  • I decided to do my crochet braids over with pre-curled hair this time.
    It was definitely less time consuming.
    I can't wait to try this style with different types of curls and waves!
    It's fun and sassy all in one.
    I hope you see me soon!

      Thank you. This soft dread hair can be found on samsbeauty.com and in some urban beauty supply stores. Since its a curly texture hair, you don't need to knot it many times. After about a week, it looks more natural.

    • @SheSwitchedItUp
      @SheSwitchedItUp  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! No, I wait until after I've installed all the crochet braids before I start pulling them apart. However, at the top I did pull them apart before I started adding them, this way it wasn't so bulky.

    I really appreciate your tutorial. This looks great! I am going to try the style. I am not sure about the spacing with regards to how many installments you put on one braid? I don't want it toooooo big. If you can reply that would help me a lot. Other than that.... your video was extremely clear and to the point. Thank you.

    • @SheSwitchedItUp
      @SheSwitchedItUp  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the support. You want your braids in the front to be smaller so that the parting is more natural. The braids in the back can be bigger, with less instalments.

    Did you notice alot of frizz with this hair over time? I currently have freetress Bohemian hair installed and even though I sleep in a silk bonnet nightly it still tends to get frizzy. Like I'm cutting frizzy pieces off daily.

    • @SheSwitchedItUp
      @SheSwitchedItUp  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, there are times when I don't put the bonnet on, let's say to take a nap, and I notice some frizz afterwards. Another way you can get frizz is if you like to pull and fluff your hair often. I try not to do it as much, but sometimes I don't realize I'm doing it. If your hair is too frizzy, try spritzing it with some water, and take each crochet braid and re-twist them around your finger. This should extend the longevity of your style. A light mousse can help too. I hope this helps!

    Did you cut thid hair after installing it? I want to do this it looks beautiful. But im afraid i want be able to cut it into a beautiful shape like this if it needs cutting after installed.

    • @SheSwitchedItUp
      @SheSwitchedItUp  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Yes I cut it. It was on my shoulders, and that's how hair bunches and mattes quickly. Either I wear it short or long. This particular time I want it to be short. So I suggest you start from a long state and cut it to where you're comfortable. This way you don't cut too much off. Good luck!

    +SheSwitchedItUp your video was GREAT! Love the fact that you didn't ramble on about any and everything. Your hair looks amazing. I am just thinking about how many packs you used and that was not many packs at all. I normally get 6 packs when I do mine but I love the length of yours, so I'll just need 3 packs, you think? I do like volume when I do mine

  • @anitaford6559
    @anitaford6559 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Beautiful! Did the hair stay locked in. I want to shampoo mine while its in, did you? Also I'm older and you said it's hot did it tangle a lot? And how long did you keep it in? I'm sorry for asking so many questions.

    • @SheSwitchedItUp
      @SheSwitchedItUp  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Anita FordAnitaF Thank you! Yes for the most part they don't come loose, however it's very easy to pull them out if you don't knot them too many times. I did not shampoo mine. They fortunately did not tangle for me. I kept mine in for about a little over a month.

    • @SheSwitchedItUp
      @SheSwitchedItUp  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! It took about 2.5-3 hours to install. The longest part was braiding my hair as prep. The crocheting part is fairly easy, unless you're using the Marley hair (which you would have to comb out, rod, and dip in hot water).
