Rather than buy packing cubes I repurpose the clear, zipper bags that new sheets/blankets come in. It allows me to store my clothes in the overhead cabinet in the bedroom. Without them it was an annoying mess.

I never store clothes in any type of plastic - just asking for trouble. Mold/mildew/smelly does not happen with breathable cloth cubes!

We are not full time, so I use those zippered pouches for packing the kids' outfits for each day. I pack their daily clothes, underwear, and socks in each one and then put them in a Target bin. Then each morning they just pull that pouch out to get dressed. Helps with them rifling through clothes and leaving things disorganized, as well as saving time. I do this for hotel trips where we are using suitcases, too, or camp.

Not sure if this is a hack, but certainly a must have: Wearable head lamp. Invaluable to have for all those times you are doing things around the RV at night and want both hands free, whether it be pulling in late and setting up camp, breakdown on the side of the road at night, or needing to take the dog for a midnight piddle.

rather than buying a plastic bin from the Dollar Tree to hold multiple smaller items, I reuse clear plastic salad containers that you get spring mix, spinach or kale in. They are clear which is super helpful to see what is in the bin. And as shown in this video it makes it easy to get things down from those high cabinets.

A couple of hacks to add…. We used Command Picture hanger velcro strips to mount pictures, a magnetic knife rack, and even an Apple TV unit under our wall mount TV. To reduce light coming in skylights in the mornings, we insert sheets of the silver heat insulation inside the skylight and close them in the shade. I leave those in also when the RV is stored to reduce heat in the skylight units.

Just ordered the grill, I've searched for something like it, thx! Btw, my cheap storage hack is to reuse the clear plastic tubs that organic salad greens come in. They are great for keeping things from rolling around in the fridge.

There are now laundry soaps that are like paper. Earthbreeze is the one we are trying.
Packaging is bio degradable. Comes in the male in an envelope instead of a box.
Little more expensive but huge soace saver and good for anyone with weight restrictions from injuries or physical health conditions.
Great gift basket idea as well.
Can store for rainy day economical struggles since they dont take up any space.
    60 loads per envelope.
Can store a years worth of detergant without needing and entire storage room to do so. One square ft vs one sq ft per container:
    Smell good.

If you travel on the west coast during the summer, you may not be able to use your grill with burn bans. They restrict what you can use to bbq. Propane grills can be used but charcoal & wood fires are restricted. Just keep that in mind. Great hacks!

You have the coffe-maker plugged into the short extension cord which hangs down from the inconveniently placed outlet --- you could combine this hack with the mounting tape and attach the power bar of the extension cord to the wall behind or beside the coffe-maker, and that would keep it from dangling down.

I love these hacks especially the broom holder for flashlight and screwdriver, the containers for snacks. I saw them in our Dollar Tree but was not sure if they would be air tight. What do you use for flour and sugar containers? I liked the bags for games, the cord holder, and boxes for batteries, jewelry or even hair accessories. I have a home and 5th wheel so having something to organize at home and bring back and forth is very nice!

I ordered clothes online and if they come in zip bag I reuse those bags. Under our rig my husband has straps to strap the golf cart down and other stuff and he just had it laying around. So a lot of the little stuff I put in those bags and you can see through them. And he knows where everything is inside the container. I take a larger empty prescription bottle (plastic) , put 15 to 20 cotton balls in, fill up with rubbing alcohol. Set close to fire pit, lol I love a campfire. When it’s time to fire up I simply put one to two alcohol soaked cotton balls on bottom and add kindling then light. Cotton balls burn a long time. I rubber band an old pair tweezers to bottle for extracting cotton balls.

I just subscribed. At 48 yrs old I just got my first camper (I’ve always been a die hard tenter). It was my mother in laws and this summer we are doing repairs so it’ll be good to go next year. In the meantime I am soaking up every tip I can get so I can look like a pro on my first “camper” camping trip!

I believe you found your Petoskey stones on the shore of Lake MICHIGAN in Petoskey, Michigan. LOL
I also use “space bags” for storing off season items - they fit great in our under the bed storage tote!”
Keep up the great work - we enjoy your channel, and also, we have a junk drawer too but may convert it to a drunk drawer. 😂

You are the best!!!!!!! The ideas for games were brilliant! Now does anyone have a idea for storing and dispensing zip lock bags? Once we open a box, it seems they are constantly spilling out into our drawer.

I know they make those organizer boxes, but they are too big for my RV drawers. I’ll keep you posted if I find a hack!

I put them all inside a gallon size ziplock. This way they aren't all over the place and they stay clean!

Re-enforce the box with clear moving tape.
All types of empty boxes can be used on a cutting board as a disposable easy clean up surface.

I roll a portion of the zip lock bags and use a new hair band to keep them together. This fits much nicer in my small drawer, it’s easy to grab the size needed, and easy to return unused bags to the drawer.

I think the best is a thermostat controller in the kitchen to plug in an electric heater for when we have AC power. The electric heater sits by the dinette, while the temp sensor is in the bedroom. That way, the temp in the bedroom is controlled precisely by the heater which is out of the way by the dinette. I bought the controller and heater on amazon because the thermostats on heaters are very poor and can't control the temp in the bedroom because there is no space for a heater in the bedroom.
