Sometimes we forget just how much of a great musician Weird Al really is. It's rare to see someone being such a talented musician and a brilliant comedian at the same time
What does it feel like to be old? ❤ noThe other day, a young person asked me: - What did it feel like to be old? I was very surprised by the question, since I did not consider myself old. When he saw my reaction, he was immediately embarrassed, but I explained that it was an interesting question. And after reflection, I concluded that getting old is a gift. Sometimes I am surprised at the person who lives in my mirror. But I don't worry about those things for long. I wouldn't trade everything I have for a few less gray hairs and a flat stomach. I don't scold myself for not making the bed, or for eating a few extra "little things." I am within my rights to be a little messy, to be extravagant, and to spend hours staring at my flowers. I have seen some dear friends leave this world, before they had enjoyed the freedom that comes with growing old. -Who cares if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 in the morning and then sleep until who knows what time? I will dance with me to the rhythm of the 50's and 60's. And if later I want to cry for some lost love...I will! I'll walk down the beach in a swimsuit that stretches over my plump body and dive into the waves letting myself go, despite the pitying looks of the bikini-wearers. They'll get old too, if they're lucky... It is true that through the years my heart has ached for the loss of a loved one, for the pain of a child, or for seeing a pet die. But it is suffering that gives us strength and makes us grow. An unbroken heart is sterile and will never know the happiness of being imperfect. I am proud to have lived long enough for my hair to turn gray and to retain the smile of my youth, before the deep furrows appeared on my face. Now, to answer the question honestly, I can say: -I like being old, because old age makes me wiser, freer!-. I know I'm not going to live forever, but while I'm here, I'm going to live by my own laws, those of my heart. I'm not going to regret what wasn't, nor worry about what will be. The time that remains, I will simply love life as I did until today, the rest I leave to God. Lunyta 🌙 - in Oldsmar, Florida. . One of the most talented and underrated musicians of our lifetimes. And my favorite thing about him is that no matter what he's doing, he is always, unequivocally "Weird Al."
Weird Al is killing it, and the band and back up singers excellent… and the great song!! George developed into not only “the same level “ of songwriter as John and Paul but just as unique and his own style, and has penned many hits!…
Less than half of the songs on Al's 14 studio albums are parodies. Al is an incredible songwriter. I saw Al on his originals only Vanity tours, and he sang a different cover every performance.
The cover I never knew I needed to hear. Funny to think, if Weird Al hadn’t been in the music video for “My Sweet Lord” I wouldn’t have googled the connection between him and George and been brought here. I’m so so glad that the Concert for George wasn’t a one off. Dhani, Olivia and George’s friends are doing a phenomenal job of maintaining a wonderful legacy that should never be forgotten.
What a pleasant surprise to hear Weird Al go serious! One of my top favorite Harrisongs, I must admit that I thought crazy lyrics would have simply ruined it.
Al gotta be Al, but he leaves no doubt in my mind that this performance was a tribute. How cool is it to be at this event sitting in for George? Al knows.
A Very Nice Rendition Of The Classic 1970 George Harrison Song . . . What Is Life, By His Wonderful Weirdness, Weird Al Yankovic . . . Well Done . . . :-)
I imagined a young Weird Al, lying on his bed reading Mad magazine, maybe thinking about writing parody songs, and not knowing that someday he'd be onstage singing a song by a Beatle. And that would be just one of his many accomplishments.
My father always thought this song was about his daughter. I only looked up that George Harrison never had a daughter, so inadvertently my father was associating this song with me... I miss you dad. My dad and I also loved weird al and saw his concert before
Al has been singing a different straight cover every night on his last two tours, where he only sings his original song. I went to 3 and he's amazing!! There's a bunch people have posted on you tube. Check out Natural Woman and him singing Fire and Rain.
O my god, this was SO much fun!! All Things Must Pass is such a great album--it reminds me how much a horn section adds vibrance and energy to the overall mix/mood. Weird Al nailed the vibe... I'm not sure what he took beforehand, but it works for the song! :)
A great job by Al. My good friend Emily loved Weird Al. She must have attended a dozen of his shows over the years. Earlier this year, at the age of 38, she suddenly died. She would have loved this. Thanks for posting this.
Didn't know Al could belt out a song like that. He gets big props. This song to me is why George is my favorite Beatle. He had a knack for chord progressions that Paul and John just didn't possess. There's a reason why his songs stick out.
It's amazing what a talented vocalist Al really is even though he's a comedic musician (and I'm a HUGE fan of his). Not the absolute greatest singer, of course, but he's a lot more talented than most people realize. Really awesome performance!
My guess is that the various singers got to pick the song they wanted to do. So, it seems sweet to see WAY apparently put his sincere heart into a love song while his wedding ring is foregrounded on his hand.
This is my favorite George song and I was afraid to listen to this because I am also a Weird Al fan. I thought this can't be anythng but a disappointment. That was amazing! I loved how Weird Al added his quirkiness and style to the arrangement and performance. And the band and background vocals were perfect. Might be the best cover I have ever heard.
It's kind of El Weirdamundo to see Weird Al Yankovic being serious. I mean, we're used to seeing him being silly & doing an excellent job at being silly. This is surreal, out of the blue & unexpected. Pretty good singing voice though 👋👀👍❗
Ok...... I was waiting til the very end here to comment..... cause I wanted to see if Weird AL would say something funny and change any of the lyrics, as is usually his m o..... I guess his silly and dramatic facial gestures were enough! He did pretty good actually, singing one of my favorite George Harrison songs here..... nice job!
Weird Al has sung a different cover at every performance of his originals only Vanity tours. Look up him singing Fire and Rain. He has an incredible voice and can sing any genre. Then look up him singing Rebel Yell. Billy Idol, himself, wrote how impressed he was when he saw it.
They really put the background singers in the background. Can't even see them. Too bad. Perhaps the stage simply wasn't big enough. These background singers are great.
It's unfortunate, but there are several times when you can see them or parts of them. However, you have to look closely....like for a few seconds at 3:04

Never forget al ❤
And a wonderfully silly showman. I found his dancing and all very cute.
Yep. He is full of wonderful surprises. 😊

Weird Al put so much energy into this that George Harrison would be proud!😃👍☮️❤️
👍🏼🎶🎸
Damn right! I'd say excellent!
Weird Al is a real musician. And he respects music. And musical genius.
Not a parody. but an hommage. Merci to both Al and George.
What Is Life is probably my favorite Harrison song and i was annoyed that Weird Al was singing it. Until i heard it .... He was really good !!!
Weird Al is killing it, and the band and back up singers excellent… and the great song!! George developed into not only “the same level “ of songwriter as John and Paul but just as unique and his own style, and has penned many hits!…
Weird Al ROCKS this song!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I must be losing my damn mind ...i think I've watched this 20 times in a row ..
This is the first non-parody song I’ve ever heard Al do.
He’s still poking fun but in a wholesome way
Less than half of the songs on Al's 14 studio albums are parodies. Al is an incredible songwriter.

Here's one I love.

Look him up singing "Africa" with Weezer. Of course, he has that unique Al humor that must (thankfully) have its way, but he really sounds great.
I heard he wanted to do a parody of live and let die before.

Not serious lol. Just not edgy
I'm impressed. Weird Al does a bang-up job covering George Harrison's "What is Life." It's clear Al is more than just a pretty face.
Al gotta be Al, but he leaves no doubt in my mind that this performance was a tribute. How cool is it to be at this event sitting in for George? Al knows.
Its weird to see Al serious. Not a bad voice. It helps that he is singing one of my favorite songs
Lol he’s not serious. It’s hilarious but not too edgy
@@DjSicEm for Al thats serious!
Thank you Al I can listen to this all day
Keep the music alive! Live has been better with George's music in it!
Of course
weird al ages like a fine wine
Best video on youtube by far.

Weird Al is the absolute BEST!
HOLY! Al absolutely nailed one of my favorite George songs, and fave songs in general, PERFECTLY!!!
The surprise of this tribute concert were Al and Conan O'Brien, with their awesome voices. ❤ 🕉
Hearing Weird Al sing straight is probably the weirdest thing he's done and I'm all here for it!
I imagined a young Weird Al, lying on his bed reading Mad magazine, maybe thinking about writing parody songs, and not knowing that someday he'd be onstage singing a song by a Beatle. And that would be just one of his many accomplishments.
How does this not have more views?! Both these people are icons, this is an amazing song and version, and it's freaking hilarious
What an amazing energy! I guess when you are the world's greatest rock satirist, you get to sing your favorite tunes as an homage as well.
My father always thought this song was about his daughter. I only looked up that George Harrison never had a daughter, so inadvertently my father was associating this song with me... I miss you dad. My dad and I also loved weird al and saw his concert before
Its about Krishna
The love, the joy here is wonderful. The best of both George and Al. I've never heard him sing a song 'straight' before!
Can't do much that way these days.... 🎶👍🏼👈
Al has been singing a different straight cover every night on his last two tours, where he only sings his original song.

The most unlikely rock star ever. Love him.
I don't know how to feel about this. I think I like it?
Al the Man! Great work...incredible energy...You've got heart and soul..George would be proud of you, man!
A pleasant surprise! I was waiting for the crazy lyrics. 😅
A great job by Al.
My good friend Emily loved Weird Al. She must have attended a dozen of his shows over the years. Earlier this year, at the age of 38, she suddenly died. She would have loved this. Thanks for posting this.
Sorry to hear the loss of your dear friend Emily passed away sending thoughts and condolences.
I'd never heard of Weird Al until seeing this clip..... I'm now off on a Weird Al Fest....
Have you returned to reality?
Al slayed that song! Fantastic job to the whole band
My life is complete now
Great performance. That kick says enough!
Not only is Al a wonderful singer, but I could watch his bouncy curls all day!!
With George's sense of humor,I think he would be well pleased by a Weird Al parody of one of his songs. Alas,it can never be.
He did!
th-cam.com/video/do5vXn_Rap4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VuQ6iMv23al4MzhS
Probably not Al's best parody but still
OMG, very amazing, love you, George...

Wow -- ever knew he could actually sing! Did Georgie proud!
Bella cover. Saluti da Milano 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Weird Al is a better frontman than 90% of "frontmen" out there these days.
Brilliant
WOW que gran canción de George Harrison. 🙏
Respect to Al and his band mates. They cover so many genres, and do it well.
He nailed it.
WOW!! AL!!!
YOU ARE DEFINITELY A GENIUS!!!
WAYDAGO!!
🤘🤘🤘 ROCK ON!!
Love this❤❤❤❤❤
Great band!
This is not weird Al, it is Mr. Yankovic if you please. Very good.
Excellent.
We lost an entire genre of music when we lost George Harrison.
What a beautiful cover
I love his 'serious' voice, love his singing this love song. Yes, George would be proud. 🙂😊
❤ George ❤
why isn't there any slide guitar?
Great job, Al!
George Harrison un gran músico qué en su tiempo no fue valorado como merecía
Wonder if they tried a with-accordion version in rehearsals?
Love this!
🔥💥🔥Thank you for great , perfectly beautiful music!!
This is the best song of that whole concert! Weird Al is the bomb! I listen to this song several times a day. It really lifts my spirits!
Agree 💯 Bethd5049 and Brandon Flowers also pity both weren't in the Concert For George show.🎵🎶💎☘️

I was expecting something else, pleasantly surprised. A lot of energy there!

After his parody of heart set on you, and now this, I realize just how similar Al sounds like George
Holy shit ....lol . Right on
I full on expected him to start sing "OOhhhhhh i want to be a pirate"
alright already...he killed !
✌️❤️
Клево!!
