I honestly loved that the creators of this game were able to actually come up with some creative “shock & awe” elements in the campaign that really felt natural and un-forced, with the Olympus Mons laser-nuking the HQ building with the F-SPAR probably being one of my surprisingly favorite moments. People say this game ripped off Halo, and to a degree they’re right, but there’s still plenty of uniquely interesting and fun moments that really made this game memorable.
That's true but I feel that there's no real point for the SDF to attack the UNSA because the UNSA had far more leverage than them, not to mention that by going into the conflict would economically destroy the SDF
@@tadoshka5170 The SDF was already economically destroyed. It says in the lore that some Earth nations stopped trading with them recently and they took It as an attack on their soveignty. If they had of succeeded they would have had all the resources and manufacturing of the whole solar system.
I swear this games story was awesome. It only failed because it was connected to call of duty but if it was its own game and wasn’t associated with cod it would have gotten the love it deserved and even a sequel
I can forgive the mediocre characters and writing because I at least get the sense that the creators took what they were making seriously, a lot of the spectacle in this game is novel and awesome to experience, sound design and soundtrack especially. If they had fully committed to no sound in a space, instead favouring interior sound design, radio chatter and a haunting soundtrack to cover battle sequences in a vacuum and also had done some research on physics this would’ve been a truly fantastic sci fi game. On the physics front that means no getting sucked into space when there’s only a differential pressure of 14psi and no needing to keep firing jet boosters to move in space to keep momentum, and at least some acknowledgement of how recoil on exoatmospheric craft is managed. This game is beautiful and was hampered by the fact that it had to be a Call of Duty game. And before anyone says combat with no minimal sound feedback would be boring and alienate players, you are completely right but I just mean it would’ve taken genuine creativity and courage to make realistic space combat interesting.
Tbh, I would rather prefer they make a sequel of this. OG Modern Warfare is good because they made 3 games to expand the story. But then again, singleplayer focus is not enough to make COD profitable. It's hard to please COD players, myself included, they have to keep a balance between the campaign story and the multiplayer mechanics.
@@AFGuidesHD It also implies Kotch deep down, for all his bravado, is a coward who only attacks if he can win. Hence why Nick and his team were able to take him out of the equation, which would lead to SetDef's inevitable defeat.

Campaign didnt have much in terms of story. Pretty straight forward good guys fighting a fascist military. Would also say that the sdf did a good job as being antagonistic as they are pretty much the embodiment of fascism and militarism.
I have a really hard time believing that the Earth military is this usless. With all the technology shown in this game they couldn't lifesigns in a evacuated city...
I must question one part of this mission. They wanted the transponder to broadcast the all-clear signal, allowing the Mars Fleet in to die to AATIS. Why didn't they just frag Riah and open the door?
Samuel Bishop perhaps a few days? cause by the time they return to geneva, there are still fires. if it was a week at least then why are there still fires going? Im sure they could at least put out the fires, not to mention work to snuff out surviving sdf forces.
In one day, almost. Reyes mentiones this closer to the end by saying that it's been a "hell of a day". First attack on Earth happens on morning. Olympus Mons is captured next morning. The shipyard is destroyed shortly after. So, no more than 36 hrs
What a shame that because of a group of TH-camrs and Gamers this game would not continue because they felt offended if I was the owner of the company I would have followed the game had a lot of potential for a group of losers to come out with child tantrums to criticize this franchise , but the sad thing is that the tough faces who signed the petition to criticize and destroy this game now play it and even upload videos on TH-cam and talk about it, what tough faces they really are, they are sad
If you think about it there would've been an upside to this, they could've just used the Olympus as their new flagship and continued to disrupt sdf operations throughout the system but at the same time what they did was just as good. As destroying the shipyard would prevent the sdf from resupplying their ships
@@Ksr3740 except the enemy still had a large fleet at their disposal. He also had the Retribution join the attack, only to have the ship wreck, more of the crew killed, and several more would die trying to find a way back to Earth. Reyes said that "A captain must ensure his crew return home safe." Hypocritical decision, much?
@@mechasaurus That's what the game is about. Him learning that you don't always get your men home. It's q central concept of character development right through the game.
@@samuelbishop3316 Not every captain leads his troops into an angry banzai charge with 2 warships. I just saying that whole decision was needless, and that he could have won and still learned that lesson without further compromising Earth's defenses in a vengeful rush.
I don't think it would be a good idea, no communication from Salen and no Mons returning, they would suspect that something went wrong and it got destroyed so the final attack wouldn't been possible and surely the setDef would have attacked again
The environments and details are great but i really hate that the whole screen goes blurry whenever you get shot, so you literally can't get shot once without the whole screen going blurry and you miss half the shit going on in the scene
Can I just say it has side missions. It's pretty rare for call of duty to have side missions. Can we actually appreciate it? I would like to see more call of duty games have side missions. It kinda makes it feel different. I think it was one of the best moves they made

Felt more like Elysium than halo to me personally. And I am just fine with that.
And Halo ripped off other media. (Aka Doom) Thats the circle of art, its putting a creative twist on it that makes it yours.

So true.
probably the most satisfying things in call of duty, imagine you got to control the most powerful Ship in the entire solar system

Top 3 COD campaign
Sucks this game is so underrated cuz people were hating on it in 2016
People nowadays only living in the past with World War and Russian. RIP creativity for futuristic combat 👎
Because it’s rivals at that time is battlefield 1
@@yudishundomo3996 not to mention Infinite warfare was deemed too futuristic.
I like it but it doesn't really fit the call of duty franchise but advanced warfare was fire not to far but both are amazing

I don't care what other people think. I like this game.
To me this fight taking place with a Westminster Chime ringing from a nearby bell tower is one of the eeriest juxtapositions I have ever seen... 13:52

23:50 fighting is the same as attacking
nah, fighting implies that there's a struggle and both sides are fighting, he's saying he only attacks
Attacking would be getting the first blow and just ending it there , no fighting , just attack and destroy

Guys correct me if I’m wrong but IW’s campaign happens in a timeframe of a few hours?
I am not really sure personally. If you didn't do any side missions I could see it being true but in one day it doesn't make sense for everything.
