i just got my bronco sport outer banks i love it so far!! its cactus gray too! the only thing it didn’t come with is the tow package, do you know if there is a way to add that on?
That's awesome Brielea! You can add in the receiver aftermarket.. any Ford dealer can do it and you can have U-Haul do it.. The dealer install is usually nicer IMO
@CarsWithSteve, I've probably mentioned this before, but as someone who grew up in Colorado, I have fond memories of the old school Bronco from the 80's, and how it would take a group of us (teenagers at the time) into the mountains for ski trips. I sort of lament how it's shrunk in its current version.
The Sport is a huge deviation from the full size but it was smart on Ford's part to offer something smaller for people who want something more capable than the Escape. Curious, when was the last time you were in a Bronco? Had a chance to take a full size for a spin?
@@CarsWithSteve Wow, good question. I believe it would have been sometime in the 90's since I was last in a Bronco. At the time, I had an Oldsmobile Bravada (Oldsmobile's version of a Chevy Blazer.)
Thanks! It depends on what you find important.. the 2025 models have a new infotainment screen that supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto along with a new digital cluster screen. It's very similar to the existing Escape. If you don't care about the extra tech you'd probably be able to get a good deal on a '24
It should fit as the full size spare is available depending on your build! If you have the lower profile storage cover (without a lip) it might make the cover sit higher
Nope! You can still get Navy Blue in the 2024 and it's rebranded as Platinum Blue in the 2025. You're most likely going to have to do a factory order for the blue though as I find most dealers opt for the brown
If yours has support for it from the factory you'd see the option to enable or disable in the media screen under Settings --> Vehicle Settings --> Windows.. If it doesn't you might be able to enable it using Forscan or by asking your service manager if they can make it happen
You can order most of it through Ford Front Bash Plate - LX6Z-9A147-B Fuel Tank Plate - LX6Z9A147A Fuel Tank Upper Shield - LX6Z9B007A There are some companies that offer aftermarket ones that'll be a bit more resilient because of thicker metal used
Yes, it'll be the same setup in the Big Bend, Heritage, Free Wheeling and Outer Banks. The Bandlands has an advanced AWD system that has a twin rear clutch setup with an AWD lock so it can be driven more like a traditional 4WD car
@@CarsWithSteve I'm sorry, but I never realized if their four-wheel drive is different. I'm interested in the two cars I wrote above. I'm using a translator and I don't quite understand you. Thank you.
We have the 22 bronco sport outer banks in cactus gray and when it got to 22 months old its been nothing but a nightmare nothing but trouble it only has 26k miles on it its been garage kept all maintenance kept up all done by ford and its left my wife and kids stranded 4 times and its been back to the dealership in their shop 3 times people beaware of the recalls and issues i wish we knew what we were getting into but all i can say is good luck folks
wow.. so yours is one of the brutal unicorns that was affected by all 3 recalls. Have you tried reaching out to Ford corporate to try and get them to buy it back?
Get all of your service records in hand, all noted complaints from the service dept and then call up Ford Canada or USA. Talk to customer support and you'll probably need to escalate to supervisors. No guarantee they'll offer to buy it back but if you press them enough and there's a history of issues they tend to try and work things out
Isn't that 1.5 l engine a 3 cylinder?? A THREE CYLINDER??!! To pull a vehicle of that weight! My last motorcycle was a 1.5 l !! No thanks..... not for me.
Yup.. inline 3.. and it's been pretty reliable for most owners I know that have one. Peppy for its size but there's always the 2.0L turbo in the Badlands that I always recommend to people who want more power
@gars1074 your last motorcycle didn't have a turbo and 180hp and 190ft. lbs of torque. The 0-60 is in the 8 seconds range which is standard for this class.
Just subscribed. Watched a few of your other vids and was truly impressed@ Thanks for the review of the Bronco Sport.
Thanks Gar, appreciate the support!
I prefer the blue. Broncos should be blue for me. I love these!
Alto Blue is my fav color in the Bronco with the Cyber Orange being a very close second!
Thx Steve, Great demo video! I have the Big Bend for now….. my upgrade to Badlands next year or the boxy Bronco
You're welcome! Exciting about the upgrade options. What would make you go for the full size over the Badlands instead?

Always good to hear when people love it! Have you taken yours off-road yet?

Will a full size spare fit inside where the temp is?

Do all Outer Banks trims have Brown leather interior? i miss blue and off-whites.

i just got one yesterday here in mexico, 180km
Nice! What color is yours?
@@CarsWithSteve Here the color its named, "Plata Polar" its like Polar Silver
Close to our Iconic Silver, looks good!
Hi Steve: Is it still possible to operate the windows with the key fob on the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks?

Can you order the underbody protection from the Diamond package separate? It wasn't released yet when I bought my 2023 OB

That's ok! The Badlands trim is the only one that is different. Otherwise, all the other trims are the exact same as the Ford Escape

You’re awesome
Thanks Brenda 😁
Nice ❤❤❤❤
Thanks 🙏🙏
Ford dropped the wiper de-icer on the Outer Banks for 2024. That's a big omission for those of us in Canada
Ohh should have probably pointed that one out. Thanks for mentioning it here!
I relate to that living in Northern Michigan.

The standard engine should be 2 ltr without turbo.
You might get close to the same performance as the 1.5L turbo with a non turbo 2.0L.. but the fuel economy wouldn't be anywhere near as good

Yes, it's a small engine. I drove a 1.5 and the 2.0 and I did purchase the Badlands with the 2.0 but I was impressed with the pep of the 1.5 engine.
