- In this video, you will learn how to model the "coin edge" and create low relief sculpting model to make a coin with Rhino 6. The same model commands can be used in watch design as well.
I will show you how to find the online resource for the sculpting model and my trick and tips on editing model.

This tutorial is done by Rhino 6. The exact commands can be used with Rhino 5 and older version.

Hi PJ! I am a member of your videos and I find them all fascinatingly useful. I have a question! What is the suggested height on the lettering for jewelry?? Sometimes I want to add a text and subtract it from the geometry (much like engraving) and sometimes protruding (like your example here) All my jewelry pieces are 3D printed for casting or just 3D printed itself :)
Depends in the size of text and the font of text. I won't do less than 0.4mm, but always suggest to do the engraving after casting either by hand, machine or laser.

That is correct Peter. It will be better for casting.

Hi PJ I have created a coin with text looping around, I would like to flip the text to put also on the underside of the coin, however this is proving difficult in perspective view, is there an easy way to do this?
you can use mirror command in either top front side views

Hi PJ! Thanks for the video. I am on your purchased course right now, chapter 7.8 Coin Design, the Transform - Flow Along Curve text isn't working for me. I can't get the text to curve around the curve on the coin. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? I select the text, then click the base line, then click the circle line around the flower on the coin.
did you group the text? make sure they are ungroup.

I have some coin JPEG file so how to make 3d model for CNC machine engraving from JPEG image
You can use the same commands discussed in the video and save as IGS file instead. I believe your CNC machine should able to read it.
