Magnificent landscapes and unmatched serenity. Most folks don't get to experience this type of living. Either we don't have the land or lack the expertise necessary to do this anymore.
he thinks he's a minimalist but i'd say more so a copy cat of the people that actually do it.. he does it for a day or so and wears all the clothes but he lives a suburban life...
Finally a video that shows the reality of life on the land . How you don't just pull a fish on the first cast . How you don't need as much as you think to be viable in the trees . A good example of how not to be a kit freak and how to keep it simple, have patience and how to be a man . Great video .
A day like that beats any day in the office. I like that you ate away from your sleeping area. This is a great example for my scouts. Thank you for sharing. 🤙🏼
If you hadn’t mentioned it, I don’t think I would have picked up on it. My guess is so you don’t attract predators that might be tempted to give you a nibble while you’re asleep? Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you think about it. I can sleep on the ground without worry, unfortunate bit is I’d love to see wolves, bears etc….just from a distance but they are no longer either in the UK, some numptys hunted them all to extinction. Big softies.
His head is always on a swivel. Very aware of his surroundings. That could be the difference between life and death. Donny is about as legit as they come. You're an inspiration, man. Keep on keepin' on!
You asked the question a few days ago... This is exactly what I think we all want to see. Mixing in showing us some how tos would put it completely over the top. Thanks for sharing my friend 🤠
I was waiting for Fin to come walking by the camera . After about the 10th time of tossing that lure out for those trout, I would have been bow fishing for those 2 trout near the edge lol.
@Don... I know ya like hand lining.. But a small, ultralite spinning rig would be a massive help with those Kastmaster lures.. They kinda depend on a lil speed to wobble right.. I dont think anyone would gig ya too hard for crankin a reel for dinner. 🤷♂️ Love the content! Keep it comin!
Interesting idea could be mount the camera on a drone to place and retrieve from all those side travel shots. Land it for the shot, then move it ahead again.
My CSAR unit in the AF would go on 3 day trips on the AT with nothing but a tarp and the clothes we wore. I definitely had some foodless expeditions until I got the hang of it, but I learned to appreciate how DIFFICULT it is to hunt without a firearm. The woods humbled us, but it was some of the best memories I have
great work dude, i love your vids. i watched almost all of your shorts xD, i love all the things you do with them rocks, arrow heads, axes, spears plus the leather things, man i love those ones
Great video as always Donny 🤙 Your really great at catching them trout with that very minimalist setup. And you never get discouraged, which is great for teaching people watching. Awesome take care brother.
Looks an absolutely amazing place n I absolutely appreciate the hassle that goes into filming with all those camera angles etc. It can be a right Royal pain in the arse . Nice chilled out film 👍 Cheers, Rick n Billydog
As always great inspiration to get woodsy. Ever consider doing a series of videos as if a person walked into the bush with absolutely nothing and built up his personal tools/kit/gear from zero? I've seen plenty of no-tool shelter videos, but the idea of starting from scratch from a making a single stone tool and progressively making other tools and daily kit to keep going is something I ponder 🤔🤙🗻
First time viewing channel. What I like is the realistic approach of using modern kit with primitive. While the bow is primitive the guy has actual boots and uses a modern pack frame, and stainless Kleen canteen. I appreciate that blend and it represents a reality because of folks long ago had those available they would've definitely chosen and used them.
Hello friendly thanks for the video looked at one breath Yes I know I and the Rabache himself and the hunter When there's catch when there is no luck to you and health waiting for the following video I adore your timatics
Мне нравятся ваши видео. Видно, что вы человек, который любит природу и спокойную тишину в ней. Кстати, у вас природа на этом видео очень похожа на сибирскую летнюю.
Setting up cameras then walking back to get them then walking back to the spot you were in to walk towards the camera is actually a great workout especially on a mountain side
Good video idea, that was exciting! I’d recommend to Put a go pro on your head So we can follow you It would be awesome if you put yourself somewhere without anything/equipment to start off with. Then you manage to live of the land with your knowledge and craftsmanship. So you legit make your bow drill, get meat, make shelter, haft some stones to make knifes, get pine glue etc all from scratch, and survive like a couple days. That would awesome😮 But thanks again for the content Donny!
Thank ya fer share Butefull places skills and truth thank you Mr Donny watch out fer the old man of the woods thay are real but moste are disile in temper can trade with them but be careful because like people all are not good. Peace be on your path
Casting twelve times, getting nothing, and instead of being frustrated just saying "Ok, I'll try somewhere else." is the kind of patience I wish I had.
Holy crap! The water froze over night 😳 like how hot do you sleep that you slept through the night without noticing the lake?!? No shelter even??? 🤯 when the water's freezing can you hear it? 🤔 Maybe I'll gain enough confidence from watching you that our paths may cross out there in the Sacred somewhere someday 🙏🤓😎
Awesome vid brother ! Just got the Tops Mini Puuko and it seems perfect for a Lil fish processor...as you demonstrated....cheers my friend !!;:,;;; Spook
I could see the trout swimming towards the lure at the 1st spot you fished. Finally you got a nice one for dinner. Trout are delicious! Have you tried any Flies yet? Might have to put a split-shot 8-12 " above fly to get it out there, but different times of the year they might work.. Are you allowed to trap for small game out there? Hope so, might be able to snag rabbit or ? Any Bears around your area? What do you carry for defense against Bear or Lion Donnie ?

Your way of life is inspiring, actually it’s more than that, your way of life is a cure, a cure from this superficial era.
