VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
With a passion for designing and building, Quin is on his 7th van build! His current rig is a box truck office on wheels that converts into a sleeper similar to a hotel room. There's an overall Japanese theme with frosted windows that glow at night, lanterns, and an abundance of soft wood tones.
An incredible feature is the main office area elevates through the roof for an exterior office overlooking the landscape. He installed a 5x5ft pull-out back porch that completely disappears under the truck when not in use. Quin primarily uses this tiny home on wheels as an office with multiple places to work and several projector screens around the interior. Although there aren't any windows, a massive skylight above lets in enough natural light to enhance the space!

Best design I ever seen in the entire youtube conversion videos! Deck? Crazy! Window design?crazy! Lantern lights! So clean and neat design theme. I never been shocked by watching conversion video before. This one is really good.

This is by far one of the best builds ever , that initial shot showing the inside had me captivated .... it is so simple looking , clean yet complex . I appreciate the thinking put into this ...... I was stationed in Okinawa and rented an apt , I immediately saw the influence . Also the presentation was very good ...... Great job sir 👍

Quin is an awesome photographer too! If you haven't seen his work I highly suggest checking it out. This rig is insane and ridiculous. I love all the fun kinda novelty features. Really thinking outside the box, inside the box truck.
He thinks it's a van though. Seems like he doesn't know vans existed before conversions and all conversions are vans. It's hilarious how often he calls it a van.
@@heirrose1606 I mean it kinda is. It’s on a van chassis. I know box trucks are often referred to as trucks but they’re also considered cutaway vans. 🤷🏼♂️
@@wildsage By definition Vans are one piece. Title says box truck. The guy seems cool though confused and if we were friends I'd call him on it because it's hilarious how often he says it on this video and to help him out at the same time like a real friend would. My educated guess that he is confused comes from him calling his pan a pot. I'll have to check out his photography work. He's got great design skills for sure.

FOR YOUR UPPER WINDOW GO WITH A CAR SEAL FOR WINDOWS OR DOORS ETC. CONVERTIBLES DON'T LEAK. JUST A SUGGESTION. Loved it.
Quinn is a genius! That whole Happy Jack system and going through the roof blew me away. I also love the simplicity of the design of that box truck. Even though I would prefer a stationary sink with a drain, I'm sure using a portable wash basin works for a lot of people. Great job Quinn!

@@heirrose1606 The box van is way beyond a standard or sprinter style rig for sure. Save $ and have a more rugged unit by starting with a box van! I can testify.
@@Rvbandwagon By definition Vans are one piece. I'm definitely impressed by this set-up. I'm hoping to find something to stick Ford's $4k electric engine on when those are back in stock. It's sad to me the incognito aspect is becoming increasingly more important to a build. Although instead of Bob's Towing like he mentioned maybe a Furniture company truck might make more sense since moving trucks get more attention I'm sure.

With your talents you need to come up with a trim-kit for the outside, that would go from a commercial look that you have now and when you want to go to the beach, maybe you can have some kind of a shade screens that's fixed to the top of the box and crank down by hand or electric. Then have some kind of a scene painted on it, surfing or a woody look and roll it up when not in uses 🤔 😜

I'm taking an old thrift store antique desk and making my bathroom around that so my potty chair can fit concealed underneath with wheels.. I'm building and designing my own studio.. I'm going to start making exploring films of my other Berry my little mixed doggy (other grandson)
I'm using him for practice but I love him like family he is ‼️💕 I can't wait he's going to be so excited 😊

I'm in awe of the Happijac bed lift that levitates straight through the roof, ha ha! Imagine sunbathing shirtless while working on your laptop below deck. Utterly nuts and I'm loving it!
I like your van. The Ford E350 is a solid beast. Nice and roomy too. Your furniture is modular. The outside deck is genius and I'm in envy of that beautiful platform. So nice!
You should consider a small camp kitchen box that you unfold, Japanese style to fit a stove, cutlery, pans, etc. Look at Novice DIYer (2 videos), and Pungo Prairie Lake Moomaw Chuck Box (2 videos) for the smartest designs. Build that and you have a rolling kitchen you can put on your deck and cook on. Add a big fridge, this is important, so you can freeze or refrigerate cooked food for a week and free yourself. Not having a kitchen means you are eating poorly which is bad for health. Also add a shower, a proper one, not that makeshift Mickey Mouse thingie. Now its a build. Best van builds are by Humble Road. You see how he laid out his plumbing, its a work of art.

Of all the campers , trucks, vans etc that I've seen so far, this one is my favourite! The bed is massive! I hate small sleeping areas in campers. This built is perfect for me and my family. Thanks for sharing!

My grand parents travelled in a combi van and they used electric pan and electric pot. No need for a hot plate. Also love the pull out deck, great build. Lovely.

it has solar, and a toilet, but I didn't see a shower.maybe they can make the front passenger seat space into a shower.

Not sure if you mentioned. I guess the roof would have to be open for it to lift?

I really love the Japanese design. I can see how a full kitchen can easily be added and also a bathroom with shower. I would put a canopy over the back porch and make sure the back doors click onto the back patio adding a lovely outside living room

I have to wonder abt how I'd do.w/o any windows or natural light, but this is basically a good starting point for me since I also was looking @ the prospect of a mobile office/workshop w/the ability for me to get a comfortable night's sleep when I need it.This is a scale I can relate to & it's not very complicated. We are kindred spirits otherwise w/the lighting. Thanks for showing what I have considered can be done! 😁
