I’ve see bees collecting sap from pines before, last spring an old bloke who owns Where I have an apiary site who is in his eighties rang me and said I better come get this swarm from a pine in his yard and when I got there the trees were Buzzing but upon closer inspection I could see hundreds of thousands of bees collecting sap from the trunk I have never seen so many bees going for sap they were covering the trunks top to bottom of six young trees, i had a hard time explaining to him that they were not swarming but collecting propolis and should be gone in a few days and then the quizzes started so after a cup of tea and an hour of bee chat he knew nearly as much as I do about honey bees and I had no swarm, you win some you lose some but it was great the old fella had such an interest and was purplexed by how the hives operate it was well worth my time and even better I didn’t lose a swarm
Have never commented on you tube before, but after moving back to the USA after living Sydneyside for five years, I simply had to comment here. I loved your humor and watching/listening to you made me miss my friends and my time in Oz. Keep it up - informative and amusing.
I make tincture with propolis and grain alcohol. It makes makes a great antiseptic for cuts and such. Typically you just need to flex the frozen trap to pop the propolis off. We put propolis traps on the hives in the fall which is peak production time for propolis.
I think you have to pay a few cents per song royalties but you will void copyright by changing the lyrics by 25%,so with some swearing and humming thrown in you should be able to butcher any song you like.
Legally, he can sing whatever song he wants. As long as it's his voice, and or transformative to the original work; it's fair use/dealing under Aussie copyright law.
think you'd be better off using plastic mesh netting (perfectly flexible) with the right size small holes, then you could freeze and simply scrunch it up so the propolis falls out, then put the mesh back on.
i dont know if you know this, bet everytime i have seen you use the straps..ive noticed the straps are backwards. theyre supposed to apply tension but the way you put them on theyre just there. youre supposed to increase the tension when applying them but because they are backwards they dont do that. im assuming they dont need to be super tight but i just thought you should know.

do all cover band have to pay and they play in public for a fee so if they dont have to you should not if you are singing it but if you play the music that the original band made then that would be copyright issue. I dont think you performing it matters unless you used the background music to sing to. Do karaoke pay for royalties?
I have never had a clean propolis harvest. The last time I tried, the propolis collector was almost full but I decided to give it one more week. When I went to collect it, it was coated in tiny ants stuck to every surface, thousands of them. This happened three years in a row. Propolis that is 20% ants is rubbish and useless. I have never had a clean propolis harvest. Only compostabale rubbish. Never again. I wasted too much money buying propolis collectors and too much time trying to make them work. The ants make it past my petroleum jelly barriers as if they don't even exist.
