    I want to say thank you. Years and years ago you were very nice to me as stupid kid coming into Honda Auto Salvage. Started a love for cars for me.

    I'll say one thing about the "GodsNOW" exhaust: it's a fantastic price for a EG 3" stainless (~$160 catback). I've used 3 but of course removed the rear muffler for something that sounds better. I also re-angle the curve over the rear LCA to clear an ITR sway bar.

    Pretty slick how you guys engineered a lot of this stuff. Turned out really well. Interested in seeing how it performs.

    Ive always wondered why no one ever went with this motor. Seems perfect for a budget 300whp build

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The engine is, it does not bolt any transmission other than the RDX transmission. But that didn’t stop us from using that head on another K series block

    • @Elver_Galarga_jugo
      @Elver_Galarga_jugo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VTECAcademy oh that makes all the sense. That explains why it's on a K20 block. So does the head have VTEC like a K20A2 or like an A3?

    Im so glad to see this video, I was wondering what to do about the exhaust downpipe, the donut is a great idea. The dual wastegate vacuum lines, how did you determine what lines to use and is there a schematic somewhere I could reference? The stock lines are so confusing, I’d like to simplify it all and make it look nice and clean.

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @estewar03
    @estewar03 ปีที่แล้ว

    This was great. Really enjoy watching all your builds/episodes. What are your thoughts on a B18C as a replacement engine on a '98 CRV? I've got an RSX type-s swap for my EF & my friend just basically gave me a clean title AWD manual CRV that needs an engine or at least head gasket. I figure if I K swap my EF I will have the spare fresh from HMO B18C laying around & would still be able to sell off the B EF mounts, transmission & linkage etc separately.
    Is it worth the time? Would the B18C even be enough for the CRV being so low on torque? OR would you suggest parting out the CRV so the AWD guys can do their thing & keep or sell the B18C set up?

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would look for a VTEC head for the CRV and just do that. Save the B18C for some other project, or sell it to pay for your current stuff.

    I've seen a few of your videos couldn't you use a drive-by-wire throttle body sure your ECU that you plan on using probably has the option built into it and that might solve your clearance issue

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not that simple. And the ECU we have a not compatible with that.

    What brand "tucked" radiator is that?

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      K-Tuned is the half radiator. The tucked one is a generic Scirocco race radiator from eBay.

    Why does the fuel injection manifold have to be so big?, imagine the room you’d have if it weren’t..

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Small manifolds don't flow air efficiently.

      Bro get lost, one-off projects and whatnot usually dont make any money by the time they get finished. Look at what happened to Lexus when the made the LFA. Its a fantastic car, but as a company they lost their ass!
      Just be happy these dudes do anything for our entertainment. You sound like you just learned you can breathe out your nose last week. 🙄
