Please make a playlist for every climate, starting with this, then a video about setting up camp, then finding water, then finding food, and then any additional tips for that environment. I would watch the frick out of every one.
I am so happy and grateful for finding your TH-cam channel. You always do an amazing job at teaching basic survival things. I think this is my new favourite YT channel.
Bringing a hat in the desert would be a must. Where I live, the summer's are very hot. Last summer it got to 111!! Just multiple days straight of triple digits.
I love your videos and enjoy watching yours and learning new things I decided to start knapping after watching you and it’s been an adventure keep posting and keep up the positive vibes my friend I’ll see ya out there😉😉😉
Hi Donny Very enjoyable atmosphere in this desert ! I'd be curious to see your desert camp set up and foraged food if you have time to make another video. Thank you Donny for all the inspiration. Thomas
To second the comment, would love to see a playlist for each climate! Also, where does one find an alpaca poncho or blanket? I have an alpaca scarf and love it!
You just brought some things to mind... I was collecting blackberries and my Wolf Dog saw me doing it and she started foraging for them for herself. I was collecting acorns and my Pit saw me and she started foraging for them and eating them. 😄 Does your dog do that, too?
Hi Donny, I know you use an alpaca poncho quite a bit, would this still be a viable option in wetter environments or would you recommend something else? I’ve been looking at army ponchos (waterproof) but in an ideal world, a good all-rounder I can use for most environments/climates would be better. Travel light and all that. Cheers!!
I have dog questions. Do you leave your dog at home on desert trips like this where you're worried about not finding enough water? And when you kill and cook game do you let the dog eat the carcass, bones included?
Do you ever make containers sourced from your environment? I tried burning a bowl from a log. I had some minor success, but mostly learned what not to do next time
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks that would be an awesome compilation video. The skull is really out of the box. I can't imagine that would ever occur to me short of it being a true emergency and that being my only option. Thanks
“I just want to make it easy on myself” *uses a hand drill* While I appreciate your skill in being able to even use a hand drill set, I wouldn’t necessarily consider it an easy method of fire starting.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks that’s fair, I suppose practice makes perfect. I’m really glad I found your channel, I’ve been interested for some time in the way people used to do things, especially including making tools and starting fires without all the advantages we enjoy today. I’m hoping to start actually getting into the nitty gritty and learning how to do some of it myself very soon. In fact, I need to sit down and go through your stone knapping videos to try and pick up the basics.
Thanks for watching. I’m hear you bring you some authentic information that is not some “survival challenge” silliness. Real stuff you can rely on. Thanks for watching.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks thanks man it's really some interesting and useful stuff I really appreciate it and thanks for all the the time you put in to these videos keep up the great work🏹🌲

Awesome. Let’s just say he sticks his nose where I’m digging. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it.
Awesome video!! 🦅
Some people are made to live like this. Some are made to watch it on TH-cam......
Might have to formulate this sort of kit while scouring the Chihuahuan desert in search of arrowheads here in southern New Mexico lol
I spot a WCH Blade!! Nice video!!
Awesome. You know it. Thanks for watching bro.
Good stuff. 👍🏻
Thanks. Appreciate it greatly.
Love the content & the channel! Absolute boss 💪
Thanks for watching. Appreciate you greatly.
As far as the double walled bottle could you use the hot rock method for boiling water
I think a baseball sized rock can boil a gallon
Single walled keeps it simple. Why go through the trouble.

if you cover the body of your bottle with a wet/damp clothe water will evaporate and keep your water cooler
Dude, great video. I'm glad to find this channel. 3/3 WPNS CO 81s
Survivor man his own TH-cam now. Would be cool to do a Collab of some sort. Love your videos by the way

Hey Donny what’s your favorite place to live? Btw love the videos I learn something every time!
Chihuahua desert? I live in the Northern Chihuahua desert, Tularosa basin area.
Do you ever make containers sourced from your environment? I tried burning a bowl from a log. I had some minor success, but mostly learned what not to do next time
I do. Clay pots, gourds, skulls, wooden bowls…everything is an option to be honest. Thanks for watching

Can you show how you sharpen your knife
Do you know anything about Apache survival gear?
Have you used any materials from South New Mexico? I'm a lifelong Southeast NM desert turd.

I feel like stone tools are still a technology, I mean we did call it the "stone age" which is where most of those technology came from
They are alive and well in my life. Love using them. Good connections and vibes.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks love learning all this cool stuff from you, thank you for keeping it alive
you didnt forget about youtube yay
Still here. Just been out on some adventures and doing my thing. Thanks for sticking around. Appreciate it greatly.
Id like to see a video of all your B-roll. Like walking back to the camera, stubbing your toe, or stuff we all have to do that no one really shows.
Haha. That would be good to go. I’ll start collecting it up.
A caveman’s edc 😄
Just watched your stone axe video and after I started to look at buying one 😂 would you ever make to sell?
I thought you forgot about TH-cam wow
Just been out for a good chunk of time. Nature calls. Thanks for watching.

Case by case really. If you have used a fire making system for years, it becomes pretty easy. Thanks for watching.
