I personally haven't seen ANYONE talk about the phenomenon you discussed in that last youtuber video. Which is wild because I've thought the same thing for years. Seeing someone call it out was refreshing (and validating). I actually watched a couple of your art videos after and enjoyed them, too! But I'm not an artist so I may not be the "right?" viewer for some of those videos like you mentioned. You are also an amazing, captivating orator. It's hard to put into words, but you are very engaging. Looking forward to more stuff from you - including art. also - the sound is way better ;)

For what it's worth, I think you are a born video essayist. The reason I loved your last video is because it came across as effortless and totally authentic. You have a lovely honest, open way about you that I think translates very well to discussions about thought-provoking topics. Also you made excellent points. You managed to articulate something I've been suspecting and struggling to put into words for quite a while now. I found myself thinking, "Damn, I hope this guy makes more video essays. Ironically I found you by watching Kelsey's response to your last video. After sitting through her response I thought, why not see what she is responding to. I strongly disagree with calling the youtube algorithm mill (and its loyal followers) a pyramid scheeme, and its funny that that word likely was what favoured the algorithm towards you. But I can easily see past this disagreement on the semantics and acknowledge your valid critiques and frustrations with the stuff fed to us artists turned SoMe-consumers. You are clearly very talented, not only in your art practice, but unfortunately also as an influencer/opinionist. Intrigued to keep an eye on your career direction. Thank you for your input.

it seems unfortunately youtube (and a lot of social media) feeds off of drama, and videos talking about a juicy topic attract people and are pushed by the algorithm T^T art videos are wonderful, but they're only enjoyed by a certain audience. It's hard to keep up that kinda niche without pushing more clickbaity topics, like 'is art school worth it' etc etc. Just feels like running in a hamster wheel and slowly resenting the content you actually want to make as it doesn't perform well, it's a messy old state that social media is in rn.
TH-cam pushed your previous video essay to me and I enjoyed it, then it lead me to enjoying your art videos, so small victories I guess!

one thing i've noticed about channels with 500k or more followers is that they have at least 100 videos, most of the time 150, 200 or even 300 videos. youtube is not solely a numbers game, but the more videos you have, the more chances you have for people to discover you. it's kind of silly to expect a huge reaction after posting only a few videos in three years, but even then some of your videos have 10s of 1000s of views, which is VERY good for a small channel. i have about 20 full length videos on my channel and only a few of my videos have cracked 1k. i'm still learning how to make good videos but i'm willing to stick it out until i get it right and then some. youtube is a long term game. you already have great videos, just focus on making more of them!

absolutely! my point was more that I should have been able to make more videos in the last three years (and if I made more videos then I could have also gradually built my audience), but I completely agree with you that it's silly to expect a huge reaction. it's so important to stick it out!

My thought on your comparison between yt and ig posting. It might be more beneficial to post your ig reels as shorts. It could potentially get the same kind of attention towards your art without any extra work. My only fear is that maybe you'll end up with some kind of disconnect between videos and shorts, but I'm not aware of how those two groups influence each other. But It's also possible YT just either isn't the place or not the place you want to advertise like you said.

As another option under commentary that isnt negative, I'd love to see process videos for your fanart with commentary discussing that topic, why you like it, any experiences you've had, maybe if its a youtuber you could give your thoughts on topics brought up in their recent videos, but just casually/stream of conciousness style. You're clearly very insightful, have refreshingly normal/ethical takes, and as a bonus your voice is lovely and you speak very well, and your art process is nice to watch without its own commentary (I think people like a sense of mystique around art processes sometimes) so idk I just know I'd tune in haha hehe ❤❤❤

I'm very conflicted about your change in direction. On one hand I commend anyone who finds a different direction in life and if being a video essayist is where your passion lies, awesome. More power to you. On the other hand, I think you need to be better researched when you make your essays. Granted your last video got a lot of attention, but it was also factually wrong and possibly even bordered on defamation. You are a small channel now and with good research and interesting topics, you could really thrive and grow. But I guarantee you, that if you are not careful especially if you take on the wrong person with resources they can bury you in a lawsuit. Even when you have all of the facts on your side, you can get sued. Example: Coffezilla being sued by Logan Paul. Best of luck in your new path and hope you have great success.

Oh dear... I can certainly appreciate your frustration and have definitely lived the 'why didn't my videos get more views' lifestyle. I want to encourage you to not give up on your dreams of being an artist. But I also want to give you some advice to not do something you're not passionate about - and I don't think you're passionate about making videos. There is a lot of advice out there from a lot of people who are self-proclaimed gurus at all kinds of things, not just art. You just can't take every piece of advice and then get mad when and if it doesn't work for you. You have to understand how that advice relates to you, where that person is in their life, what are their resources, how long did they work to get to where they are, etc. Having a degree is important... sometimes. As someone with degrees (plural) and a past career as an HR manager now artist, I will say that no one cares. I don't mean that in a bad way - but in the grand scheme of it all, a degree is just a piece of paper. It's the effort and the skill and the time you put into something that shows your passion for a thing. It's the experience. And frankly, I don't think you have enough experience to speak on whether or not TH-cam can work for anyone. I think your art is beautiful. I think the way you communicate your opinions, thoughts, and ideas is also great, and I think you may have a future in positive informative videos. But you will first have to become a bit more humble, be way more patient, and put in the work required to gain the notoriety you seem to want. What is see when I watch your videos is someone searching for a community; but you've just finished unapologetically bashing the community you're supposed to belong to... And the worst part is that you bullied a fellow artist who has worked at her art and content career both longer and harder than you. You don't get promoted in any job by simply putting in mediocre effort and a small amount of time. You have to constantly learn, take courses on photography (for example) or videography or even different styles of art. You learned art, now it's time to live it and experience it outside of the classroom. Make 100 videos and get better. Then make more. Then make them more frequently. One person may not discover your third video, but they may finally discover you from your 50th. Learn SEO and keywords. It's annoying, but it's part of the content-making process. Marketing sucks, but unfortunately, it's the only way to show your face and your work to many people. And it. takes. time. Give it time, and do so without kicking down others who are just trying to do the same. If you haven't, please please please watch Adam's video and take it as the respectful and constructive lesson it was meant to be. th-cam.com/video/LtcQv4Td5TQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=omU0W4LmezUX_kK8
You owe this community a genuine apology. But more than anyone, you own Kelsey one. Not a sarcastic false self-depreciating apology... really reflect on what you said and how you said it and the harm it caused. Then put yourself in her shoes and imagine how you would feel if your own words were directed at you. Then grow and learn and come back with more amazing (albeit more positive) material. I would definitely watch more of that. 💜 I wish you all the best and hope you keep making amazing art.

Watching any TH-cam growth advice video will drill into you that consistency is #1 and necessary. You need to post as much content as possible. Kelsey in comparison has made 206 videos in FOUR years!

I think post what you love, or it can become a time sucking trap. TH-cam is a great opportunity to have a moving record of the progression of your work, and if you sell work online it’s a great way to show you do actually make it yourself from scratch!
The popular side of it has mainly become a vehicle for selling hopes and dreams to people who are unhappy or disillusioned, and it’s also fast becoming a shopping channel by constant product placement. I can only speak for myself, but I always want to see down to earth artists who are authentic to themselves and make art.

You're kind of supposed to do both. You have to dig in with your niche so that you have a base to interact with. But you're also supposed to keep watch for when your expertise intersects with the mono, those are supposed to be your big projects. Every artist that lasted the test of time existed within their own binaries and deviated from them. It takes an insane amount of practice to be one step ahead of an internet audience.

I felt a little bit attacked with the ''types of videos'' part because that's exactly what I do in my channel
But I feel where this feeling come from, Art youtube is not easy, specially in my case, that records everything in portuguese, so my main public is brazillian or portuguese (We know that automatic subtitles are not very good and that rarely anyone will stop to read what is there)). I had that same sentiment some time ago, i felt like it was not worthit to create on this platform anymore because i was not growing at all but I didn't wanted to quit because I really love editing videos and, mostly, telling stories.
As soon as I realized that my job here it not to just show my art, my process, making tutorials, sketchbook tours and showing the reality of my boring job as an artist, but perhaps it was something else: telling all those boring things in different ways, exactly as an history with beganning, middle and end.
If you accept this advice: please, dont take your art or youtube channel so serious, I do love your sense of humor, sometimes reminds me of ChadChad (shes amazing love her). Tell your truth in here, make silly challenges, tell stories about things that you are interested on. But most of all: Have fun!

I feel like there is no real space for artists on the internet anymore. Sites dedicated to art like deviantart betray their users, and sites that artists use that appeal to wider audiences do not prioritise art, like IG and twitter. On youtube, commentary/essay videos are pushed more heavily than art videos. D'Angelo Wallace started out in art youtube but ended up in commentary youtube, so it seems like a pipeline that youtube pushes upon artists if they want to build an audience.
It's a real shame, because community is so important for artists, but the community on the internet feels so spread out.
I appreciate your work, and hope you can find a balance where you create content you love and share your art with your audience, but also get traction from the mysterious algorithm.

i found your channel through your previous video, which i liked a lot, bc it was a topic absolutely worth discussing. then i checked out your art videos & i found them sooo soothing to watch and listen to, especially as i do my own art (i do digital paintings & pixel art) or i journal - it’s like a ‘study session’ or a way to motivate oneself to make art. i think sometimes we really underestimate how powerful just WATCHING someone making art can be. i love to watch painting/draw with me videos, even without any voice over, because i can learn something new even by just watching someone else’s process. in case you think your videos are ‘too egotistical’ or ‘unhelpful’ - they definitely can be helpful and are so!
i’m a creative person also deciding what to focus my channel on & struggling with topics, though i’m slowly making progress with this. i had a very similar mental block where i thought i ‘wasn’t good enough’ to make content/share my experience or that ’nobody would care.’ i even thought my vlogs would be boring too haha! but i found i was really just overthinking the heck out of it. what i had to do was find the intersection between what i have fun making and what people have fun watching. and if you watch youtube a lot, then instinctively you know what’s fun to watch. so that’s good news, you already have half the knowledge required in that equation! so there was no reason, for me, to overthink the other half. what you have fun making & what people have fun watching don’t have to be on different planets, because what unites them, really, is effort! mainly the effort to make the videos you have in mind and making them as well as you can with your current equipment. people recognise that and will want to watch.
also re: overthinking content, there comes a point where i literally just said to myself, ‘this is youtube. people love it because EVERYONE gets to share something.’ you don’t have to have a phd in art to talk about art! it’s not a formal job or a uni application, you don’t need the ‘official’ qualifications. being passionate about something is, truly, enough. you have something that only you can share & that’s really valuable!
sorry for the really long comment, but hope this helps anyone out there! i subscribed to you - good luck on your journey! ✨

    • @morguedesign
      @morguedesign  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@morguedesign you’re very welcome! ❤
another thing i was trying to convey is that there are videos for everything on youtube - makeup, DIY, art, drama, video essays, fountain pen reviews, people even enjoy looking at other people’s journals & sketchbooks! there will absolutely be people who will appreciate your videos, no matter what you make. no topic is ‘too silly’! so really the best thing to do is to make something you’d want to watch & see how it goes. and you can change your videos at any point, too! :) as long as you are giving something valuable to the viewer, then imo the video is good! (and ‘something valuable’ can be anything - information, a tutorial, entertainment, or even just good vibes!)
i find that pressure & perfectionism are the enemies of creation. wanting to do things right is great, except when it starts to hinder or altogether stop the creative process. i see creation as making up half of the ‘figuring out’ process (if you don’t create, how do you know what you like making?), and that helped immensely in taking taking the pressure off.
i’m sure you’re going to be great at whatever you choose to do! looking forward to seeing what you make ✨

I think something about your education distorded your vision of some real world stuff. I was too a very "brilliant" student in my area, and boy let me tell you that scores, and honors don't mean shit outside that university bubble
Yes, your art is good, but you know how many good and great artist are out there?, many of them have to expand their area to be well know, good art is not enough in the internet since there's a lot of amazing artist out there, you are a good sample as well, since you did a drama video(it was not a critique video, since you used a very sarcastic, and derogatory language in it). Sadly the thing that you expanded was on that, drama, others expand to more helpful, funny videos, low efforts ones as well. You are very young and you don't have the answers to everything yet
I agree with a lot of stuff about your previous video, like the numbers can be misleading and feel like they are spitting on us their success, but it seems you take things as granted. I'm an artist as well, a not well known one, I spent and lot of time and effort on my works I put all my soul in some of my works and yet I don't "succeed" in this game, but I have two choices, whining or just keep doing what I love, and trying to find solutions for myself.
Nobody forces you to play the youtube game, you have a lot of options, don't say "we" since everyone have their decisions about what is good or bad for them, you will not write the rules here, you can't decide how artists earn the money, I wish as well that the world was that hippie shit of creating for love to the craft only and the end of the month I see a paycheck in my pocket but real life doesn't work like that. You are a smart guy and young, you will succeed if you try hard enough and being yourself.

And is a true struggle to be honest and authentic in the internet. I appreciate that you are wiling to try some other ways to make what you love profitable, but i must advise you to keep learning about theories of communication and specially mass communication so you can make it even more scalable. I think it's challenging to grow in your niche because people aren't necessarily searching for someone they’ve never heard of to watch them paint or showcase their work. Your previous video worked well because the title and thumbnail immediately gave us an idea of what to expect, and it posed an intriguing question: "What is this pyramid problem on TH-cam?" That hooked viewers. However, something like "Here’s a collection of my sketchbooks" doesn't seem as attention-grabbing when compared to all the other suggested videos people see.
It’s unfortunate that that’s the reality of TH-cam. If your goal is to get more views and grow your channel, you have to play that game a bit i'm afraid. I think you can still create art content you’re passionate about, but you might need to reframe how you package it. While I don't follow many painting/drawing TH-camrs, I do watch creators who build furniture or work on similar projects. They manage to capture attention by turning their artistic skills into fun challenges or unique concepts that viewers instantly understand and want to click on. Despite me knowing nothing about furniture crafting. You’re probably creative enough to come up with some exciting ideas for your skills :)
I’d love to see more commentary videos from you. You’re a natural at it. Once your audience grows (and I’m sure it will!), you could mix in some more relaxed, non-clickbaity art videos that would still get views.
(By the way, I think the people who mentioned the audio in your last video were referring to the clicking sounds. Most video editors have a "de-clicker" effect that can fix that easily. It’s a pretty common audio thing, and some people even eat a green apple before recording to reduce the noise because it dries their mouth a bit or something.)

Hey Morgue, I deleted my previous comment because after taking a deeper look into things I have a lot more context now. I wasn't very familiar with the other TH-camrs you criticized in your previous video and I looked into the accusations you made against Kelsey.
I have been able to relate to you on various aspects. I have also felt the internet is becoming swamped with courses, advice "gurus" and people who offer digital marketing courses right after taking a digital marketing course themselves. I also see a problem with this and I can relate to your frustrations as to how difficult it is to build an audience online around your art. I also love Pedro Pascal and I am also disabled.
I don't want to see you start off in the online art community by building a negative reputation for yourself by unfairly criticizing other artists. After watching Kelsey's response video I can see that you completely misrepresented who she is and what she does and this was a very harmful thing to do. Her art is beautiful and her response to you is filled with kindness and graciousness and I really think that you owe her an apology.

    • @paint.brains
      @paint.brains 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

I think Kelsey's response missed the crucial critique by Morgue. What Kelsey focused on where the comments said about art TH-camrs, including her, were abandoning their origins as traditional artists, but that was more of an aside. I don't disagree with how being an artist is hard and there needs to be more understanding of how it's not always about creating with traditional mediums. What Kelsey barely touched upon was a phenomena that's been growing (that's not unique to the art community) where creators are selling marketing tips that may or may not be real and profiting off of it immensely. Kelsey has always come across as kind and genuine in her videos, but her videos reflecting this trend is real. I don't think an apology is necessary.

I also started an art channel but quickly realized I couldn't really offer anything that wasn't already offered by other artists with more knowledge and experience than me. I thought long and hard about what kind of videos I could do as an artist, and the solution I found was that instead of making videos about my art, I would create art for videos that were about other topics I was interested in.
For instance, I did a couple of animations, and currently I'm working on story videos which I'm illustrating. So there are definitely other options for artists, options where you still get to create art but you'll probably need to combine it with something else because your art is now in a supportive role, rather than the lead.

Well based on the ~3% of people who watched the last video and subscribed (myself included) I'd guess most people who watched have no real interest in your art specifically but anybody who subscribed does. 3 subs/100 views is fairly high overall but I may be assuming more people did what I did and clicked on your channel to see what the rest of your videos were before following so I don't really make physical art so I wouldn't watch painting tutorials the way I do blender but assumed future videos would be art not TH-cam/commentary related. Will definitely watch general process videos and video essays though. Also definitely the most sustainable way to make a career from TH-cam for an artist is to use it to showcase your portfolio and also just show you can complete projects in order to get freelance clients.

It is definitely an interesting platform. I started my channel because I lost my art teaching job. I thought this would be a fun place to upload some are tutorials, but, ya, the struggle is real. I am slowly finding my voice and I am enjoying the creative process. It is also pushing me as an artist, stepping outside my comfort zone. I have no idea if I will find success here or not, but I am going to keep evolving and putting myself out there. I do like the idea of diversifying, but like you said, editing a video takes even longer than it takes me to create the art itself. Anyway, I am really glad I came across yours channel. I found you through the previous video as well, and find it interesting that it’s a lot of us artists that stumbled across it. I’ve for sure felt the “pyramid scheme-y” vibe from a lot of these TH-camrs (both artists and non-artists). I’m in the same boat in terms of being super on and off with making videos. I also tried out all of the above types of art videos that you mentioned and constantly find myself running out of things to talk about. The only videos that did well in numbers were art tech related subjects/reviews. I actually enjoy making those videos to help people find good options for things I personally use.
I actually don’t watch very many TH-cam artists these days. Often times I find myself scrubbing through these 2-3 hour long videos of artists working on their projects to be fascinated and inspired by the way they go about their work. I’m constantly finding myself wanting to make new drawing videos so I’ve been thinking about getting back into it again. Just don’t know how I want to tackle it this time around.

  • @lotrfanhome

I think there's a relationship connection that needs to be made between the art that's being made and the audience that NEEDS to see that artwork in order to be successful on TH-cam. I grew up reading comic books, and graphic novels are just a matured audience step beyond that. Art is a visual language for communication that taps into a different part of the brain to aid in an overall understanding of what is being communicated. My channel succeeded without resorting to making any off-topic videos to pull in the audience. But making art for art's sake and hoping somebody else would want to see it wasn't really what I was trying to do. I was trying to make visual communication aids for a novel because I needed them and nobody else was making them, and a lot of my audience needs to see those pictures, too. The channel succeeded, not because I'm skilled as an artist, far from it, but because my audience is so hungry for it.

I can only speak about IG but what grinds my gears is the way people say that algorithm-based SM is a place where anyone can make it etc. without seeing the obvious - in the vast majority of cases only one kind of person actually makes it, and that's the extrovert who overshares and overexplains and shows their face and makes a LOT of video content. You have to be a creator who all but force-feeds your audience with easy "relatable content", nothing which requires thinking, just consuming and feeling. If you're not like that you have to pretend to be like that or your chances of being pushed out to the people who also aren't like that are abysmal. I've not found any new creators whom I vibe with for a long time because of this.

I'm glad you spoke on this. I hear you, especially since I started posting earlier this year, this series of thoughts resonates so deeply in my psyche. The hows and whys of filming, audio recording, editing, have been so daunting, let alone the entire "marketing" aspect of getting eyes on the video so the created art can be seen. Then all of that, resulting in what seems like small returns in attention is disheartening, particularly when a channel feels is a first foray into earning anything from art. It's rough--and because of that it's probably healthier to look at TH-cam as another posting avenue that may end up with some revenue, rather than the end all be all.
Honestly, I'm very grateful for your pyramid scheme video as it helped me spot a deep rabbit hole I hadn't fully stumbled into yet. It also lead me to your other videos, which are part of the reason I became a subscriber, as the deep dive video alone wouldn't have been enough of a push for me as a viewer. The fact that you'd been posting art and videos already lent credence to your points, plus the art only videos were great on their own.
One thing is for sure, we are a far cry from the more "democratic", "everymans" platform that TH-cam seemed to be in its early years; the crux of it is everyone is here-- there's a fight for attention and the "right" things to get it change from niche to niche, topic to topic, video to video. Which is part of why I think there's nothing wrong with variety in channel videos. From what I've seen--and this is purely speculative from probably too much time on this platform--people come for the video that caught their eye but they stay for you and what else you have to share, however it evolves. At the very least that's true for me as a viewer and I'm excited to see what happens from here.

I’m new to art but a career creative (freelance writer) and my suggestion for a fulfilling and long career is to invest in your skills and your IRL network. TH-cam can be a creative outlet to see how your skills grow (over years, forget blowing up) but that’s about it. You will connect with some awesome people but it’s best not to think of it as a leg of your career. It’s a very frustrating path for the vast majority of us. Thats my take anyway.

And tbh... Art is very private to me? The process is fun, and I like to share my thoughts about pieces with others but... I don't know if I could make every piece a video or not? Or I'd that would work?
I am wondering now if that's something I should do, tbh: deeper meaningful pieces with an essay behind them sounds very exciting to me anyway.

I found you from your last video, subscribed halfway through this one. Your art is gorgeous, and as an artist myself I'm interested in the process. *BUT!* I'm in a different discipline, so I'm not so much interested in the technical process of brush on canvas, but more the abstract creative process behind it and the artist's journey during the project.
I'm personally going through a similar shift with my own channel. Trying to appeal to a broader version of myself and treating my channel more as the art itself and less as a marketing horn. It's tough to find your style with video making and figuring out what yt and the audience want from you but I think you need to grind it hard in the beginning to have a solid library. You might not have prepared for it as extensively as for your last video, but you *have* worked many years to become the person who has the level of perceptiveness, sensitivity and articulation that you can bring to a more conversational video like this.
I like how your conclusion on a Me+TH-cam note. That overlapping sliver where what interests you, also interests others. What attracts me most on TH-cam is watching people who are talking about something they truly enjoy talking & thinking about. There's an aliveness I can sense in these videos. Once they shift to only making things they *think* others want to hear from them, I'm out. I can hear the sparkle slip from their voice.
I personally keep noticing that the more I share about what I feel called to share (and not what I think I have to share), the less expectations about numbers & results I'm clinging to. Which is freeing :)

Holy shit! I subbed to you because of your paper making video (it is in my playlist called "Videos that Matter" which is 4 videos over my TH-cam lifetime of 10+ years). I watched your new one when it came out. I am so so glad you are more famous now, I genuinely thought this channel was still small. I will go around waving my OG flag :3

between your last video and this one, i gotta tell you i feel slightly more sane. i've had all these thoughts about youtube and art and marketing for a long time and i haven't seen absolutely anyone else address them on this platform. until you. thank you! you have a new subscriber and customer (because your etsy shop is awesome and i just placed my first order). Good luck!

I found your channel because of the essay video, but I watched other videos from you and really enjoyed them! Remember that you can do any video content you want. If you want to do essays, do those, if you want to do art, do that! You don't have to stick to one subject or one type of video either. You can mix it up and do whatever you personally find interesting, because there's usually other people that will find it interesting too! Like you could do a video about your love of Doctor Who or the Art of Doctor Who because there's a lot of us Doctor Who fans out there that will watch!

Thanks for the video. I’d like to say that at the end I thought you said Market my HEART not Art. And since art is closely related to people’s heart. I think that is fitting❤️

Time, resilience and patience. You're doing great! Post whatever you want to show/express/teach/make. You have only a dozen videos here. It's too soon! Just keep going!

New viewer here. I’m going to check out your art videos next.
And I think that’s the key. Musicians who have a hit song seldom sustain that level of fame. But that one hit gets them introduced to a much larger audience of people who like their core style than they would have been able to reach otherwise.
Will the entire audience of the hit transfer that passion to the back catalogue? Nope. But there will be quite a few who love it and would never have known it without that one flash in the pan.
Congrats, and I’m looking forward to seeing your art!

Great content! I’ve liked and subscribed. I just started my TH-cam channel in August 2024. The audio was spot on, and your artwork is impressive. Good stuff-keep it coming! I really appreciate the content!

I recently subscribed after watching the pyramid scheme video. Your commentary and voice were so calming, amusing, entertaining and educational all at the same time! Have you ever tried live-streaming while you create art? A young Bob Ross video from you would be so cool

Good to get to know you better Morgan, as an artist who has been trying to post on TH-cam on and off, I'm guilty of making most of those video topics you mentioned 😅

In the end, people come to TH-cam for entertainment. Even if they want education, they want to be entertained while learning.
How are you entertaining your audience? Sure, your art is beautiful to look at... but how do you plan to keep our attention on it for 20 minutes?
Once you figure out who your audience is and how to entertain them, then you will have a smooth sailing

What no one seems to understand when it comes to TH-camrs & having a channel is that at a certain point the audience controls you more than the other way around.Even if you gain wealth & a major following all eyes end up being on the TH-camr it basically becomes reality tv until they get bored & onto the next TH-camr no matter what niche or content.
I always think it’s better to start with conversations,Etsy, more old fashion before starting on TH-cam from the gecko the only thing worth it is the free stuff when it comes on being on a budget
