As a Christopher Nolan fan and Inception especially, I hope your theory is correct. I just checked IMDb and there are in fact no character names for the roles the major actors will play, so it’s very intriguing. I think Elizabeth Debicki could turn out to be Cobb’s daughter Phillipa in your theory.
@@alasdairthomson7510 That's entirely possible to do, although I wonder how Michael Caine would react to being told he won't be acting in another ten years!
@@dannert Jackson isn't the only actor with multiple roles. The characters are either related somehow or are playing a part in the movie universe within the movie itself. Tarantino explained it in an interview a while back.
Hilarious, and extremely convincing. And if anyone could pull this off, it's Nolan. But here's the problem. Even Nolan couldn't pull this off. Inception spent almost 25% of its run time just explaining the rules of its world. And while fan theorists love the idea of a film resolving through set-up from a previous, and only tenuously connected, previous film, Nolan knows better. He would never just resolve a film by saying, "It was all a dream. remember Inception? This is part of that." Because despite its popularity, Nolan would never rely on fans remembering Inception. He didn't even rely on fans knowing the previous films of his Batman trilogy. Each film, for all their flaws, was meticulously constructed to be experienced without knowledge of the previous ones. Which brings us back to Inception. In order to integrate that film into this one, he'd have to re-explain all the rules of dream extraction and inception for those who'd never seen the previous film, while also explaining the new rules of time reversal. That would most likely require 50% of the film being exposition about the rules of its universe. Bottom line, you can't build a film a pay-off to a set-up from a separate film. That's only half a film. It's Deus ex Easter Egg. Nolan wouldn't do it.
That is really strange how they havn't revealed the names of any of the main characters in the movie, including Michael Caine who likely only has a more minor role.
Emma Thomas said on Total Film’s magazine that it isn’t a sequel to inception or story wise related to it. She said Tenet is ITS OWN THING. The only things that can be compared are the genre bending qualities and atmosphere of the films. I hope what she said is true because we need more originals not sequels or shared universes.
I'm pretty sure Christopher Nolan knows what he is doing with the money. He is well known and know everything about the movie business, i don't think he will get any bad deals.
To address the budget increase theory: 10 years of inflation. $160M in 2010 would inflate to $188M in 2020...AKA nearly the same budget of Tenet. Also...Inception was filmed only in 35mm and 65mm from what I understand....while Tenet is going farther in terms of using IMAX and 70mm film stock. Tenet also has apparently done a TON of international filming at crazy locations, and that plane crash isn't just any plane crash....I believe it is actually the largest plane on the planet or something crazy like that.
In the world of cinema, sequels are almost always a guarantee for profit and huge budgets get approved way easier. Let's say I am a movie study. Would I be willing to give Nolan such a huge budget on a new franchise (always high risk), or would I make sure to spend it on a sequel?
“I’d say [Tenet] is an in-law to Inception,” Washington said. “They’re related by marriage. They get together for Thanksgivings, family barbecues, like that kind of thing. Other than that, one lives in Europe, the other one lives in Compton.” I think you may be on to something here, maybe not a sequel but perhaps set in the same world

Conspiracy theory I just came up with: Cobbs wife wasn't crazy... she actually did escape to reality by killing herself... Cobb Is stuck in dream state and most of his team either accepted it as their reality and forgot the truth, or were just projections of Cobbs mind. That is why cobbs daughter was raised by his wife and actually has a French accent. Idk how else she could have a French accent if cobbs wife died when the girl was just 3 or 4 years old
Michael cane, the kids grandpa in Inception, confirmed a couple of years ago that every scene he appears in is in fact reality. The legendary ending in inception where they stop the scene to make the audience wonder if it was reality or a dream has in fact been confirmed by Michael Cane himself. Great theory though, but I strongly doubt it.
I like this theory. I've always believed Cobb was still dreaming at the end of Inception, as we don't see Mal's totem, the top, fall. Arthur tell's Ariadne that a totem has to be personal, "that way when you look at your totem, you know beyond a doubt that your not in someone else's dream". I think Cobb is being deceived by Mal's totem the entire time and is stuck in his own dream. Sure, Michael Caine says Christopher Nolan told him he was only in reality scenes, but I think that could be a misdirect in itself. Having these two movies connect together and having that answer would be pretty satisfying.
Ending scene of Tenet: -Washington and Pattison are in a govt facility after they saved the world like: "that was crazy, almost as crazy as that dream sharing program that got axed years ago." -Mysterious figure walks into the room like: "Oh it wasn't axed"....... The figure is revealed to be Leonardo DiCaprio aka Dom Cobb. The audience shits their pants. (excuse the lame dialogue but you get the idea lol. It would be insane)

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for the largely positive reaction to the video. A lot of the comments made are addressing similar things so I thought I'd respond to some of them here: Higher budget due to inflation: Ok fair enough, that's a good point no argument there. Nolan bought a real plane to crash into a real hangar: Also fair enough that's a good point no argument there. If it takes place a few decades further than Inception, Michael Caine would be 90-100, he is 87 in real life. Also using time manipulation to extend life isn't exactly out of the question. Phillipa speaks with a French accent and James doesn't. Maybe because she is the older child and was able to spend more time with her mother before she died. She also might live in Paris which is where we first meet Michael Caine in Inception. Robert Pattinson was shown after the Dark Knight not Inception in the trailer. There is a shot of him after both so that furthers my point if anything. A number of people have said the cast and crew have already said it's a sequel or at least in the same universe without providing evidence. I would genuinely love to know where you heard that from and if you're referring to the recent interview with Washington, he says they are "related by marriage" and goes on to use various metaphors about their connection or lack thereof without ever truly confirming Tenet's nature as an out and out sequel. On the other end of the spectrum are those who have cited the recent Total Film interview where Nolan and Emma Thomas say that Tenet has no relation to Inception or something of the sort. Only way I can respond to this was JJ Abrams denied that Benedict Cumberbatch was playing Khan and the Russos denied Endgame was the title for the fourth Avengers film. Just saying. Finally, there is a group of circus clowns saying Nolan has never and will never make sequels. I find it interesting how they just choose to forget about the Dark Knight trilogy so they can support their denial. And when I have had the rare occasion of someone saying that trilogy of films doesn't count as they are not Nolan's original ideas and an auteur direction of his caliber would never do sequels, I can only respond with evidence and logic. Scorsese's the Colour of Money is a sequel to the Hustler. Villenueve's Blade Runner 2049 is a sequel to Blade Runner. Wes Anderson's Hotel Chevelier was a short released as a prequel to the Darjeeling Limited. Edgar Wright has his Cornetto Trilogy, Fincher's Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was designed as a first film in an unfortunately cancelled trilogy. Pretty much all of Tarantino's films take place in the same universe. Sequels/ Spiritual sequels from Auteurs have existed for as long film itself. I'm sure Charlie Chaplin, Akira Kurosawa and Sergio Leone would attest to that if they were around. Oh yea and of course SPLIT, that's a film people have been mentioning in the comments. I could also drop the Godfather part 2 bomb but I think they've had enough for one day. None of these people ever made sequels until they did. You could easily say M. Night doesn't make sequels but that statement would be redundant following the release of Split and Glass. Please be so kind as to open your minds a little more. As for the rest of you lovely folks. Thank you once again for the support and I'm glad many of you enjoyed the video. Thank you for speaking with eloquence, reason and using evidence to support your differing views. I hope you are all safe during these harsh times and hope that you enjoy Tenet no matter what it turns out to be!

@@flickfanatics7948 your theory is so ridiculous and absurd...god damn I love it! I for sure got Inception vibes instantly from the trailer but I didn't even consider half the stuff you talk about in your vid. Like Leo's kids having prominent roles in Tenet. Awesome theory man...you just got a new subscriber!
Another connection between the two movies is that both the names "Tenet" and "Inception" mean "beginning" in their own way. And that doesn't happen with any of Nolan's other movies.
Regarding the cost, $160M in 2010 is around $195M today. Just 10M short of $205M. Also, I think a lot of people knew Matt Damon was in Interstellar because he was credited on IMDB even before the movie’s release
This video is like Inception an Idea that grows in your mind that defines who you are and now i am thinking more about it if the theory doesn't come true it may destroy me 😂
I’ve had the same theory ever since the title of the movie was announced. Tenet: “a principle or belief, especially one of the main principles of a religion or philosophy.”.... sounds very similar to that other one we’ve heard before: an idea. “ there's something you should know about me... about inception. An idea is like a virus, resilient, highly contagious. The smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you.”
Nolan always makes movies about ideas/principles/belief that can grow to define or destroy you. What's so great about The Joker in the dark knight is that his whole aim is to get bruce wayne to break his one principle, his one rule of never killing. Memento is about a guy with short term memory but has planted the false belief in himself that he is chasing the man that killed his wife and hasn't done so already. Batman begins being about fear, of course. Other examples like Bane in the dark knight rises also
As much as I love inception, I think that this being a sequel to it would ruin the ending, something that I feel Nolan wouldn’t do. That being said however, I think what he would do is make the ending of inception vague- say when someone asks “James” about his father he says “he left for a long time” and then if the person the asks if he ever came back, James just replies with a blank stare, which could be interpreted a myriad of ways. The only problem would be how to preserve the more outlandish inception theories, such as Cobb is dreaming the entire time and Mal is trying to wake him up, though if the fact that this was a sequel was true, I have no doubt Nolan would make enough grey area to preserve that.
The concert hall (Ukrainian Opera House in the movie) is called Linnahall, it is situated in Tallinn, Estonia. It's not functioning for many years now, waiting for very expensive renovation. So it was pretty cheap to rent for Nolan.
Actually, Tenet takes place completely in the tesseract from Interstellar, with Matthew Mcconaughey controlling time and everyone by tapping some books
You had me almost till the end. Then you said "bringing the near-unlimited time FOUND in Limbo" and I'm like, listen son. Limbo doesn't have infinite time. It doesn't take place in the Dark Dimension from Doctor Strange, which exists outside our definition of time; or the fifth dimension from Interstellar, where our definition of time is a physical dimension. Limbo, in all its entirety, takes place in one's mind, where, in comparison to normal reality, the brain activity is accelerated, which causes PERCIEVED time to be longer than actual time passed. You aren't changing time there, you are, just in your personal frames of references, experiencing more time within actual elapsed time. You could call it relative time, but I think "subjective" time better describes the gist of it, simply because you aren't doing anything to affect time for others, you're just perceiving it differently for yourself.
While I think your theories are interesting. I’ve watched countless hours of Nolan interviews and I just can’t imagine he’d do something like this. He’s often said that he’s never liked doing sequels for the sake of it. And I can’t imagine what gain either film would get from being related, besides satisfying super geeks like ourselves?? None of these theories are compelling enough to warrant connecting the 2 movies, at least in my opinion. It’s one of those ideas I feel he’d detest to be honest. It’s far more likely that they are related in a very subtle way ie. they could take place in the same world or universe; almost like a character from Inception could bump into a character from Tenet just walking down the street. Clever theories though!
Nolan was also the same man that said he wouldn't put a version of Robin in his Batman movies and then we all saw what happened at the end of Dark Knight Rises.
deomartinez77 Aside from his literal name, he had barely any resemblance to any of the Robins. He took up the mantle of Batman, not Robin, so Nolan didn’t lie. A small easter egg means nothing
MtheOP what would be the financial* benefit of making a closet sequel? If money was the reason they would be marketing it as THE SEQUEL TO INCEPTION....
Before Watching this Video: I was hyped for a Nolan Level Film. After Watching this Video: I am hyped for an Avengers Level Film. I'm pumped for this to be True 🤞.
I doubt they would do this because then they’d have to answer whether or not Dom is dreaming at the end. Would kinda ruin the theme of Inception. I know he addressed this, but it would make Inception much less impactful.
Bradfrad haven’t heard that but also haven’t ever looked into it, I like that tho, either way the Top is just a distraction and everyone got played waiting to see it fall 😂
Bradfrad I don’t know if the gun would be a good totem based on the rules established in the movie. I mean he could have shaved part of it off to a certain degree, but if he didn’t there are thousands of that pistol model in circulation around the world.
That is a really interesting theory. Now I’m even more hype to see this movie. The idea of a surprise character like in interstellar has me feeling like I have to see this opening night 😆
Btw I just wanna say something, I didn’t watch interstellar and I watched this video before that! So the Matt Damon cameo was a spoiler but I watched it interstellar this Friday and I just got sucked into the movie that I forgot everything about Matt a Damon’s cameo, and then when he did come it was the most unexpected thing, that’s why I love Christopher Nolan he’s an absolute genius and his movies just suck you into the story and blows you away! I wanna be a director when I’m grown up and Nolan will be a major influence to me as well as to many others!
@@ZaidMalol i think william's saying you should watch all these great movies as soon as possible, and the fact that you didn't see interstellar was weird because it's a really great movie and as a director you should learn from other directors' great works.
New interview 👀 Tenet is “an in-law to Inception“, a star of the forthcoming Christopher Nolan movie has revealed. John David Washington, who portrays the film’s secret agent protagonist, said the film is linked in some way to Nolan’s 2010 time-bending film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. “I’d say [Tenet] is an in-law to Inception,” Washington told Esquire in a new interview. “They’re related by marriage. They get together for Thanksgivings, family barbecues, like that kind of thing. Other than that, one lives in Europe, the other one lives in Compton.”
Saw that as well, great to see you bring in sources to support arguments, a lot of people in the comments haven't seemed to bother backing anything they say so thank you!
@@flickfanatics7948 Well, theories should always have a solid foundation i believe. I believe the main plot device will be time inversion using Maxwell's demon / entropy as shown by the equations written on a shooting range. We might also be dealing with multiple universes, the many worlds theory and quantum entanglement. I think the best we can hope for is that both films share the same universe and that there's a brief crossover... But I'm hoping for more of course
because time flows irregularly they are both parallel and sequels to each other, the end of inception/beginning of tenet being the starting point and moving counter our time through each reaching the beginning of inception and end of tenet which is also a parallel mid point
Many of Nolans films deal with different types of magic trick - vanishing, transportation & escape. Saving his own deceptive one for a movies release would be right on point. Would love it to be true.
1 - "Feels like Inception" So? Nolan loves doing high profile Summer blockbuster action. Tenet is a pretty natural step for him 2 - "Release at the start of a new decade" Just a coincidence. No argument here. 3 - "Similar font in Trailer" Means nothing. His team liked using it, it's pretty standard and looks good. No argument here. 4 - "Tenet shouldn't be 45 million dollars more" Why? Is Nolan not allowed to make a more expensive, bigger film? We haven't seen it yet, so it could probably have a shit ton of set pieces and sequences that are bigger than Inception's. They shot the film in a dozen different countries, so there's part of the answer. 5 - "Secretly casting other actors" This I can partially believe. It's your strongest argument. However, maybe Nolan decided to spend less on casting and more on bombastic set pieces and sequences. He bought a god damn 747 for that plane scene for pete's sake. So again, a more expensive film overall. 6 - "Michael Cane in both films" He's been in most Nolan films. He likes working with him. 7 - "Those two could be his kids" Could be. I could see this happening, but again, still only plausible. 8 - "Pattnison is shown after Inception" WRONG he's shown after they show the dark knight trilogy thing. Do your research ;) Overall, making a sequel to one of his other movies to cash in and milk it is NOT how Nolan operates, as he's always had a passion for new original stories. Making a sequel to Inception would be out of left field, and frankly I'd lose a tad bit respect for the man. But good video nonetheless. Who knows what will happen. If this turns out to be true, I'll come back here and eat my words lol.
Amazing points of rebuttal. Pattinson is shown after both (I edited the video mate, I've seen the trailer upwards of 80 times haha) And yea I'd agree it's not Nolan's style to make sequels, the budget used on the real plane definitely bumps things up. Just penny for your thoughts but thank you for your detailed points and kind words of conclusion. I always appreciate healthy disagreements, they get more and more rare these days my friend :)
@@joaosantos5503 Not at all. Besides you're points and delivery are more genuine than most and I'd take that over perfectly polite any day of the week :)
@@flickfanatics7948 Btw what do you think of John David Washington in the lead role? I'm not that big of a fan, since he always seems to play himself, and from the trailers I've seen he seems rather monotonous. Inception to me was great also due to its emotional side and the characters' journeys. Cobbs reunion with his kids definitely tugged at the heartstrings a bit. I'm worried tenet may forgo stuff like that.
@@joaosantos5503 I think if Nolan made Harry Styles convincing he can do close to anything as a director of actors but I've also felt that Nolan has always been the biggest star of his films with the actors serving the story and no necessarily popping. The only time this wasn't the case was Heath Ledger I think :)
This is an amazing theory, I love the attention to detail and the overarching additional complexity this would bring to Inception, a movie part of my Top 5 of all time. That being said, I think this is way too ambitious to be real. Disappointingly enough, I believe the links we can see between Inception and Tenet are just some very Nolan-esque characteristics which you can find in every movie of his. Nonetheless, if you're right, you should be winning the lottery right about the next day.
When you’re a director who makes a movie and then watches a TH-cam video about that movie and you think can I just recut my movie because this idea is great🤔
I like your theory and reasoning but I imagine that if there was a tie in it would be very small. Similar to how split had that small cameo of Bruce Willis at the end. Maybe he will do a full on combination film later.
I'd see that movie hahaha great theory! The one problem I find in it is that I don't believe Nolan would risk ruining the ending of Inception just to make a sequel, the ambiguous nature of it is what kept the conversation going for a decade, if you give it an answer you kill it.
I think also the biggest clues would be in the score itself. Hans Zimmer and Chris Nolan make every bpm, every crescendo and decrescendo, every instrument wildly intentional (as understand in literally all of Zimmer's interviews). Has anyone listed to the complete score of TENET yet and found any homage to the Inception score? (music nerds, DEPLOY!! solve this mystery!)

You underestimate the power of CGI.
It wouldn't surprise me if all of Christopher Nolan's movies are all in the same universe.
All of Quentin Tarantino's movies are.
so there are multiple Samuel L. Jackson in that universe? Seems amazing
Helge no, Sam Jackson is a god pretending to be different people
@@dannert Jackson isn't the only actor with multiple roles. The characters are either related somehow or are playing a part in the movie universe within the movie itself. Tarantino explained it in an interview a while back.
@@IIONNICC I just used him as an example.
@@dannertI think it's fine. Tarantino makes great and very unique movies.
I REALLY hope this is true. Rock solid argument, Panwa.

65 and 70 is the same thing
In the world of cinema, sequels are almost always a guarantee for profit and huge budgets get approved way easier.

Conspiracy theory I just came up with:
Cobbs wife wasn't crazy... she actually did escape to reality by killing herself... Cobb Is stuck in dream state and most of his team either accepted it as their reality and forgot the truth, or were just projections of Cobbs mind. That is why cobbs daughter was raised by his wife and actually has a French accent. Idk how else she could have a French accent if cobbs wife died when the girl was just 3 or 4 years old
I like your thinking
The top, wobbly or not, has no bearing on whether Cobb was dreaming or not. It's not his totem. His is his wedding ring.
Ending scene of Tenet:
-Washington and Pattison are in a govt facility after they saved the world like: "that was crazy, almost as crazy as that dream sharing program that got axed years ago."
-Mysterious figure walks into the room like: "Oh it wasn't axed"....... The figure is revealed to be Leonardo DiCaprio aka Dom Cobb.
The audience shits their pants.

Knowing Nolan he probably wouldn't do it

Shamalamananaman's was not good.
Hey everyone! Thank you so much for the largely positive reaction to the video. A lot of the comments made are addressing similar things so I thought I'd respond to some of them here:
Higher budget due to inflation: Ok fair enough, that's a good point no argument there.

This video is like Inception an Idea that grows in your mind that defines who you are and now i am thinking more about it if the theory doesn't come true it may destroy me 😂
Hahahah! Best hope it comes true then :)
Awesome
I’ve had the same theory ever since the title of the movie was announced. Tenet: “a principle or belief, especially one of the main principles of a religion or philosophy.”.... sounds very similar to that other one we’ve heard before: an idea. “ there's something you should know about me... about inception. An idea is like a virus, resilient, highly contagious. The smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you.”
Love that, especially the how Nolan fans are just over-analyzing everything cus we love his films that much :)
How come no one is talking about the fact that the time stuff is called 'INVERSION'. (Inversion. Inception.)
Other examples like Bane in the dark knight rises also
This might be the only film theory that's convinced me
Very bold and respectable swing and miss
If you're right, this will have been the most insightful incredible prediction I've ever seen on TH-cam.
Damn.....you make an excellent point!
The concert hall (Ukrainian Opera House in the movie) is called Linnahall, it is situated in Tallinn, Estonia. It's not functioning for many years now, waiting for very expensive renovation. So it was pretty cheap to rent for Nolan.
I see! That's actually a brilliant piece of info thanks :)

Its going to the freakin plane he wants to crash 😂
With no survivahs!
Actually, Tenet takes place completely in the tesseract from Interstellar, with Matthew Mcconaughey controlling time and everyone by tapping some books
Imagine reversing time within a dream... within a dream...
It would be more realistic than reversing time in real life, actually.
You could call it relative time, but I think "subjective" time better describes the gist of it, simply because you aren't doing anything to affect time for others, you're just perceiving it differently for yourself.
and this is why you cant hook up grills
My thoughts exaclty
But the data processed is so massive.... That we can almost evolve into something else in Limbo.
Its been hours since ive seen your video and I can’t think of anything else. Im gonna be really sad now if this isn’t an inception sequel
Jeez I'm glad it had such an effect :)
Thanks! I too would also just love a standalone film :)
Maybe money is the reason for a sequal... You can't know for sure
Nolan was also the same man that said he wouldn't put a version of Robin in his Batman movies and then we all saw what happened at the end of Dark Knight Rises.
deomartinez77
Aside from his literal name, he had barely any resemblance to any of the Robins. He took up the mantle of Batman, not Robin, so Nolan didn’t lie. A small easter egg means nothing

New interview 👀
Tenet is “an in-law to Inception“, a star of the forthcoming Christopher Nolan movie has revealed.
Your analysis gave me goosebumps. I wish this comes true..
Something to consider is that the two main characters of Tenet work for Cobol Engineering. It's possible they are hunting down Cobb and his team.
because time flows irregularly they are both parallel and sequels to each other, the end of inception/beginning of tenet being the starting point and moving counter our time through each reaching the beginning of inception and end of tenet which is also a parallel mid point

I love both don’t care if they are connected or not. My personal favorites from Nolan
Same
I really loved Tenet..... I also wish it was an Inception sequel though.... but I’m happy with what we got 😅
This is actually a pretty backed up, solid prediction
1 - "Feels like Inception"
So? Nolan loves doing high profile Summer blockbuster action. Tenet is a pretty natural step for him
2 - "Release at the start of a new decade"
Just a coincidence. No argument here.
3 - "Similar font in Trailer"
Means nothing. His team liked using it, it's pretty standard and looks good. No argument here.
4 - "Tenet shouldn't be 45 million dollars more"
Why? Is Nolan not allowed to make a more expensive, bigger film? We haven't seen it yet, so it could probably have a shit ton of set pieces and sequences that are bigger than Inception's. They shot the film in a dozen different countries, so there's part of the answer.
5 - "Secretly casting other actors"
This I can partially believe. It's your strongest argument.
However, maybe Nolan decided to spend less on casting and more on bombastic set pieces and sequences. He bought a god damn 747 for that plane scene for pete's sake. So again, a more expensive film overall.
6 - "Michael Cane in both films"
He's been in most Nolan films. He likes working with him.
7 - "Those two could be his kids"
Could be. I could see this happening, but again, still only plausible.
8 - "Pattnison is shown after Inception"
WRONG he's shown after they show the dark knight trilogy thing. Do your research ;)
Overall, making a sequel to one of his other movies to cash in and milk it is NOT how Nolan operates, as he's always had a passion for new original stories.

165m in 2010 is 196m in 2020, so it costs almost the same.
Let this be a lesson in how easily we can convince ourselves of stuff that is not even remotely there.
Nolan himself said tenet has way more set pieces than inception.
Could be all of Tenet is just just someone's inception dream.
So they can get in someone's head, but now can reverse time in the dream.
This has aged like fine wine hasn’t it?
This theory was more interesting to me personally than the actual movie. You had SO much convincing evidence, man.
Ooooh, an Inceptionverse trilogy, now that would be something!
Inception is definitely one of those movies that deserves it's own universe. That movie is such a masterpiece!
I'd see that movie hahaha great theory! The one problem I find in it is that I don't believe Nolan would risk ruining the ending of Inception just to make a sequel, the ambiguous nature of it is what kept the conversation going for a decade, if you give it an answer you kill it.
Yep agreed. That's the one big downside :)
Or it could be an anthology of the same world , not necessarily a prequel
But maybe the ending is there to build some continuity? I know it's not nolan style but who can say no right?
Easy, dude. Nolan will not make it obvious. It will be a sequel but it won't be rubbed in your face. The links will be yours to connect.
Really couldn’t have been more wrong here
😂
I think also the biggest clues would be in the score itself. Hans Zimmer and Chris Nolan make every bpm, every crescendo and decrescendo, every instrument wildly intentional (as understand in literally all of Zimmer's interviews). Has anyone listed to the complete score of TENET yet and found any homage to the Inception score? (music nerds, DEPLOY!! solve this mystery!)
I DID IT! YOUR COMMENTARY CAUSED ME TO WAKE UP WITH THE ANSWER!!!
I’ve always had this ability to rewind my dream if I die and replay it and find another way to do it where I don’t die... that’s what this guy did at the train!!! He’s a very special lucid dreamer!!!!!
Isn’t the budget actually $225,000,000
According to Wikipedia it's 205 but I do also remember hearing that it was 225. I guess the more expensive, the more it plays into my ideas haha :)
@@flickfanatics7948A big budget is by far the best argument. Even after the success of Interstellar, Dunkirk only got a $100 million budget.
In the world of cinema, sequels are almost always a guarantee for profit and huge budgets get approved way easier.
Let's say I am a movie study. Would I be willing to give Nolan such a huge budget on a new franchise (always high risk), or would I make sure to spend it on a sequel?
It would be awesome if it was a sequel and Leos character was pulled back in.
what if Kenneth and John are fighting each other in limbo and then John dies in the dream by getting run over by a train just as Dom Cobb and his wife and comes back to reality in that scene in which that guy says "welcome to the after-life"!!?
There are new rumors surfacing that Nolan is making an Inception spin off, so he may be interested in building some sort of cinematic universe
@Anthony Okeiyi we got this covered
