Doing our last honey harvest of the year is always satisfying for me as I now can rest assured all of our hives are down to 2 deeps and ready for the spring time splits. The real bonus this year was how much honey I was able to get, right around 30 gallons. A very respectable amount considering I was thinking it would only be half that amount. Happy New Year to all, and God's peace to you! Mr. Ed

Jeff makes it look simple. It isn't.His demeanor is laid back ,but obviously he has fine tuned this process so thoroughly it looks like a cake walk.Thats a real pro.Bzzz
Thank you for your kind words, but I do the work because I love bees, and that love makes the work joy. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
I didn't think that almost 30 gallons of honey would have been extracted from the frames. Great work and I pray 2025 is a blessed year for you and Mona!
I was extremely surprised when I found out just how much honey I got...and very happy as well. Thank you for your blessings and for watching, and may you and yours have a blessed New Year as well.
God's peace Denise.
Mr. Ed
One year our bees found a local farmers molasses he was feeding the cows. It was the best tasting honey.
I would have loved to have tasted that honey. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Jeffrey.
Mr. Ed
I'm lucky number 369. I've hared and now commenting. If everyone did this, the channel would benefit. Mr. Ed thank you for all the hard work you do. Hugs from Esquimalt🎉
369 are the last digits of my address, it has to bee lucky numbers! Thank you so much for your hugs and kind words, as well as for helping my channel grow. I love sharing my adventures and delighted when ever anyone choses to follow along, thank you very much for that as well. Until the next one, God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Ommggg my hubby, and I can't believe you are harvesting honey at the end of December!!! 😂❤❤😂 wowser and a good Harvesting too! Love ur video's 💗
Hey there Mr. Ed, greetings from Houston I’m a big fan.
I also harvested honey on the 26th. Didn’t get as much, but taken from one hive.
God Bless

Ain't it great living in the south! Awesome hearing you harvested in the dead of winter, and on the exact same day, as me. Thanks for watching. God's peace Baxter.
Mr. Ed
Good afternoon Mr.Ed
Janet and I had a busy morning. Now, we are having our early dinner with your video. It's an awesome video!!! Well, you got a lot of honey for the third time! God bless you and Ms. Mona, I know you are having a wonderful time at the bee convention. Safe travels home Mr.Ed
That is a BIG BEE BASH. Always work to do in making honey at the Abbey. God bless you and all who help you. God bless you and Mona in the new year. May 2025 be the best year yet.
Thank you so very much JJ, and may you and yours have a blessed new year as well. Stay healthy and well! God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Nothing like December honey 🎉
And if you add the amount to what we harvested in the summer, we harvested about 480 gallons this year. Now that's a great haul! Happy New Year Larry and as always, thank you very much. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
The full size hotel steamer pan for an uncapping station is brilliant! You can buy four of those for the price of one uncapping tub. My bees just ordered two for me as a late Christmas present. 😁
Not only do your bees give you honey, they give great Christmas gifts as well. I'm going to have to have a talk with our bees about give Christmas presents. Happy to hear you found something useful for you in your honey house. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
You got a good amount of honey considering some frames only had a small amount. Too bad about the building mishap, but great that it’s getting a new roof. Less worry about the boxes getting wet. I always enjoy watching the honey flow from the extractor. God bless you, Mr Ed🙏😊💕🤗 🍯
The roof over the peacock pen is now complete, but our boxes were left to the elements for a few wet days. I did cover them the best I could with a tarp, so they hopefully will be ok. There is still lots of time to have them dry out before I need them in the spring. I do love making videos on processing honey...especially when I get more than what I had expected. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Hi Jeff, Miss Mona and Novice John ... it's the Bee Year Now !!! Happy Bee Year !! well, you got A LOT of honey off those frames. I'm sure lots of bottles will be filled for the Winter HONEY FIRE SALE at the shop, no ??? Hope the holidays were good to you. Sending my thoughts to New Orleans today. Sadness ... Hope everyone is alright.
Nice little serotonin kick while I sit and knit. Thank you for posting.
Sitting and knitting, two great winter occupations...especially if there is a fire going as well. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff Yep. It's summer here and the temperature got to 39 degrees C the other day, but I knit in winter too.
The only fire in the district is that one about 100km west of here in the mountains, and it's well under control for now.
Takes a professional to stand in amongst those little buggers.😂
Thank you Mr Ed….now go catch some fish.
Not really, just a bee wrangler who loves the sound of bees flying all around him. Got to go catch some fish with Charlie now. Thanks for watching. God's peace Teddy.
Mr. Ed
HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉 thanks for the video 😊I pray that you have a wonderful blessed 2025
Thank you Brian and may you and yours have a blessed and happy new year as well. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
That's a lot of honey for a late honey harvest! I bet that dark honey does taste really good as you have mentioned. Hope you had a very Merry Christmas with the family Mr Ed. God Bless!!!
The honey that I got this winter was absolutely fantastic, not to sweet and lots of body. In truth, I prefer my honey that way which is why I choose a winter honey over a spring honey. Hope your Christmas was wonderful as well and may you have a blessed and happy new year. God's peace Phil.
Mr. Ed
The honey harvesting videos are my favorite!
They rank right at the top for me too, but I sure do love wrangling those bees. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Jacob.

I will keep on watching sweetie.
Your channel gives me hope!
With out hope living has little meaning. Don't worry Melanie, I will continue making videos and sharing the joy in my heart. Until the next one, God's peace.
Mr. Ed
I was surprised at how quickly the wax rose to the top of the honey barrel. I'm learning so much in these wonderful gentle videos. All the best for 2025 to everyone xx
The wax does rise very quickly, but believe it or not, any other trash particle, bee parts or other debris, in the honey will rise as well, but it takes a bit longer. That is the reason I wait at least a week before skimming the wax off, I want all the trash in the honey to be removed. By the way, I will be posting that video on the 17th of January, get ready. Thanks for watching. God's peace Andi.
Mr. Ed
I would buy tickets to sit and watch the girls cleaning up. So peaceful and intriguing. Happy new year to you, all of your family, and friends.
No need to pay for the show, if you were here I'd bee happy to share the experience. I do love standing in the bees as they rob out the supers. Happy New Year to you and yours as well Russ. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
Hello Mr Ed. Gideon from South Africa Here. Evan's grandson. He started me off today with my first hive. I'm starting to love it
Lekker
Hello Gideon, what an honor to have you following along with my bee wrangling adventures along with your grandfather. I think it is so cool that he has introduced you to not only beekeeping but my channel as well. I wish you all the successes in your own beekeeping journey, but with your grandfather as a mentor, I know you will do very well. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
Happy New Year everyone! Well done to the bees for producing all that honey. I have never been near a bee hive😅 but did wonder if that hot knife you sometimes use in bee removals could have been used to uncap the honey cells? I have seen a normal knife being used. The wee comb scraping tool must have been a lot if work.
Yes, you can use the hot knife to uncap. It is really messy imo.
Thank you, and a happy and blessed new year to you and yours as well. A hot knife would work, but the scraping is a lot less messy and faster as well. Trust me, over the years, I have used a dozen methods to uncap the honey cells, but unless you use a machine, it is tiresome work. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Kim.
Mr. Ed
Wonderful to watch you process your honey, it never fails to amaze me. Wishing you a peaceful and joyful 2025. God's peace, Gillian.
I'd much prefer to use the uncapper machine than have to scrape the cappings off by hand, but, for the amount of frames I had on this run it was better to do it by hand. Thank you for your blessings and new years well wishes, and may you and yours be blessed in the new year as well. Thanks for watching. God's peace Gilly.
Mr. Ed
Happy New Year Mr. Ed🎉
I’m watching you in this video put the frames in the extractor and was thinking of a little catch phrase. You said now it’s time start it up. I was thinking now it’s time to spin that honey. Or now it’s time to spin this wheel of honey. Both referring to or into the theme of the price is right! Had to share with you cause I made myself giggle.
God bless and see you in the next one.
Good one!!
@ thank you made myself laugh
Thank you, and a very blessed New Year to you and yours as well! Your comment made me laugh as well, I could see in my mind the same thing. Thank you so much for your blessings and for taking the time to watch the video. Until the next one, God's peace.

Thanks for the video Jeff. Looks like good clean fun but I'm sure it's a lot of hard work.
Fun for sure, but not so clean...lots of sticky going on. Thanks for watching. God's peace Rick.

Inundated with Robsters! Happy New Year for you and Mona! Hope the Fisherman can get to hauling honey and Ralph is still my HERO! Plus Julio and Mr Forklift! Don't want to leave anybody out. Jesus weekend and God Bless ALL Yall!

Jeff I love these honey videos because it shows the fruits of your labor. All that hard work is put into barrels and jars ready to be eaten. Love to see it. God Bless. Happy New Year!!!
For most beekeepers, myself included, getting honey is a big part of keeping bees. And when you get an unexpected harvest like this one it's like winning the lottery. Thank you for your blessings and Happy New Year to you and yours as well Thorne. God's peace.

I am glad I am not doing this job, I hate anything sticky on my hands!! Where are you getting these good looking helpers from, minus Charlie of course. Happy New Year and a prosperous one too. 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
I too hate dirty, sticky hands, but thankfully, clean water is readily available to wash them. John is a novice monk here at the abbey and he has been assigned to help me with the Abbee Honey operation. Who knows, maybe he's the guy who will take over one day. Mr. Ed
Hey Jeff 👋😂 Charlie fishing again 😂 have a great time at NAHBE and i think you're becoming a New Zealand beekeeper extracting in late December 😅😂 ive done a small extraction to get rid of some plastic frames that were included in a nuc i brought and got a few plastic frames, which i personally don't want in my bee's, so extracted and gave them to one of my hobbyists that likes plastic frames and needs drawn comb 😅 got about 22 american pounds of honey out of them so enough for a little bit of a look and i gave a few jars away naturally but two of the frames i knew had sycamore honey and it was almost jet black, never seen such dark honey myself, almost identical in color to what you were pulling out. My other hobbyist threw me a real curveball, one of his hives had two queens in it😂 so got them seperated with a split but he's got a fantastic honey crop coming on too, and no signs of swarming in that hive. One queen was in the bottom deep and the other was in the second deep so easy to split them straight in half😂 have a fantastic time at the conference 👋😂
NAHBE was a blast and I'm already looking forward to next years event. About 2 queens in the same hive, it is not as uncommon as it's made out to bee. Unusual yes, but I am hearing about it more often than ever before which leads me to believe most beekeepers stop looking for another queen once they spot the first one. I know I do that all the time. Keep up the effort of helping others, we are all in the same race and it's wonderful to share the joy. Thanks for watching. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed

get four cheap casters from the farm store and build a scrap wood support under the pump while it is installed so you can just roll it in and hook it up without fighting it.
And add a inexpensive scissor jack to adjust the height to align in the the extractor pipe.
I have always had plans to build a cradle with a hydraulic jack to install the pump, it is on my project list for this year. Trust me, when I get it built I will be showing it off. Stay tuned. Thanks for watching and for your suggestion. Also, I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. It's warm today here, only -6°C (21°F). There is no harvesting of honey this late in the year this far north, bees are tucked in for the winter and hives are bundled up in isolation layers.
Only -6 C, that must bee like a heat wave! I'm so happy I live in the deep south, there is no way me or our bees could handle that cold. I hope your bees are well. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Isabelle.

About 10 days ago I finally got around to pulling an 8 frame medium super I had allowed to stay in place in September because of partly filled and uncapped frames. To my pleasant surprise that super was packed. Almost 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket, really light color and delicious. God bless.
Now that was a haul. I wish I had gotten the same results as you got from your single hive. I processed 180 frames and got only 30 gallons. Still, I'm grateful for the harvest. God's peace Russ.
Mr. Ed

Gotta love the south. I just checked one of my hives and found that it had 2 new queen cells in it. Also had drones looking at me walking around with more to hatch. And a bunch of bees. Its to early yet kids simmer down

Oh, how I wish your abbey sold your honey online. Talk about knowing where your honey comes from, and such a natural process must really imbue complexity to it.
Well, the Abbey Gift Shop does not sell it on line, but I do sell it for them to my TH-cam viewers as long as they live in the US. If you'd like to buy some of our Abbey Honey, especially if it's the honey I just harvested, I'd be more than happy to send you some. The cost is $12.00 for a one pound, plastic bottle, and $11.00 for shipping. If you want more than one bottle, the shipping cost is $19.00 for up to 4 bottles, but each bottle is still $12.00. As soon as I get your check, I will send it out. Make the check out to "St. Joseph Abbey" but send the letter to:
Mr. Ed

St. Benedict, La. 70457
If you'd like, I'll even sign the bottle. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for watching. God's peace.

Golly, that honey almost looks like molasses.. You know me, I can't wait until you scoop that wax, clean it up and melt it. Happy New Year 🎉 to you and Mona.
Some dark and very tasty honey for sure, it will sell very quickly in the Gift Shop as I will mark it as our "Fall Harvest." As soon as I return from NAHBE I will be taking care of the wax, stay tuned for that video. Happy New Year to you and yours Karen. God's peace.

That was a good haul. Thanks for sharing. Hope you and family had agood Christmas and a happy New Year.
A great haul for sure Russell and may you and yours have a blessed and happy new year as well! God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
Jeff I am surprised you don't have a strainer in the top of the drum. It would speed up process and you wouldn't have the messy job of scooping off the wax.
Because so much capping wax is mixed with the honey, I have found that any straining of the honey as it comes from the extractor slows the process down. For me, it's faster to skim the wax in a few days than to strain it out as it is dumped into the drum. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Wow! Where did you get those uncapping pans? Them are idea and awesome.
You can find them at any commercial kitchen supply house, they really work great. Mr. Ed
When I see this, I think you need a two story (maybe only a 6 foot tall bottom floor) honey house with the extractor upstairs and let the honey pour out the bottom into the vat below. No pump, hose or pipe to hook up, or clean out.
As good as an idea to use gravity to move the honey is, the cost of a pump is still way cheaper, and the clean up time would bee a lot less as well. Still, I do appreciate sharing your idea. Thanks for watching. God's peace John.
Mr. Ed
Mr Ed, Happy New Year to you and associates. Well, I have completed my first year of "Beeology" with Mr Ed aka 'Dr. Beeman'. I certainly appreciate your knowledge and your gift of sharing your knowledge about bee keeping and the art of honey processing. I look forward to another successful year.

Ok I was wondering if you could build a 4 wheel cart that your pump would be mounted on and it would just slide under the tank all you would have to do then is put the gasket and clamp ring on easier on you and everyone

Hello from Tampa, Florida and happy New Year’s. Enjoy this video very much thank you for your time and putting them out. Have a question. Is there a difference between the bees that harvest the pollen and the Robber bees?
Nope. Same bees, just collecting food either way. 😋
Thank you, and a very happy New Year to you and yours as well David! There is no difference between robber bees and foraging bees, they are the same bees. It simply takes the right opportunity, unguarded honey, for a forager to become a robber. Actually a novice in the monastery is the first stage of becoming a monk and it lasts for about 9 months. Then, if the community sees there is potential for him, he is allowed to continue his formation and takes temporary vows and is given a habit to wear. Then after 3 to 5 years and approved by the community, he is allowed to take solemn vows and becomes a full fledged monk in the community. The roof is still not finished as of today, but I did give an update in the video that will be posted on the 17th. Have a great week yourself, God's peace Bob.

Aqui no Brasil, colho Mel apenas no mes de Outubro. Passo ano inteiro trabalhando.

I got to busy to treat and lost 25 or so and just extracted almost 1000 lbs myself.
What a terrible loss of bees, but at least you were able to recover the honey...and that was a great haul! Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Warren.
Mr. Ed
@JeffHorchoff I watch you all the time as does my mom. Take cake, God Bless
Good morning, look at that honey. Love your videos.
Happy 2nd day of Christmas
What is that music that you play during the scraping? I like it, very soothing.
The title of the song is "Tupelo Train," and I got it from TH-cam's audio library. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
@ Thanks Jeff, I watch and love your beekeeping videos. I’m not a beekeeper nor have I ever been. I have always been fascinated by God’s wonderful process of nature and bee’s at work encapsulates it perfectly. I love all your videos, I’ll keep on watching because I know you’re going to be making more. LOL. God bless you, you’re doing his work.
Are you planning on keeping the drawn-out combs intact to avoid excess work on the bees in the future, or are you planning on melting the drawn-out wax?
The drawn comb will be intact as it will become my brood box in just a few months. It makes no sense to make the bees draw out new comb when I already have plenty of it for them. Plus, it gives me a big jump on the build up of the colony by having drawn comb to give them. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Steven.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff I figured as much. I remember you made a video on how you vacuumed up bees which made a hive underneath an existing bee trap hive on the abandoned house on stilts, and you thought you found _the_ queen, and you used the comb to build a box hive for the colony, but...
The bees fled from the queen and were attracted to a patch of grass nearby, and so you realized that there was a _second_ queen which you overlooked, and so you had to find that second queen and give the queen and her colony a new home, but since you already built a home for the first queen and colony, you had to settle on a hive with already drawn-out empty comb for her and her daughters to settle in. That's what made me ask.
Cool
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video, thank you so much for taking the time to watch it. Also, I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
We sell our early and late honey separate as spring and fall honey. Spring is always lighter, sweeter and more plentiful. Our late season honey is much darker, much bolder honey notes and not nearly as plentiful. We have regulars on both sides of the fence. I run 25 colonies in N.E. Iowa, still using 5 gallon buckets for storage so it is easy to keep the spring and fall separate. Always enjoy your videos, I am curious, what are your plans with that late season pull of dark honey?
I love my dark fall honey, but I don't get any more of that with my current management plan. The bees get all the late summer/fall honey now.
Like you I sell it as a "limited fall harvest," and because we have so little of it, it sells out in no time at all. Then, we go back to our summer harvest. That we have plenty of, still 250 gallons, but the fall honey only 30 gallons. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Robert.
Mr. Ed
I would strongly suggest viewing how to use burn blackening and multiple tar coatings on posts to vastly prololong anti pest and moisture damage Age old remedy.
Thank you so for the heads up, I am very interested in learning about it and will for sure look into it. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Gary.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff This ancient and international simple technique also works with posts buried in the ground. A separate technique of not using concrete but packing small rocks around the post allows water to drain away from tarred post. Also, on TH-cam. It is obvious that gentle honey bees and gentle wranglers are a good team. Vaya con Dios.
Have you or would it be possible for you to do a video on how you clean up your equipment? It looks like it would take a lot of time to do!!
You would bee surprised, it does not take that long. Check out the video link below from one of our previous harvests showing how I do it. @JeffHorchoff thanks that's a great help!!! How many hives do you have?
@ no problem, happy to do it. We run about 180 hives. God‘s peace brother.

@JeffHorchoff thanks and peace brother...I'll be starting my adventure in bee keeping in the spring...I'll be watching your videos for tips..keep up the great work and videos!!!

I was very surprised to see just how much honey we got from these frames. Thanks for watching. God's peace .

Honey in January? And I'm sitting here looking out at our frozen lake. Lol. Bless you brothers. God Bless ye merry gentlemen.
I was thinking of beekeepers like you when I posted this video. Thank yu for your blessings and for all the time you spend following along. God's peace Mike.

I am a beekeeper in Germany. I love your videos. What surprises me is that open honey boxes are allowed. In Germany, this is prohibited. There are the strict bee disease laws. This is where Varroa and foulbrood are transmitted. All the best for 2025!
The same in Australia. Leaving any honey processing equipment out for the bees to clean up is how diseases are spread throughout the population. That's strictly prohibited.
I guess every country has areas of life where there is no government involvement and other areas where there is a lot. We're not free to spread diseases like that, but we do have health care.
Its right yes, im from Germany to.
So many Virus hidden in Honey, when you let clean bees all your equipment they spread it all over the yards. But I like the Videos from Jeff. Thumb up
Same in my part of Canada, prohibited from feeding bees by any method that is "reasonably likely to cause robbing behavior"
What is their reasoning on that one? Bees forage and rob, its part of what they do naturally.
If you monitor your hives and know they are healthy, I see nothing wrong with letting them clean up equipment...if theres no disease to spread, it shouldnt be a problem.
Thanks for sharing that information. I’m sure that our government will eventually create laws like you are describing. Currently the honey industry has remained below their radar. However some states like New York are starting to mandate registration of our hives. That is a sign things are about to change but enforcement takes money and more resources that aren’t currently available. Are you allowed to use antibiotics without a prescription from a veterinarian to treat for foul brood? What do you use for Varroa mite control?
How are the pumps and hoses cleaned?
They are all flushed out with hot water, very simple. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
The beautiful thing about living in the south is that we can harvest honey anytime we want …well almost anytime !! lol !!!
Isn't that the truth...and so much more! Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. Mr. Ed - how long does it take the bees to clean up those spent frames on the porch of the honey house? Peace, brother. - Jeff M.
The next day the bees had almost all of the honey cleaned up. There still were a few bees flying around looking for scraps, but for the most part it was all gone. Thanks for watching, and see you guys in Louisville. God's peace.

How`s the Snow

Just curious why the frames looked like they had so much black on them? Are they close to blackberries or is it something else? Just curious I’ve not seen that before. God bless and wishing you a very sweet 2025!❤️🥰🙏🏻🍁🇨🇦
I really do not know the answer to that question, my best guess is those frames came off our yard that is in a blueberry orchid. Thank you for your blessings and New Year wishes, and a very blessed new year to you and yours as well Leanne. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Beautiful honey! I would like to purchase some - where do you sell the honey?
Well, the Abbey Gift Shop does not sell honey on line, but I do sell it for them to my TH-cam viewers as long as they live in the US.
Mr. Ed
75376 River Rd.
St. Benedict, La. 70457
If you'd like, I'll even sign the bottle. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for watching. God's peace Amy.
Mr. Ed
Do you roll the spinning machine outside and let the bees clean it off?
I did not, I washed it with water and the water with the honey went outside where the bees could get at it. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
If it had termite damage, why isn't it being rebuilt with the posts up on cement piers? It wouldn't totally eliminate them, but it would keep the end of the post dry and deny the termites any unseen access to the wood. (You'd be able to see their tubes if they went for it.)
The posts were on cement piers, but the termites never got to the outside of the 6X6 to be seen. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff What I mean it that the new posts seem to go all the way to the ground. If on piers, you don't need to wait to see damage on the outside of wood to know that termites have gotten to it. They nest in the ground and come up to the wood to eat, but since they don't like light, they'll build mud tunnels up the side of the cement pier.
hello, stay warm, my cameras outside are just showing the sun coming up.
I is already warm here, a beautiful 62 degrees. Enjoy your day and Happy New Year to you and yours Nancy. God's peace.

Hello Mr Ed my brother how I can care the of honey bees in winter hear is winter season or snow fall God bless you
In the winter I do nothing with the bees as there is nothing flowering. But in a few more weeks when things begin blooming here I will be very busy. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace.

Does Christmas honey taste better than Labor Day, honey?
Of course it does, it has the joy of Christmas in it! Thanks for watching. God's peace Shawn.
Mr. Ed
Mr. Ed, do you rotate the extractor in both directions or just One direction or does it really matter?
Supposedly, using a radial extractor rotating the direction is not necessary, but I still do it every time. In my mind I want to get ALL the honey from the frame. @JeffHorchoff .
Mr Ed,
I enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing and educating.
How did the bees make out in the snow which so rarely walls in Louisian?
Hello mr Ed.
How many pound of wax capping do you add to your wax spinner per spin?
I could not tell the exact poundage, but generally I will get about 20 pounds of wet wax when the spinner stops. Thanks for watching. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
How were you able to stand in a swarm of bees??
It is not a "swarm," it is bees cleaning honey supers, and when they are doing that, they are not very likely to sting you. However, I would not suggest anyone to do what I love doing. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace.

I'm sure you have answered this many times and I just missed it but how many Hives do you have now and how much Honey do you roughly harvest in a year?
We have about 175 hives and from them we harvested about 450 gallons of honey this year.
