Pakistan urges talks with India to end crisis, avoid miscalculation

- Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan called on Feb. 27 for talks with India and hoped "better sense" would prevail so that both sides could de-escalate.
"History tells us that wars are full of miscalculation," Khan said during a brief televised broadcast to the nation. "We should sit down and talk."
Khan confirmed Pakistan carried out air strikes and shot down two Indian jets on Wednesday, a day after Indian warplanes struck inside Pakistan for the first time since a war in 1971, prompting several world powers to urge both sides to show restraint.
Both countries have ordered air strikes over the last two days, the first time in history that two nuclear-armed powers have done so, while ground forces have exchanged fire in more than a dozen locations.
Tension has been elevated since a suicide car bombing by Pakistan-based militants in Indian-controlled Kashmir killed at least 40 Indian paramilitary police on Feb. 14, but the risk of conflict rose dramatically on Feb. 26 when India launched an air strike on what it said was a militant training base.

Damn right this is the only chance we can get to make peace between Pakistan and India I guarantee you there will not be another man fighting for peace and justice
First of all, he is bluffing as there was continuous violation on LoC and India can't forget Pulwama but the tensions will lessen now as India have provided a dossier and Pak has agreed to leave our wing commander tomorrow. So, yes India did what it has to do by bombing the terrorists camps and India didn't target the civilians and in return Pak hasn't caused any casualties in their retaliation yet so, peace might prevail now.
All I'm saying m8 is he's taking all the curropt out better the economy and eventually weed out this terrorist issue listen it ain't gonna happen overnight it will take time. Suicide bombers have declined by a significant rate as compared to 2010-2013 at the time there were reports of 200-300 bombings every year the country was a mess, people were scared to visit Pakistan even the locals didn't have any idea if i went to work today will i ever return home safely, thanks to Pakistan army have cleaned up our mess.

Pakistan offered peace talks and crossed LoC showing double standards. Targeting military installations in Kashmir is a huge mistake and it is an act of war further escalating situations. What India done is pre-emptive strike in PoK destroying large JeM camp in Balakot. India did not attack pakistan. India fight is with terrorism not with Pakistan. Pakistan failed to act against terrorism. India had done the same thing as USA killed Bin Laden in Abottabad.

Mr Khan, I give you a Thumb Up. I am not an Indian nor Pakistani, I don't live in that region but I don't want to see war in any part of the world. Pakistani Government get along with China very well but still Chinese embassy in Pakistan got attacked recently. Why Indian Government cannot see that? There's a group of extremist that has got nothing to do with the Pakistani Government.
While I fully respect and appreciate Imran Khan and hope that peace will prevail. The general sentiment from the neighboring country is that they think that Imran talking about peace shows Pakistan's weakness. At a certain point when your enemy keeps on talking war war and war, you can continue talking about peace, you have to strike back at the enemy, teach them some manners and then they will start talking about peace.
