Bought the Zephyr when you told us about a sale on Amazon a little while back but regretted it not having a drag clicker. Think I'll follow your lead and sacrifice my Black Knight, which I'm not using anyway. Thanks for sharing.
It's not a perfect fit it feels, but made it work lol. Take photos of your gears laid out for reference!

I’d love to read your feedback to KastKing you sent concerning the valiant eagle bfs. And; nice job with the drag clicker for the zephyr. I know you also did a video or two on the KastKing MegaJaws BFS prototype; now that they offer the MegaJaws on AliExpress in the “Blue BFS” model I wonder if you have any feedback on that reel? As always; good informative video.
thanks man! the mega jaws was actually sent to me last year as a prototype. it was the feedback that we provided that birth Zephyr. They had a bunch of parts remaining so they made a few and pushing limited MegaJaws BFS reels. Its heavier than zephyr in total weight and spool weight. it would benefit using micro bearings. I would say the Tsurinoya Spiritfox would perform better than the megajaws bfs. hope that helps!
Did you try to fit the blacknight gears in the zephyr?
in the video at 5.25 when you alligned the drive gears they looked to be similar diameter and teeth size...

Have you tried the kastking Valient Eagle BFS? If you have, how does it compare to the Zephyr?
Yes! It's a heavier bfs reel, more of a bass bfs than UL and it got some issues with quality. Avoid until they address it
Hai bro, i just want to ask, did you know size for bearing stardrag kastking zhyper? Mine was missing but still can't find that part any advise?
Not sure what part you are talking about. The best way is to reference the schematics and reach out to their customer support and have them tell you what size they are or order the replacement from them directly. i have ordered a few parts before and they were always responsive. at least the US side.

use caliper to measure all washers to get the overall thickness then compare the overall thickness of your clicker set. if your clicker set is thicker then minus a piece of washer to get fit.
I should really get one. Since dabbing into reels, it seems that I need it more and more lol
I noticed some of their reels that used a brass main gear, are now advertised & sold with a aluminum main now.

@@rawrfishing The speed demon elite is the first one I noticed when going through stores last night. I know for sure it use to have a brass main. Not sure on others as I didn't look up on them as often but Crixus ArmorX & Bassinator Elite/ninja are aluminum mains. I think those use to have brass mains. Went through & looked at the Zephyr, both the non drag click & the drag click model uses aluminum.Looks like your zephyr has a brass, so they must've swapped it too now on zephyr
from my knowledge, most of their stuff are aero grade aluminum. T7075 hardened aluminum alloy.
May I know what size is the Kyorim's washer and clicker?

U have to be careful with the small parts under the white plastic piece. Does your star drag click now? If not, look for the little spring and ball.

Yeah I didn't see it from my camera view. I stare at my little screen to ensure my stuff are focused and sometimes small things like that doesn't show up good lol.

Its my fault for not looking at the schematics before starting. It was a brand new reel the revised version with the 10lbs drag

You would have to obtain the parts yourself and do it yourself unfortunately. I do not service or modify reels for people. Videos here have all the details. Feel free to use it for reference

I know. I helped them make the Zephyr BFS reel as well as suggested the drag clicker for the 2nd iteration.

lol, yeah this is an older reel, but it still does well for L and ML rods. I have tried various micro bearings, it is not going to work well on UL.

I don't know how long this reel will last. Chinese reel very cheap made.
U should take a look at the majority of where non Japanese reels are made! You will quickly find that your statement cannot be applied to everything that Is made in China being bad. You need to take account on the company who is giving the orders of what materials to use.
I don't think you paid for every reel. I have purchased 3 reels from China they're cheap made. Not any brand name build them in China. I believe any brand name entry level better than this reel.
neither have you? You have purchased 3 reels? that's it? What were the brands? KastKing is an AMERICAN brand. Headquarters are in New York. Like many US companies such as Apple, they have factories in Asia. I have this reel and it's still working great. and you have 3 cheap reels that can't even compare. I am happy with the KastKing Name Brand! And I have you Beat. I have many China brand reels and most of them are still working. Tsurinoya being the most!
