Really important thing to know for anyone that actually reads this, the tiny damage you do during the passing REALLY matters, as damaging the wings forces a heal, or you win the turn / outturn part of a dogfight as it drastically changes your ability to turn in fights.
Excellent video, simply and well executed! As for the 3rd df (I'm a complete jet noob xD) I'd say you perfectly timed the AB into and out of the first circle you did, whilst he went full throttle into a wide curve, and you got 2 circles in quick succession to then get behind him and finish the fight
It's also wise to know that pulling up is faster than angling down, try to roll for faster turns via pulling up. U do very well in guide making and spacial awareness, especially demonstrating 4d knowledge in tightening a circle rodeo. I've been wanting to t1 my jets on 2042 as I was a jet main on bf4 with 172,000 kills. F35 has some amazing juke tricks with turbine toggle for hover mode but you have to not sit still long and immediately untoggle as a quick brake.
Thank you for the feedback :) and wow! 172,000 kills! I have only played 2 battlefields in my life: bad company 2 and bf2042 Bad company 2 was a loooooooot of fun good luck with t1 the jets, if you want a wingman let me know :)
@AntiSocialElf if I ever get 2042 on pc sure. Stuck g1 ps4 rn. Also note high vehicle sensitivity and deadzones on console really improve reaction turning. Max sensitivity for all help your turn speeds. I'm really glad you demonstrated saving afterburner saving. It goes hand in hand with throttle. Consider adding in the angle "cowboy" trick if u are getting locked onto by antiair missiles, it'll break lock but u can still remount the jet...very rare to not get shot out but can allow u some extra few seconds to survive cooldowns on repair/flair or bait them thinking u bailed
Hi AntiSocialElf, very appreciate your jet guideline video, I learned a lot. i am taiwaneses and I' am not very good at English, so please bear with me. there are some questions about this guideline, could you please correct my mistakes? Fisrt, 1:09 how do you expect the enemy jet is a rookie? how does the pro pilot do when the two jets face to face? Second, 1:22 how to do the tight circle always confuesd me. According to your advice, I think that use the Roll and Yaw together can creat the tight circle compare to the Roll only? Third 2:52 when the two jets passed each other, you inverted and dive the jet and use the afterburner at the same time, my question is why do you use the afterburner when the jet diving? Fourth 4:55 when the radar shows the enemy jet do the horizontal loop from your right anterior side to your left posterior side, you yaw left and do verticle loop to get the attack window, This makes me thinking, if you Yaw right, what will be happened? Thank you again for your help.
Hello! I am happy that my guide helped you, there are other dogfight guides on my channel so be sure to check them out. to answer your questions: 1:09 a pro pilot wouldnt miss this amount of bullets, I was coming down from a stall and he spawned and spotted me first before I could see him, he had enough time to take me down but missed most of his shots 1:22 Yes, use roll and Yaw, Yaw in the same direction of your roll if you want the circle to be tight. this guide can also help: th-cam.com/video/UDc0rj9KGcU/w-d-xo.html 2:52 so in this fight I was against a good pilot and I wanted to have a fast turn, I didnt want to give him a chance to be behind me so I used the afterburner. you will notice that once I got him in my sight on my turn up, I didnt use the afterburner while climbing up. I usually use afterburner to close the distance between me and the enemy jet. watch this: th-cam.com/video/P7RZOEhfMDM/w-d-xo.html 4:55 if I Yaw right my turn radius would be wider, it would be a mistake in this fight and the enemy jet would have been behind me if you have any other questions let me know :)
@@AntiSocialElf Hi, sorry to bother you again, I want to confirm the details of dog fight about afterburner management at 2:52. In the video th-cam.com/video/UDc0rj9KGcU/w-d-xo.html 0:46 I learned that should used the afterburner when the jet climb up, then released when the jet go down. I always follow the rules strictly, but this rule in contrast to this video at 2:52, and this makes me so confused. Another question I want to ask regarding the tight circle. We already knew when used the Yaw and Roll together, we can get the tight loop. Can the same concept used in the verticle loop? When I pitch up the jet by used the keyboard and mouse together can create the tight circle compare to the keyboard only? Thank you again for your help.
@@ayr773 Hey, I was checking the comments that were held for review and found some of your comments (I dont know why, but youtube automatically does this) I want to check if you have any more questions?
Great video man! I am trash at dogfights, got my jets to T1 but I can't hack it against decent pilots, especially if they get the jump on me. Thank you for the video, I'm going to try use more verticality in my dogfights, noticing when you turn most of the time you're also angling up or down. Hope to see you on the battlefield.
Great video, thanks a lot, you are the only I found making jet tutorials after the afterburn update. Can you explain more about the loop in the first dogfight? You go sideways down and up the jet, this make the loop more tight?
Hi, glad you have found that helpful. So in bf2042 the way to make a tightest turn is by going full speed + afterburner so I roll right and press yaw right + afterburner to make the circle tighter, I push the nose down first in order to gain more speed before going up to chase the enemy jet if you turn right then yaw left the circle will be wider - good if you want to put enough space between you and the other jet
Fun video, not a jet player myself but great to get the insight for what's going on up there. Why did you win the third dogfight? I'm guessing from watching the guy overused his afterburner & couldn't hold the tight circles whilst you managed yours, and was too far away from you to try the VTOL 'Maverick' trick. Is that right? Now my question -- where were the Lis players whilst you guys were going round and round in predictable circles 😅 (please take that with the humour its intended to have)
Wtf this video is actually good. Bro im not good at managing after burners i use it when my jet is moving upwards cause when you move upwards your jet goes slower i do that with any plane in any game. Sometimes it works sometimes it gets me killed idk if its the best idea. I got the habit from battlefield 4
you are doing it right, as soon as the nose of the jet starts going up hit the afterburner, use from 25% to 50%, or release as soon as the jet flips (or starts to go down) but you have to be able to read the radar to know what the other jet is doing and this will impact your use of the afterburner.
Mostly yes, sometimes I use it during a horizontal turn while Looping against enemy jet, the after burner is a tool now that should be used to have constant speed advantage, if you use it better than the enemy jet and your turns are tight, you will win the dogfight
go to options, mouse and keyboard for PC, or controller for consoles, select Vehicles, there is an option called Vehicle boost, make sure it is on hold and not on click - this will make it work for as long as you are pressing the button, when you stop pressing, it will stop being consumed
@@AntiSocialElf wow, I didn't expect a reply that quickly, just whilst I've got you here, how on earth are the SU's turning on the head of a pin when my F-35 seems to turn like a sailboat
