Monaco, for all its faults, is the sole remaining vestige of glamor in F1 as opposed to vulgarian Las Vegas glitz. And most of those faults could be addressed with cars not quite so tank-like. The 'Ring, on the other hand, would be a deathtrap as an F1 venue -- Lauda in '76 all over again.
@@SirensOfWisconsin1679the Nordschleife is quite narrow and bendy. So except for the Döttinger Höhe and the GP Circuit there won't be any overtaking.

Nick Heidfeld drove it with a BMW-Sauber in 07/08/09 (one of those) with demo tires and I think did a 7m lap without pushing

I think it'd be more realistic if they used the full 24-hour circuit. In that case it would be a 12 lap race.

To me one of the many things that would prevent an F1 event at the Nordschlieffe is the amount of marshals and ambulance/first aid teams needed to cover the whole track to a suitable safety standard.
They already do that at every NLS event (and the Nürburgring 24)

@@Jacobmathews.Tire lose too much grip due to the condition, the extreme weather differents on track and alone due to the fact that the cars are too low. There is a reason why the nordschleife was last used in 1976

l dont think in real life a F1 car can take many of the corners that fast actually, in the game the grip seems way overpowered
? F1 cars are the grippyest cars known to man kind. Plus its the nordschleife, the porsche is slower than the 2018 - 2025 f1 cars but looked insanely fast, so ofc f1 cars even with the f1 cameras gonna look hella fast there. Did you saw trackside footage of f1, where they just fly past through corners. Most corners doesnt look sharp on tv but trackside you will see how sharp thouse corners are, the tv footage is just to good, i mean no it isnt, its good because you can see everything but it would only be to good if we could get the sence of speed right
Also something to note how bumpy the nords is, current F1 cars with ground effect would have not the greatest time there. There's also the human factor too of course, i remember either Timo Bernhard or a Porsche rep saying that what limits the 919 evo in the ring was the one between the engine and the steering wheel
Seems overpowered? That cornering speed seems normal to me for an F1 car.

You can't really compare the real Evo time with simulated formula. No driver fatigue etc, Jimmy did sub 5 minutes with the Evo in AC

It’s easy to see by the Spa comparison the Evo is still lacking hugely on certain corners and braking.
There’s a reason they did their lap at Spa :)…. Other than maybe at Monza it would be crushed still.

Even though my dynamic vision could not keep up at the Porsche 919 EVO and current F1 cars, I could realize that anyone who can lap the Nordschleife faster than these in a Red Bull X-Series or SRT Tomahawk in Gran Turismo is a quitting human being in a different way than an F1 driver.
The graphics and animation look really good.
The nurburgring would need to be wider and flatter, but it would be great after those upgrades.
Try to compare max vs. min wings on this track.
It's just impossible to a modern f1 car, the track is too bumpy - no even ferrari would cope with these conditions. The video game can't reproduce how harsh would be for the cars and drivers. And needed the slow zones system like in Le Mans

The race would have easily gone red flag several times, and btw, no DRS for the first two laps is a rule that still stands

If they're not catching air at Flugplatz and Schwedenkreuz what's the point? I'd love to see them back but they're too delicate. Group C type cars would be best.

He should drive. Taking it from the bottom to the leadership position, regardless of ideologies. If he drove like the rest of the circuits, he wouldn't even reach half the speed...😅

I wish there was a little track map so we could know where the car is on the track. Just a white representation of the layout with a little moving dot. Is that something that's easily done? Also, I need more top fuel dragsters! They raced at Monza... how about Talladega!
