. Can't wait to get it and try the megamax sawsall with the octane 6.0ah battery instead of my 4ah normal battery!!

    TRZ undecided if I should get the other heads I got the power base with the Recip saw head is the sds and right angle drill worth it it’s $99 for the angle driver and $117 for the sds?

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you already have the base, it would definitely be cheaper than buying the independent tools bro. Guess it depends on how much you will use them

  • @Crack_ElSalvador
    @Crack_ElSalvador 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I wish we could see the right angle drill on a 4" maybe a 6" hole saw and see how it does 3/4 i can already do with my impact 😒

    • @ToolReviewZone

    Does the hammer drill and angle drill have reverse?

  • @diarrheadan8088
    @diarrheadan8088 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    How durable is it and how long does the motor last? I know rigid has a good warranty too. I want to switch from Milwaukee to rigid because Milwaukee's price is stupid high and their tools are a little overrated.

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its awesome. I used it the other day to mix a lot of concrete. Its tough as hell and it also has a lifetime warranty. Batteries do too, can't go wrong

    @ThePoxo123 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Bosch wood bit you are using of course you dont have to push down because it’s made for that purpose! It’s not the drill that is super powerful it’s the dot itself buddy. Lots of people I’ve known using this spaddle bits don’t know about that

  • @pootinhammer

    Do any of the attachments use the special features button on the mega Max base? Also, what is the attachment rails purpose? Are they coming out with a dust collector attachment for the hammer drill? And 1 more thing.... The ad on the Canadian Ridgid says limited quantities for limited time and availability??? So have they discontinued this product already like they've done on some jobmax attachments??? Thx for the review!

  • @N1rOx

    probably not a good idea to test drilling a concrete block over earth like that. A lot of the percussive force will be absorbed by it.

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very good point N1. There is actually a lot of rock in that area so it seemed ok

    Too bad they discontinued it while lying to everyone saying they had no intention of doing such a thing. Thank good i didn't believe them. I am highly invested in ridgid tools and I am dismayed they would treat thier customers in this way. Shame on you ridgid.
