  • Join Steven Boeynaems on his quest on the microscopic level to unmask the behaving and misbehaving proteins causing ALS and discover what makes them behave the way they do.
When molecular biology and bioengineering come together…well then Steven Boeynaems, scientist at VIB-KULeuven, is their love-child. Thankfully he uses his knowledge for the good of society by trying to unravel the molecular underpinnings of ALS. By approaching it from a completely different angle, his aim is to provide new insights into the working mechanisms of this terrible disease.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Thanks for the video. It looks so much less complicated now. And also it shows that you are near some solutions.

This is great. I was curious after I couldn't find the specific pathophysiology behind ALS...protein traffic jams! I'm beginning to get my head around it. Maybe. Thank you!

      This person _yedukondalu RAO_
seems to be a fraud of some sort. He/she/it has posted comments in many ALS videos, claiming to have found the root cause, a cure, etc. But there seems to be very little that he/she/it has provided in the form of verifiable evidence.
