    Why? Lots of heat, money, and time for very little gain. Just build an NA motor for the same money and way more power. A simple 1776(90.5mm pistons) 110 cam and cadrons, will absolutely smoke this set up.

      I gotta say, no offense but: if somebody is doing something just because, then asking why is kind of rude. Like, if the goal is to make a specific performance target then yeah, go the proven route. But if the goal was to supercharge a VW because its a fun idea, then he hit the mark exactly where he wanted. And suggestions that building a different setup would be better are actually off target.
      Personally, I want to do a build like this with dual 300 superchargers and a fuel injection. Why? Why not? Because I can. After I inevitably break the little type-1 1600cc engine I have, I will rebuild it into an NA engine and try installing the setup on a Type-IV 1776cc. Again, just because I can, not because it's the best way to get horsepower. 😁

      Dear Sir
      This engine is typical single port standard set up with 90.5mm bore cylinder(1776).
      Used blower AMR300 with original 34PICT carburetor.
      The pulling is better than stock just like add a big bore carburetor.
      But it also suck much more fuel that useless at high rev.
      Compare with my another modified stroker 86mm bore (1766) dual port dual weber engine.
      With the same car same tranny same ignition.
      The modified engine with dual weber is perform well and better.

      I think the blown set up is very fun and you can get more HP and torque with different carburetor and some engine modify.

    Nice Joe Blow In Australia Make a Kit like that , Do you Reckon it would be OK on a Stock 1600 twin port motor , Im Thinking Of going down that Road , I can Always Rebuld the Motor Later on if I have too

      Hi Sir, I currently work on this kit for twin port engine, I think that will be fine from 1600~1835 on AMR300 , It may not have big difference between Single or Dual port when you have forced induction.The carburetor will need tuneup to suit engine and make big different result .That’s what I learned from this kit. Hopefully it’ll help. Thanks.

    at 0:09, what's the jar-like thing beside the supercharger? What function does it do to the sc? I was searching for VW supercharger setup and I noticed that they have that kind of jar..

    What did you do as far as throttle cable? I see it’s up high, did you use an extension?
