I absolutely love this game and have played it extensively for the past 20 years. I've watched 20 minutes of this video and I feel like we're playing two completely different games lmao. Nice man
You beat the whole game in 3 hours and here I am beating the “300,000 Points without falling” mission on Peak 3 at roughly the same time. Amazing Tricks and Run!
Very nice video. thanks to you to share this moment. SSX3 is 20 yo and i still love it. I m pretty bad but i love the world inside it. And as always i laugh a lot when near 2:20:00 there is the knock session. I hope you and daggy keep doing vids.
We had it good during this PS2/Gamecube/Xbox era. NBA Street games, Def Jam Fight for New York, playing GBA games on our Gamecube Gameboy Player, every Zelda up to Twilight Princess able to be played on 1 console officially, Metroid Prime, etc etc
@teguh.hofstee my favorite is always a tossup between tricky and 3... right now, I would say 3. first game: laying the groundwork for the series, fun to speedrun once you learn how to work around some of the engine's silliness, great music tricky: vastly more refined version of the first, ubertricks, attitude, character interactions & voice lines, good music (also my introduction to the series) 3: the SSX formula at its best, a continuous mountain, extremely appealing snow visuals, and lots of subtle ways to improve your riding (movement tech, I guess?), and great music on tour: sense of speed, good music blur: the fact that i've never played it xddd 2012: completely unique take on the franchise and realistic mountains (the bottomless pits that come from this kind of ruin it, but this approach to track design is one of the biggest reasons 2012 is so unique)
@@kelecat7094 I’ve started playing tricky for the first time after putting probably hundreds if not thousands of hours into 3 (and the first game) as a kid and seeing how packed merqury city meltdown is with shortcuts and easter eggs, as well as a lot of the tighter execution shortcuts in elysium alps and aloha ice jam, has really stuck out to me as something I feel like those games did in a way that I didn’t feel as obviously in 3. I still really love 3 for the continuous mountain and the career mode that made me feel like I was really a part of the mountain instead of something more like an arcade cabinet.
@chasemccurry7397 it's just an oversight in the challenge structure, it just wants an indy 360 as soon as the challenge starts, which means you can do it anywhere as long as you don't hit the fail trigger further down the track
@KrisVickers-wn6dd Credits are accessible in the main menu, under the "Options" submenu you get to Options with Y on Gamecube, and it's similarly easy on the other versions since reaching the credits doesn't involve truly PLAYING the game, we made the "All Mountain" section of the Transport menu our end screen for speedruns like this
we don't know of any speedrunning differences for ssx3 specifically. thankfully, EA did a good job of converting everything. I guess the one catch is that the framerate would be 50 fps instead of 60 fps?
this speedrun with timestamps is the closest thing i can find to a 100% guide for SSX3. thanks for uploading
GL!
So much respect for keeping this game somewhat alive an absolute masterpiece this new generation will never experience

wild to see how massive a leap this is compared to the last one, this category is nuts
SSX on tour is much diffrent and really fun

Bro, you're crazy good at this game, not an understatement.
This game still holds up today as a great game. I love this game so much 😂
I think I commented the other day I could watch you run SSX for hours. I feel seen.
Grats on a great run!

Her: I wonder what he’s doing rn:
Me: kelecat 3 hr vid
Just curious, which SSX game is your favorite, and what are your favorite things about each of the games?
@teguh.hofstee my favorite is always a tossup between tricky and 3... right now, I would say 3.
first game: laying the groundwork for the series, fun to speedrun once you learn how to work around some of the engine's silliness, great music

Seeing this as someone, who only played SSX 1 on PS2, its pretty damn confusing to me 😂
11:19 what happened here? is this a bug where you can do the trick outside of the area?

how do you get credits screen?

Does it matter if you speedrun on gamecube vs ps2? Im in europe but im about to get into the emulation side of things so i can do ntsc speedrunning

59:40 I always panic whenever I see this
You know what I mean 😅
is there no platinum medals for the peak races? is gold really the highest you can get? ive looked everywhere online and cant find anything
Great question. What’s your peak 1 PB?
@@TJsVlog_ If its correct, top time is 13:21
@@Lyvola420 I’m pretty sure 13:21 is a computer generated time
My peak 1 time is 9:52 but I’m nowhere close to this skill
9:52 still a gold medal
@@TJsVlog_ I do run it on Pcsx2, I'll try a couple runs in the next few days and come back to this lol😁
