    Glad to have you back again. I enjoyed getting to know you when you were putting out travel videos regularly. It was always interesting to see the perspective of an Australian and a former policeman as travelers together. Your ability to connect with your audience has been very endearing and I am looking forward to having that again. When you quit your job, Marc, I thought that was good because you would have greater freedom to travel and did not have to be where there is cell service during business hours every weekday. I was hoping your courses you offered would pay the way for your travels. Then you took the job as CEO and I thought your former job was stressful enough, but now being CEO has to be even worse. Please prove me wrong, for your sake, Julie’s sake, and mine!! I will really enjoy being wrong this time!!

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI there, thanks for your kind words. We are happy to be able to prove you wrong as you hoped! The CEO job is not a replacement for RVLove and RV Success School - in fact at the moment it is an unpaid role to help grow ENTV - it is not full-time. RVLove and RV Success School remain our focus and they are growing leaps and bounds! We had an incredibly busy start to 2018 with so many wonderful opportunities and these have taken up more time than we imagined. We will be revealing more in a video soon, but as a heads up, we got a book deal from a major publisher in February and had a VERY tight deadline, so we had to bury ourselves into writing all of February and March. In April we took a short break to catch our breath and then headed to Texas for filming of the RV Nomads movie, as well as a couple of rounds of book edits... we are now in Capulin, New Mexico enjoying a lovely little quiet and scenic RV park again - taking a breather and catching up with the RV Nomads team again in a few days for phase 2 of movie production. We are then heading to Colorado to visit family and spending the summer in Oregon - can't wait! We have definitely been working much harder than we would like this year - but it's not every day (or every lifetime) that you get offered a book deal by a major publisher, the opportunity to be in a movie, and help build a streaming TV content platform - all at the same time! We've probably bitten off more than we can chew in the short term, but we see the light at the end of the tunnel, and what we have created will definitely be very valuable for others on the RV journey, and also help us take our own business to the next level. Thank you for your care and concern for us - we truly appreciate it! And even though the rest of 2018 is shaping up to be busy as well, we hope (intend) for it to lay foundations for us to enjoy even greater freedoms and travels in 2019 and beyond. All the best to you!

    Thank you so much for getting back to me. I will go on the Newmar site again and see if I can get the UVW. Some on line specs don't give you every number. I really like the Newmar, especially since they've added that special escape door on their diesel models.

    It seems obvious to have the bunk space double as office but you only see conversions. You would think the industry would pick up on this and design a 3-way...bunk, extra storage, or office space design. I do see lots of extra closet or bunk uses....but office for me makes sense...no one can not enjoy /utilize a home/business space. Using the table/dinette just means you have to move the stuff to eat Constantly! Thanks for pointing out this design need.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure thing! It is our hope that more manufacturers start to consider "flex space" options for RVers to cater to multiple uses - whether it is an office, bedroom, craft room or other. We have already conveyed our thoughts directly with a few, time will tell if they actually pay attention and do anything about it... the things is, RVs are selling like hotcakes "as is" as the moment so it's probably not high priority... :(

    • @arne6787
      @arne6787 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just got a chev c30 1978 Brougham. It has the bunk space in back. I see it could be modified for extra bunk, closet space, or office space if the desk and top bunk boards are made removable/exchangeable. I would store the extra board for top bunk on the bottom bunk to serve as office floor and added support for office chair.

      Our last video on that topic is a bit outdated. We have been planning on getting a new one out for a couple months now. Hopefully it will be up soon. In the meantime, our favorite resources about internet connectivity are www.rvmobileinternet.com/ And, if shopping for gear, check out rvlove.com/ShopLL to link to Livinlite.net. Both websites are excellent resources for internet connectivity education and gear.

    Great renovation. I'm hoping you can clarify something for me. I've been reading about GVWR and GCWR. I think I understand what they are, but a diesel motorhome I've been researching has a GVWR of 31400 and a GCWR of 33000. Does that mean it can only tow less the 2000 lbs? This s doesn't seem reasonable for Class A diesel.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Jean. Glad to see you are doing your due diligence with your research. That is indeed a very surprising pair of numbers. I would be shocked to see a diesel coach rated to only tow 1600 pounds. I am curious about what the UVW (unloaded vehicle weight) is on that coach. Perhaps it only weighs 26,000 pounds unloaded which would mean that you have 7,000 pounds of weight to play with between cargo and towed vehicle, but if carrying 5,000 pounds of cargo would leave you with very little tow capacity. If light on cargo, you would have more tow capacity. Still seems like a very unlikely pair of numbers though. I haven't previously heard of any diesel class A coaches with less than 5,000 pound tow capacity ratings. But I HAVE seen some diesel class A coaches with less than 2,000 pounds of cargo capacity.

    Can you recommend anyone who can do the refitting of an office in an RV? or a RV already with ,mobile office? thank you

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many shops that would be willing to modify an RV for a workspace, and we are starting to see more and more manufacturers including floor plan options with office space as the interest and ability for remote works continues to grow. But we don't have any particular shops we are comfortable recommending at this time. Thank you. -M

    This is a little off subject but I couldn't find another video that matched my question any better. Do you have a fireproof safe or bag to keep your important documents (titles, passports, wills, social security cards, etc.) safe in the case of fire? We have a large fireproof safe in our home that we are giving to our son since we are downsizing and selling our home in preparation for full time RVing. We can't take that large of a safe with us. We are interested in the larger, briefcase type fireproof bags and were looking on Amazon but there are so many mixed reviews. Thought we would check to see if you have any advice before we buy since we trust your opinion.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We think it is a great idea to have a fireproof safe for important documents, because of course, if there is ever a fire, you want to be focused on getting out, and not worrying about your documents. Hopefully a fireproof safe will still withstand the high heat of RV fires. Sorry, but can't provide you any specific advice around types of safes. It seems that the propane fridges, and engines are two of the main causes of fires, so consider mounting the safe away from those two areas to increase the odds of it surviving the fire if, heaven forbid, you ever have a fire. Wishing you safe travels.

    • @BretAllen1
      @BretAllen1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RVLove | Marc & Julie Bennett, well that's cool. Unfortunately for us, our jobs require our presence "on-site," so when we're on trips, work is the LAST thing we want to be focused on. :) That's awesome to have the ability to work remotely full-time! I can see that there would be advantages for certain! Occasionally, we could work remotely, but not all the time.

    • @Rvlove
      @Rvlove  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there are advantages, we are fortunate... and totally understand your desire to completely switch off when not working! Good for you - for too many these days the lines between work and play get blurred, even for us now that RVing is our work, it gets tricky for sure. When Marc had a regular job it was easier to draw the lines, not so much now, but at least we get to choose our work, hours, location, don't have a commute and aren't in a cubicle. Everything has it's trade offs! We actually love taking the occasional cruise to even have a break from RVing - ha!
