Did Cathedral Peak-Southeast Buttress back in 1981. It’s a true classic and highly recommended. Thank you for sharing and bringing back that wonderful memory.
Fell in love with the Cathedral Lakes area and peak when I finished a multi day loop trip back in 2000. Have been going back nearly every year since then. Whether I'm climbing Cathedral or just descending to the lake to grab the trail again, I always take the Budd Lake climbers trail that branches off the Cathedral Lakes trail and takes you to the col between Cathedral and Echo Peaks. If you're backpacking it's a much more gradual grade(except for the descent to the lake) If you're climbing Cathedral, it's the way in(east face) to avoid multiple herd paths being created. I've never seen a bug in Yosemite 'cuz I'm always there in September...
So awesome! Did Cathedral June 18th and it was so amazing. It was a busy route with about 4 groups and 4 soloists as well. And yes, no pictures or video do any of the area justice. Absolutely beautiful! Thx for the video.
I haven't climbed anything in my life but I love watching you two. I am a new subscriber and am curious if this is something that I would like to do in the future! Thanks for inspiring me to check out a class in my area. Rock climbing 101 here I come!
How fun! So glad I discovered yall's channel recently! My fiance and I adore hiking and camping and are planning to get into backpacking soon! I can't wait! I did it in 8th grade with my school and still have the same backpack! I can't believe it! Hope you two have an amazing rest of summer! 🌲💚

Thank you! Backpacking is so great, we love the opportunities it provides for enjoying nature and experiencing the beautiful backcountry
I like your music choices. Did you camp at upper or lower Cathedral Lake?
Wow that was awesome, even for the viewer.
awesome!
Thanks for the video. What camera did you use?
I'm always dreaming of burgers!!
Sick, didn't realize you could climb cathedral. Also, hi kelby my name is also kelby
Hi Kelby! Cathedral is just a super fun one to climb!
Can you camp anywhere you want in Yosemite?
You need a wilderness permit if you are in the backcountry and that determines what area you can camp in
