- Super mario odyssey is one of my favorite games of all time and one of my favorite features are all the outfits mario can wear! Mario has a variety of different hats and outfits to make playing super mario odyssey that much more unique. Sincer I just finished ranking the super mario maker 2 mii costumes I thought I would rank all the mario odyssey outfits and costumes from worst to best. I will also be going over all of mario odysseys' outfit and costume's origins. So join me as I rank the top 10 smo outfits and all the outfits and costumes in super mario odyssey!

A nice little touch with the winter outfit, and probably some others as well, is that Mario won’t shiver in cold areas when wearing it
Likewise, any summer outfits will stop Mario from sweating in hot areas
Except for Sand Kingdom, he will always sweat there no matter what costume you wear
I always change Mario’s outfit with the weather because I feel bad if he is too hot or cold, so I love that they added that

And the astronaut costume is air conditioned like an actual astronaut suit, so you don’t shiver OR sweat, even in Sand Kingdom!
The thing I love most about the 64 skin is that the body goes amazing with any hat. Seriously tho if you haven’t tried out all the hats with the 64 skin it looks awesome. He even makes the caveman and clown hat look good

i disagree with a lot of placements, but im glad the skeleton and sunshine outfits got ranked so high
my favourite outfit combo when i played odyssey was the skeleton + sunshine shades. i love being a cool skeleton

Just got Mario Odyssey and beat the game. It was spectacular! Love all the movement options and challenges. And the costumes. Especially the costumes. I guess that's kinda why I clicked on this video but.... yeah! Happy Holidays everyone!

To be fair, Mario started as an 8 bit little dude who jumped and broke barrels with hammers, and cappy was created in a time when characters can be more fleshed out and have personality. Video game character creation has evolved majorly since the 80s

Great video! I honestly agree with every costume and where it's placed. Mario doesn't look good as an animal or female so I'm surprised that many costumes were like that. I also couldn't help but notice the custom descriptions for the costume pieces.

Now this is a list that makes sense. Not only do I like most of your opinions for this video, but I feel like if Nintendo made a list, it would be a perfect replication of this one. I just saw the Satellaview Suit description and I’m so happy that you included that!
I'm not entirely sure how you would do this, and it's understandable that you didn't, but I would've liked it if for the standalone hats and outfits you ranked them based on how well they work with other outfits. The Captain's Hat in particular goes REALLY well with most of the "suit" outfits.
I only noticed those custom descriptions when I looked at the invisibility cap.

The doctor outfit is actually from the Nintendo Entertainment System game titled Dr. Mario and his appearance in melee is to expand the roster and not the first appearance of the outfit

I like to think that the satellite dish needs to be used for the dark side and the darker side to stay worm. In my opinion you should be able to get the space suit for free and you need it to breath outside in the moon.

The baseball suit is actually a reference to the anime movie "The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach" it's the attire of the protagonist of the game Mario is playing on his NES which short circuits, releasing Peach and Koopa and setting the plot in motion

Your Choices are all good and I should point out that the knight costume may not be a Mario reference but it does remind me of the "King Arthur" default knight armor in the game where if the King Arthur character is hit just once in his first armor he has to continue on in only his underwear so if you use the knight helmet and the boxer shorts as mixed pair and rank various mixed outfits that might be a good starting point

Personally, my favorite outfit is the 8-bit Mario, but I haven't unlocked them all yet so I can't really say it is. Odyssey Central, Is there anything you don't like about Super Mario Odyssey? My least favorite thing about the game is that some moons are incredibly hard when I don't think they need to be, like Secret 2D Treasure in the mushroom kingdom. Do you agree with me, or do you like the challenge of it? Oh and is Mario invisible when he has the invisibility cap and is in 2D sections? Awesome ranking. One flaw though and I am going to take on the challenge of the description you put on the doctor cap. The doctor outfit comes from the game Dr. Mario. I know this because it's one of my favourite grants.

The reason the painter outfit is found in the Luncheon Kingdom I think is because it includes an apron which is worn by painters and chiefs alike.
