Mark, Mark, Mark, the chili man! You have such an amazing personality. If humans ever need to explain ourselves to an alien civilization, we’d just send them your videos!
what i love seeing Mark Wiens is how he looks like a child playing with his toys. the thing that now i have wife and kids, works, etc in life looking at how poeple make food its like "how long is gonna be?". love your content Mark.
Your Omani friend look a like Kalid Al Ameri 😍 Omani Halwa and street food always incredible. Much love the legend Mark Wiens. Never missed your videos ❤😎🤙
Loving the Oman food series @Mark Wiens. Again what stands out is the culture, friendly and welcoming people and of course the amazing selection of food.
You tried omani food and suadi food , you have to visit kuwait to try Kuwaiti food and if you want to try all the cousins from the world you can find all of them in kuwait 🇰🇼 ❤
I'm not sure if i've ever seen Mark cry from chilis. Refreshing seeing a legend be humbled by such a simple fruit. SO MUCH HEAT. SO MUCH FLAVOR! tshirts when?
Wow that Halwa making process was very fascinating to watch, I like the ingredients added, it would taste fabulous. The continuation of storing it for a few hours non stop is not so fun though lol
First, convey my regards to Mr Ahmed and this is the best episode in your entire TH-cam videos Mr Mark. I LOVES IT. Regards to ur wifey n Kiddo. Hugss.
That was so sweet of that gentleman at the fort to serve you lunch. He knew all your favorite things, too... fish, zucchini, okra, and of course chilis. You seemed really happy, though smiling through the tears.😂🌶
@JonahKraner Rest assured, my brother, there is nothing in the Sultanate of Oman that causes fear and anxiety. It has been classified with zero cases of terrorism in the world. It is a very safe country and the Omanis are all Muslims, but they are very friendly and do not harm any visitor. I assure you of that.
The Mandazi (sic?) looks like a traditional Sopaipilla from Albuquerque or Santa Fe (New Mexico US). I understand many restaurants in the US fry already cooked tortillas in a skillet, cover them with cinnamon and honey and call them sopaipillas. The first time I went into one of those restaurants, I ordered 2, to eat with my meal. The waiter asked several times if I was sure, I wondered why the big deal having bread?!? When he brought them to the table, the two big plates took the entire table. I didn’t argue but seriously considered taking a few weeks off from work to teach the restaurants. I discovered that it was not just a local confusion and gave it up. Seeing the Mandazi (is that correct?) is the first time I have EVER seen a similarity. Fascinating! Mark, you have inspired me to want to travel to Oman for a week to eat and to learn. Thank you!!! This video has also made me hungry!

You can tell a lot of people choose not to learn about certain countries/cultures because of how many views Mark will end up with for a specific episode 😢. Still, Mark does the internet justice. Great video, brother Mark.
What is so complex and fascinating in the process of making halwa.wondering if mixing all the ingredients for 4 to 5 hrs is the complex process or can we call it tedious?why is everything so dramatic?
I really like their local attire; clean, practical & no designer labels required.
Thank you for the wonderful video of incredible Omani food 👍
