Your 100% correct! The noise is unbearable. Here in Cali we run the highways and the coast. Looks awesome but it’s way to loud inside! Don’t even use it anymore. Waste of money!
Right?!!! I truly love this helmet but it is just loud on the open road and at speeds. It looks great, but I only use it from time to time. Now if it is within your budget you should check out HEDON helmets. They are pricey, but quiet ....well quieter than the bullitt and they look beautiful. Let me know if you want more info on the HEDON and I can send you some info. Thanks again for the comment!
@@Pingon21I ride a 2014 SG, anything over 65-70mph on the frwy, is horrible. Cant really tuck my head down on that. Most people I’ve talked to about this helmet have bought another one due to the noise. Sure looks nice tho. It’s become a decorative helmet in my man cave! I
As a fellow New Yorker, welcome to TH-cam! Fair and honest review Mel. Love the styling que of that helmet but not my favorite. I do own one as a Dec Acc piece.
Oh wow! Thanks for the greetings! Yeah I literally just started in the first week of July. And it means ALOT coming from you! I hope to be as popular as you one day! Yeah...I agree with your views with the Bullitt. Nice looking but not my main helmet. It was great when I first started riding, but my Arai is my primary. Thank you THANK YOU for reaching out.
First time I’m seeing one of your videos and I think you did good work. I appreciate your sense of humor, but I think you are NUTS for riding with a helmet that makes you feel funny! (FTR, I tried to make the Bullitt work for me not one but twice. They apparently adjusted the fit to make it more oval than round a year or two ago, but the redesign still didn’t work for me. It put so much pressure on my temples that it made me dizzy & nauseous.) If it matters, I have a ‘33 Thruxton RS and my summer helmet is a Bell Moto 3 and my winter lid is an AGV K6.
Dude .... THANK YOU SO MUCH for the comments and input. Yeah the Bullitt is not as comfortable as my Arai's, but I still wear it from time to time. I am an intermediate oval ... but it still works but does not cause pain. I always thought it was round oval ... do you mean intermediate oval? One helmet that is bad ass is the Hedon ... but expensive. On the bright side it is very comfortable and quiet. Also ... Arai is coming out with the Retro Rapide or in the US markets the Concept-X. I have not worn one yet, but once I do I will post a video. Wait ... 1933 Thruxton?!!!! Freaking amazing!!!! And that with a Moto-3 is awesome look! I am not a fan of the new Moto-9. My main helmet almost year round is the Arai Defiant and Defiant-X.
It’s a great helmet if you are willing to customize it. I sealed the edges of the helmet and bought the NOJ Quiet Rider skirt and I wear a Kynsho scarf. It’s much better a highway speeds now!
GEORGE!!!!! What a great solve for such a perfect retro looking helmet! Did you see the plug I did for KYNSHO scarf on my winter gloves video? Hey all this guys stuff is AMAZING! Check it out! It completes that retro look.
Thanks for checking out the review. So I have ridden in rain with it and did not notice any rain getting in. Granted it was a 30 min right in NYC streets so I was not really building any high speeds which could force rain to get into the air vents. If it is raining and I can wear a different helmet, I usually go with my Arai and closing the vents.
Man ... that means alot thank you sir. So the Gringo is a great helmet if you are doing short rides in urban areas. The eps foam is not going to be as thick as a Bell Bullitt and so it has a smaller profile. So pros vs bell Bullitt ... cheaper ... smaller profile Cons ... no air flow control, less eps foam. So there are 3 Gringos out there ... Gringo, Gringo S and Gringo SV. Gringo standard has no eye protection, so you would still have to buy it, Gringo S has a visor and Gringo SV has a visor and some airflow choices. When all said and done it depends on what, where and how you plan to ride. Gringo is great for low speed riding, but at higher speeds it is loud wind noise wise. I hope this helps and thank you again for checking out the channel sir!
thanks dude appreciate the input, keep going man, we desperately need someone unbiased reviewing moto gear, all that seems to exist is Revzilla/cyclegear and they are just add spots showing off gear, not really looking at the pros and cons of gear. @@caferacernewyorkcity
Yeah pare ... I think so. Although there are not any really large airvents in the helmets ... the wide eyeport makes air intake amazing. If it gets to hot you can remove the visor and use goggles!

I used it on highway without problem. There’re a tips for the loud. All depends of your position of rider.
Wow ... that is a GREAT point! If you are in full tuck or have a windscreen that should help the sound issue. @@Pingon21

good to see this video before buying one. any other suggestion aside from the pricey Hedon as an alternative for the Bullit? Thanks

Hi, entertaining review, thanks! What about driving rainy conditions in regard to the ventilation holes above the visor?

Ece 22.05 is pretty dissapointing given the proce point. Bell should really update the Bullit.
Yeah I agree, but I think it would require a big design change. I guess they really want to focus on the urban rider. Lets keep our fingers crossed!
I just got this helmet after years of riding with a legal skull cap.
Nice! How are you enjoying it so far and what do you ride?
I thought this was good, keep it up dude. I'd be curious to hear what you think about the Biltwell Gringo helmets

The skinny chin guard makes me nervous, doesn’t give you much coverage. The Biltwell Gringo ECE has a higher guard, seems safer.
I would have to agree. I think the biggest positive for the thinner/skinny chin guard is a wider field of vision.
Is it recommended here in Philippines? It looks hot inside
