Both true statements gents (and/or ladies) got mine for 20 bucks and spent some money on a plug and play USB stick that had plenty of good mame stuff and other systems. I do still prefer to play SNES on SNES mini and Genesis on Genesis mini because the controllers are just perfect. I have been disappointed that the Genesis 2 mini had NO ONE hack it. It had a much more powerful processor so I couldve played 32x full speed and it had larger internal memory so I could've curated about a dozen of my favorite Sega cd games without having to have an ugly external USB stick. Alas, years have passed and there's not been a peep of anyone interested in hacking it
@angeles2425 some games. Afterburner music plays slow and virtual fighter plays slow...that's what I've noticed anyway. Haven't tried the whole library. Star wars arcade played perfectly from what I recall
8bitdo dongle for NES & SNES classics. Pair most bluetooth controllers. Heard the PS classic USB doesnt allow many controllers, never tried that one. Great vid.
I got a pair of Chinese controllers for the SNES classic that actually works pretty well wireless for free online since the seller took 2 months to send them to me. Literally the day after I filed the refund...the box showed up on my doorstep. It was somewhat hilarious.
That SNES Mini was like $80 original price, so buying a legit one now that they're out of production is gonna be really expensive, but it's my favorite.
Not necessarily. A legitimate console can still be had for $80 - $120 on eBay, even cheaper. I would tell those looking to research the differences between a real and fake one (vids on TH-cam). With a bit of patience, they can get one.
I got mine for the exact same price as it's release. Mint condition, boxed, everything. Probably only played once. There was cheaper ones without the box. So, if you consider inflation, it's actually cheaper.
I did not know the SNES Classic could do PS1 games. I have a 32GB SD card installed in my SNES with at least 10GB of free space. I gota check this out.
I doubt it handles them real well. The Sega mini can play 32x games but they don't all play correctly, mostly I noticed they just ran unexpectedly slow...sometimes the graphics were fine but the music was just slow for some odd reason. Basically if you still remember how a game SHOULD play you will probably be disappointed. The PlayStation mini has a much better all in 1 chip than the others he discussed so it can play those games the others struggle with perfectly...it can't run Sega Saturn, N64 or Dreamcast well at all though but it does great on most 90s arcade games
How may I ask are you powering the SNES Classic with a USB stick stuck in the power port? Is that what the "T" connector is for? You won't fry the USB stick by pushing power into it?
No... Maybe the PlayStation classic would as it has a much more powerful internal system on a chip. It came play things the others struggle with but I haven't tried a texture mapped 3d arcade game on it
Tofer, you are making that up 😂 It's a very popular connector for basic electronics. Having used it in the past and being cheap, it's an obvious choice for Nintendo.
Well... I have to get (again) the Genesis Mini Model 1 at some point, a few years ago I was forced to sell my minis (never got the Ps1 when it comes to the ones capable of being modded, nor the PC Engine... which I had to give up a few days before it was released as my father needed the money for medical treatment and the Genesis 2 I was interested but... since it never arrived to Mexico for a decent price... yeah...), but at least I have both the NES and SNES back (the SNES I had both USA and EUR models, right now only the EUR model... which is my favorite of the two), as for the Genesis Mini, once you install the hack, you can use other controllers like Ps4 and Xbox One/Series (that's how I used the Genesis Mini... ESPECIALLY when I was able to get my siblings and cousins to play for some good old NBA Jam+Tournament Edition sessions), at least I know that I can get a Genesis Mini easily at my place since the Genesis is more niche than the Nintendo and Playstation and it costs at worst the same price as it's launch date, for Ps1... I'm not interested... especially with my Slim Ps3 doing a better job than the Ps1 without making me to pass a hazzle when it comes to controllers.
I have my modded consoles. But one game I couldn't seem to get that was readily available. Was Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow, etc. Can you confirm if these games are in your emulated collection, and if so, do they run well? Thanks for the video. It was a neat perspective on the classics.
I bought a nes and snes mini, and metroid prime for the switch off a local classifieds site for 60dollars a month ago. Both minis were complete and came with their boxes and unopened booklets and posters.
I have all of these and they all run added games great. The PS Classic is kind of hit or miss. Using Autobleem some games freeze up or skip after an amount of time
For the ps classic there were some usbs called trublue mini and it was a plug and play usb but fair warning do not plug the usb into a windows computer because it will corrupt the usb now I need to find someone with Linux to repair the files on the usb
As far as I know, by the time the Model 2 Mini came out, there was no longer an interest in modding the thing when the Genesis Model 1 was pretty much easy to do to begin with (and at my place very easy to find the model 1 due to how niche are the Sega Consoles overall), still, I dunno if it's a good idea to use hakchi or Lunar Project on the model 2 (if you ask me, you better don't... I wouldn't want to risk the model 2 mini... *sigh* if only it wasn't too stupidly expensive the model 2...), I don't think the PC Engine mini was able to be hacked either, I could be wrong of course.
@@PikangsFutaba i agree on the interest not being as high as the model 1, but the model 2 is such a better device, bigger storage and supports the Sega cd library, i won’t chance bricking mine to find out though.
“It’s time to dig ‘em out, and blow them off”. Giggidy 😅
I like that Nintendo used plug compatible with the Wii remotes, it’s great for playing virtual console games on the Wii and Wii U.
Awesome! So cool what you can do with these mini-systems. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
@@tofer.Awhat size flash drive did you use for this?
Please, don't kill me from dysentery.
For emulation, PS Classic is a more powerfull system than the others and the controllers have more buttons out of the box.
And it was very cheap after it flopped. ☮️

I want one that has All the Command and Conquer games 😅
That would be pretty awesome 😅 the PC one with 9 discs lol
I’ve seen those games on steam, one of my favorite classic series
I'm lucky I have all 3 super Nintendo Sega and Nintendo😊😊
What makes them special is the things you can do with them😊
I think being quarantied helped to increase their popularity
wow I didn't know you could mod those too thanks for the info
