    Elli, the most clear example are mountains. At the distance they look kind of blueish, but greens and ochres come to life in the foreground. Thank's for sharing your knowledge, you are very inspiring!!

    Thank you, very good video! I know the difference of warm and cool temperature wise. And Opage and translucent. And light and dark. But very good explanation of warm and cool in depth 👌🏼 also the samples with the horses tails. That dark doesn't necessarily means it will go to the background and the light to the front. Like with the dark tail on the left.

    WOW!!! I learned SO MUCH in this video!!! Thank you for this! Does the same principle go for acrylics? I've never used oils. But I know I will! I have a plan to be able to afford the Mastery Program and I will definitely use them then. But for now I'm using fabric paint and acrylics. It works with these also?

    Hi Elli! I have just found you (Milan Art Institute) a week ago by watching the channel of a student of yours. Fantastic. I have a question: I teach K-8 Art in a private school and I am wondering how I can teach them about warm and cool colors as you teach your Art Institute students. Are kindergarteners a little young to learn your color theory?

  • @nsuarez

    Wish I could buy these in the Philippines. Do you also sell bigger tubes for colors like white, black, or yellow? I tend to run out of these sooner than other colors.

    can i apply this to acrylic and soft pastel color too?

    • @elysegalloway
      @elysegalloway 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They said these techniques don't apply to acrylic since it's plastic synthetic color instead of natural pigments. High-quality Pastel uses natural pigments that are the same as oils and watercolor, so (theoretically) yes, it should work.

      Doesn't matter what media. You just need to know what color has a red or green bias.
