This absolutely blew my mind when I saw it, and super inspiring lol. I'm having trouble getting clarity how you do, is there anything you did that you saw made the most progress to build up to the level you're at today?
being hyperaware of the negatives. whether it be a bad start, a closed diddle, a missed shot, or whatever the case, i try to be 100% aware of my mistakes all the time, even if there’s no need to verbalize it. it may sound a little pessimistic, but that mentality just matches with my personality and the way i experience playing. i’ve been told to “feel more” when i play, but it just doesn’t work. i need the analytical side of my brain active every single practice session or else i won’t improve
@@gabrielrenner5512 That makes total sense yeah! thank you so much for responding. I asked my director what exercises would work specific skills, and improve specific things. He told me that it didn't necessarily matter, and that all I had to do was sit there and match sound quality between two hands. That just never worked for me, and I've been looking for another approach. This seems like it'll help a lot, so thank you so much.

You must have been inspired by Bryce Gardner at some of these sections
100%. hand shape and rudiments are all Bryce-like, and my velocity comes from Devin Garza.
Sheets? I'd love to learn this

I like the Mark Thurston signature lick throwback!
U just marched with phantom regiment
This is what happens when the top 5 corps don’t allow their snares to compete in I and E.
