achieved on may 17th (wow)
the head bounce at 0:52 can be done by finishing any uber trick around the time your head would hit the ground, without pressing any buttons to interrupt the trick early. it's clean as far as the rules are concerned, and honestly it's not really known if it's better or worse than landing normally.
i've got a few videos still waiting to be published, as well as a current project of beating my APR clean time with a better video (that is really hard, still haven't gotten better than 17:14). i may or may not also have something big in the works... no promises xddd

achieved on february 18th, 2023 (what was i doing holding on to this footage for so long) faster than the previously fastest time by .07 seconds , and faster than the fastest proven time by 0.15 seconds! uses a new strat discovered by i don't remember, and explored by myself and @Juliaqt ! it can save more than this makes it look like, but it's inconsistent and the nature of the glitched finish...

How the hell do you get that kind of rotation speed?
@charc0al_tv prewind tricks for a couple seconds before taking off. play as mac/kaori/jp/seeiah, do not flip in switch stance.

7:00, was this a mistake or a technique to skip ahead? Also, what is that teleport at 15:06?
7:00 is a technique to skip ahead - you just need to reach the edge of that rock and reset to save time. sometimes you'll wipeout, sometimes you won't... it works either way 15:06 is an easter egg in Metro City only that instantaneously teleports you to set locations - there are three of them in the map, and all of them combined can save over 20 seconds versus the next best route!
My favorite is Song for Dot for Tokyo Megaplex
this speedrun with timestamps is the closest thing i can find to a 100% guide for SSX3. thanks for uploading

An SSX Tricky video? IN 2024??? Nothing short of awesome. I recently remembered this game out of the blue and decided to emulate it. It took me a while to find the right file for it, but I got it running eventually. Playing it flooded me with nostalgia, remembering how as a very young kid this was one of my favorite NGC games to play. And now, seeing speedruns, TAS showcases, even this video published in 2024... It brings me an inexplicable joy and warmth in my heart. The fact that there's still a community that plays this game that's 2 years older than ME puts a smile on my face. I know this may sound awkward, but thank you and the rest of the SSX Tricky community for putting in all this time. Also you shredded this course, keep it up! ♥

Im willing to accept the fact this game will be riddled with micro transactions if given a remaster due to being an EA title. Just give me the remaster. I honestly think they can go ham with the cosmetics.
So did you play this or does TAS just mean you programmed a robot to play it?
@NorthWestPvPlolrektnoob I played this, but with assistance. I can redo every section as many times as I want or slow down the game for each try until I get the outcome I want, one after another until i get a "best take". The emulator remembers all of my best takes, and can play them back as a sequence of controller inputs, basically "replaying" the best possible run! hopefully that made everything clear

@@EchoMacahig-q9b if u mean the warp back to that spot, that's unfortunately a very finicky trick that's not understood well - but generally, trying to land as far to the right as possible on that 5x (from where I'm jumping in this video) should give that warp since it's *slightly* earlier in the track than landing to the left

Great run! I noticed that at 1:37 and 1:54 you do not clear the jump but hit the ground. Is that intentional or can it be improved to save time, if possible?
@paolobarzon99 1:37 the jumping is to avoid the ground for a specific stretch that would be slower, then hitting the ground again is so that I have better control in the next section. the landing slows me down just a little, which is important for the right turn that leads to the next rail. 1:54 is supposed to be the same thing, but it doesn't feel very ideal. the alternative is being stuck on the ground for a while, and im not sure how I can approach this bit in a better way. it just doesn't have a lot of good options. however I do time it so that, just like 1:37, I get control of the character again for the next part (note the turning I do after landing) maybe the ideal thing to do would be to delay the jump so that I could clear that ledge?
