Legion from TesserAct is one of the greatest metal songs I’ve ever heard. I still tear up at the end of the song even though I probably listen to it several hundred times.
Quantum Flux and Blackwater Park are perfect 10/10s for me.
Hadn't heard Aviations until this vid...and that's a huge mistake on my part. Just did a dive into a bunch of reactions for it (Drew, bohgdan, Geebz) and shared it with my prog loving friend. Thanks for this vid!

Disembodied Tyrant is great, but i would personally choose The Divine Stigmata
wouldn't put Pain Ramains trilogy on my top 10 but it's undeniably great
as for the rest, about half of them i never heard of and the other half i don't really care about
Hard agree on the Nihilist Blues song, it's so underrated, such a banger! The "breakdown" after the first chorus, is just insane - I imagine people who have experienced it live absolutely loved it. ITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL I first heard on your channel, and loved it, even though I'm not a huge fan of prog to be honest. Underoath is such an interesting band too, there are songs that I love from them, like Catch Myself Catching Myself, or whole albums that I dislike, but I really enjoyed their "live" sessions. Silent Planet is just OP, especially the Superbloom album. I believe I first heard the Refused song, in the first Crank movie. :DDD
Blackshape is so awesome the whole self titled album is 10/10

Yes! Widower is one of my favorite Dillinger songs.
Misery Signals is one of the best bands of all time. I can listen to every album and enjoy every song. Only a handful of others bands I can say that about, maybe not even a handful.

3:58 VERY hot take. one of the most unlistenable BMTH songs imo. BMTH has been my favorite band for a long time and i really don't think they have many bad songs, but this one is just 5 minutes of torture.
and don't take this comment as me hating on pop, as BMTH have lots of good songs from their pop era (Follow You, True Friends, Mother Tongue...), but this one just doesn't sound good to me. maybe if it was 3 minutes shorter it wouldn't be as boring, which is funny because my current favorite "And The Snakes Start To Sing", is just over 5 mins long, and i also love Hospital for Souls which is potentially one of BMTH's longest songs, but idk Nihilist Blues is just boring to me

Glasswaves are one of the best new bands imo! - they are openly inspired by Bad Omens, Dayseeker, Plot in You and BMTH. “Mistakes” and “Dead Dreams” are absolutely amazing from them ;)

Off the top of my head, I'd say Erra - Alpha Seed is a 10/10. Blew my mind when I heard it for the first time and it's still a banger today. Augment is probably a 10/10 album for me, come to think of it.

Thank you for including Underoath....they are my all time favorite band...define the great line is my most listened album ever. And I think it's always worth a listen for everybody not knowing them or this specific album.

On Misery Signals being underappreciated - I was at a bar in Milwaukee years ago and their bassist Kyle was bartending. It was cool to see him, but a band that influential and respected should be able to live off of their music alone. They deserved more commercial success for sure.
Dude, Yes! I completely agree. Define The Great Line is a masterpiece and definitely my favorite Underoath album Hands down but I will argue that imo Casting Such a Thin Shadow is one of my favorite songs of all time. I still get chills every time I listen to it. It's absolutely beautiful
A perfect metalcore song for me is Architects - Castles In The Air
Excluding the fact that the song kills, i think it's a perfect mix of classic metalcore with the more modern djenty stuff that is a trend right now. Chorus is awesome, riffs are killer, breakdowns don't feel lame and the final moments are epic.
SO HAPPY to see Misery Sigs make this list!! What's missing? 'Make Total Destroy' Periphery. It just.... has to be 10/10 for all time.
Nihilist blues is so fucking awesome. The Annisokay cover is dope too, if you haven't checked it out yet I highly recommend it
The 2020 polaris album and the amity affliction album with Pittsburgh on it are both 10 out 10 albums.
