Well I had to take mine apart to fix it what happened was the what ever you call it where you see where you are at what number it's on had came off I put to much glue on it lol. After it dried up I could not turn it at all. But im the end I got it fixed your video helped me a lot thank you. I deleted my first post to you. Once again thank you for this video.😊
Great video. Totally enthralled watching you work on that reel. Purchased the reel already but going to buy some of those micro tools and one of those mats too. Never knew about all that trick gear.
Haha 👊🏽😁 It hasn’t been bad so far! I put 10lb braid on it. It was backlashing on me a lot yesterday with a little 1/4oz crank bait but I think the bill was catching wind, but it was sending a little 2.8 on a 3/16 pretty well. I still have to catch a fish on it and see how it feels, and I need to play with it more, but I can see why you’d like it. 😊🤙🏽
It was my first BFS reel (Drag Clicker Version) and for the price point I was satisfied. I still use it occasionally for Bass fishing with 3-7 G lures approximate range, however I caught the BFS bug and moved up to higher price point reels for my fishing enjoyment. It still functions for my philosophy of use but isn't my first choice out of the stable. I do recommend it for someone getting into to BFS bass fishing. I don't think I would use it for stream fishing but I think with the right rod it would easily cast 3-4 gram sinking trout minnows for those who do that type of fishing. Obviously not as tight tolerances as Shimano or Haibo/Ark BFS reels so it could be shimmed up a bit (on my copy).
Thanks! Nice go for it dude! 😃🤙🏽 Great to learn how to do it and keep all of your reels running smoothly. 😎 Just make sure you have all the tools and oil and grease before you get into it, then just take your time and follow the video step by step. The more you do it the easier it gets. 😊🤙🏽 Also if it’s your first baitcaster maybe check out this video too, might help you dial it in when casting it. th-cam.com/video/TBKxktNrQ8o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UjXxc54l22nqIrtc
Thanks man 👊🏽 Yeah I agree it’s not too bad for the price, haha casts pretty well honestly kinda fun, just a little cheap feeling especially the handle and obviously yeah it’s definitely no Shimano 😎🤙🏽
@@synaptik111 No prob man hope it helped ya out! 👊🏽 And all the tools and everything I use in these videos are always linked in the video description 😊🤙🏽
yep, I saw that @@WhereWeWild - I've already got precision screwdrivers, so I was wondering which to use so I don't have to do the trial and error thing
Oooooh lol sorry man I have no idea of the exact size, I work on so many reels and they’re all different. I just find the one that fits nice and snug, try to get a good lock up and not strip them out. 😂🤙🏽
It’s really up to you man, but I think the bearing sizes are 5x10x4 (1054) and 3x10x4 (1034) if I’m not mistaken. Can search sites like speed spool bearings or boca bearings, they probably have kits for this reel, even eBay I’m sure would have them. Drag washers I’m not sure of the exact size but I’d probably search for carbontex washers, I think there were 3 all the same size on this reel. I wouldn’t go crazy though honestly, like I wouldn’t buy bearings that are more expensive than the reel costs ya know what I mean? 😁🤙🏽
Haven’t heard of that one. Is it new? 🤔 I honestly don’t know a lot of KastKing reels brother, haha this is the only one I’ve tried. I tend to stick with Shimano mostly or Daiwa, things last forever. 🤙🏽
Couple of concerns with this reel but what can you expect from less than $100 reel. My handle has play when reeling (left to right)... Im not too sure if its normal. The tolerances between the spool and frame issue? I have .20 mm line that can pass through between spool and frame. the star drag sometimes doesnt click when tightening or loosing. The drag doesnt seem as smooth and you can feel tension up until the click and then sudden looseness then retight line (very minimal). overall not too bad for the price
Thanks for the info man 👊🏽 I’ve used the reel a handful of times since this but haven’t really really pushed it yet. So far not too bad, casts pretty well I got 10lb braid on it, no major issues yet but we will see how it goes haha 😁🤙🏽

Also the Black shaft is to decrease overall spool mass for throwing those lighter lures, and nice video!!!

Def appreciate the complete teardown and buildup - Thanks! What size driver bits did you use for the various screws?

Could you tell me what bearings would be the best upgrade for this .. and drag washers ???

Like to see a review tune up on KastKing Royale legend pro celestial baitcaster. Almost zero reviews and nothing on tune ups or upgrades possible.
