Really what is the point of Green Lantern? Every time he comes up against an enemy it appears that they can break out of/destroy his constructs rather easily

The Green Lantern constructs are given more credit by the writers in Green Lantern comics. Along with choice comics. Like the Godzilla versus The Justice League comics.
He is basically DC's Juggernaut. Feared by all for his great power. Beaten by all despite his great power.

@@runifuceeme406 The writers have made it clear several times that Superman holds back his power to avoid hurting his opponents, your example is valid precisely because at first the hero of Metropolis tastes the opponent's strength and uses an appropriate one.
To understand the power of a hero you have to see his gallery of enemies, only Imperiex is more powerful than Galactus, Darkseid is what Thanos would like to become, Brainiac is an evolved Ultron, Doomsday is Hulk but not with a temporary power in relation to anger , he is a Hulk who when he evolves he does so definitively, the power and not only that, even the qualities of a hero who faces all this must necessarily be paramount
These comic companies are over doing with these hundred and one Doomsday copycat characters which all derived from HULK 😡
Word. Then there are even Hulk knock-offs with the Hulk name and look exactly like the Hulk, just different in color, e.g., Red Hulk, Weapon H, etc. Not sure if the comic companies and writers have been creatively challenged for the past 15 years or what.

Depends on the version. He’d probably murder Grey Hulk or Ultimate Hulk. Savage Hulk is a different story.
Keep in mind this is the same DC that has superman getting beat by batman...yet superman has KO'D gods and being above gods...it depends on the writer

@@eromanjr43 Yes, It was a wtf moment. The writers tried to make some type of nuclear energy blast kill Superman. It was almost like quota for comics. (we get to kill or beat up Superman 5 times each year).This started at DC in NYC 25 years ago and moving DC to Calif has made it worse. I don't know what the answer is...I am buying fewer comics and have written DC corporate.
Someone said in the comments that the appearance of this character is reminiscent of the first Doomsday story. True. And I'll say more, it seems like they used the same sketches to draw this guy. It's as if it were the same "actor" with a different costume. They put the little guy on his shoulder just to have something different in the story.
It seems like I'm *very* starved for Hulk content because I loved this issue.

It would've been interesting if they had a spiritual successor to this comic and used a different alien and had him act somewhat like Joe Fixit/Grey Hulk.

@@BannerIncredibleHulk Superman is so powerful, he usually is in a sort of passive mode, and he many times will allow some person to knock him around a bit just to get their measure, before kicking in. We know how he feels about killing, and how he is able to do it.

@@azyordanm it was a crossover where Batman was fighting the Hulk. Batman tossed a gas pellet down but Hulk inhaled before the gas got to him
So what did Batman do?
He kicked Hulk in the guy to make him inhale the gas and it knocked the Hulk out

And honestly, there was only one story that honored the character. "World War Hulk". The Hulk is only interesting if he is the strongest of all, whether physical, magic, strength or not, an entity of uncontrollable power. This is incredible! And fascinating. For example, the Japanese manga "One Punch Man" explores this magnificently. The day Marvel (today) realizes this, it will make billions and billions.
Pre Crisis Superman was unbeatable, and his feats were ridiculous to the degree that even hardcore Superman's fans stopped reading his stories. DC had to change its strategy and hired talented writer and artist John Byrne, who put strict limits on Superman's powers, like he could barely withstand a nuclear detonation, and couldn't breathe in outer space. This actually turned out to be a brilliant idea and Superman's sales went high again.
