- Modeling, printing and finishing prototype challenge coins. This is part 1, where the coins are prototyped on a Elegoo Mars resin printer and a faux antique finish is applied. In part 2 I hope to print molds and cast them in pewter. That will have to wait until I can afford the materials.

WOW!! I feel like I've been living under a rock... I never knew this possible. That was awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I needed to see this. Thank you✊
Ok that's just all sorts of awesome
thanks :-)
I am trying to find a program to show my designs in 3D please could you tell me what you used as it looked very user friendly
the design software used was Fusion 360
NICE WORK! You could use one of these coins as an Extruder rotation visualizer
I would, but I'm using the Star Wars visualizer I designed last year :-)
All the mold making videos for casting gold and silver into coins, etc.. the designs come out very flawed and unclean. Can I 3d print Stainless steel for a Mold to use for pressing gold with a hydraulic press machine? Is this possible you think?
I have no idea, but I have to confess I'm now very curious if it would be
Greetings Sir. Do you make customised steel molds for metal stamping dice?
I’m afraid not
can you link products used please this is really awesome
done :-)
Can you post your settings you use, when you. Do your resin. Thank you
If I were doing it today I'd use Elegoo water washable resin. In ceramic grey I'd use 5 first layers at 60 seconds, 8 seconds after at .05 height on my Mars
Have you calculated the cost per coin using this method? Very neat techniques and gorgeous results!
I figured it out a long time ago and I think in the small run I did was just shy of $4 each. But it depends on how many you make, if you have the materials on hand already, grade of pewter, etc. With all the stuff already done I made my last batch of 18 for the cost of the pewter, $40.
What's the name of the machine?
the printer? That's an original Elegoo Mars
I have a project that I am doing involving metal smelting. I would love to speak to you about this as I think your talents would be instrumental in helping me to accomplish what I want to do. Would you be interested in having a conversation about something like that?
