@@PastorJeremyCollins So the original text from the Greek was mistranslated? So where is the original and what Bible has the original text ? As a pastor you should know better than to leave that in the hands and trust of Men. God promised he would give us his word in our language so you have some serious strings to tie with the Lord. Now as for my questions, as a pastor please just answer my questions. You are having trouble telling me? No. You are wrong, now I have to add a third question. 1. Where did you learn that from? Was that from a teacher ? Your own learning? Was it a spiritual divine? 2. Where can you prove your name is in the book of life. 3. Where is salvation in the Bible. Where am I justified freely in the eyes of God? 4. How do I read my Bible? Those are my questions. As a ( pastor ) “I see a wolf” You should have answered these easy. Galatians 1:6-12 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. The Bible is calling you a curse and a Wolf at the same time. If the Bible, Paul and the Lord are telling me that SALVATION is in ROMANS 3 why on earth are You telling me it’s in Eph????
Agreed on theKJV. Although I would say ESV or NASB for Bible study. Since the NLT and CSB aren’t word for word. But a good combination of both are imoortant!
I like how ur being budget friendly. Its worth paying more for quality tho in my opinion. Midliner pens, no swear highlights, notebooks with good paper, washi tapes, etc. Its worth it ! And u can go to ollies, pop Shelf, marshalls , tj max, dds, Burlington or even walmart. U save a lot then getting them from target, Michael's or office deport / office max
King James is my favorite. I was brought up with the King James Version of the Bible. It’s nice to also have the NLT version of the Bible. It’s great to compare, read, and study the two versions together. Sometimes it helps to clarify or give deeper understanding.
My current method is I got one of those legal style small notepads (it was about the same size as my Bible for ease of carry) and I opened to genesis and began reading and decided to write down any thoughts/verses/questions/answer that came into my head while reading. I also decided to write down and list things like days of creation, 12 tribes of Israel. (Ya know the things we teach kids in Sunday school and sometimes think we don’t have to go back to it) basically the building blocks of faith. So far I’ve made it to Leviticus and am about half way through the notebook. I also found out you can get a glue stick and glue the note paper into your Bible and it stays put (from another TH-camr) and when I got to deactiptions of stuff like the tabernacle I print off a picture that helps with visual. So far it’s kept me encouraged to keep reading and studying 😊
@@dr-wz4gf do a search onwhat versions of the bible leave out verses. ESV, NIV, Leave out some verses. Some examples of verses that are omitted from modern English translations include: Matthew 18:11 Matthew 20:16 (b) Mark 6:11 (b) Luke 4:8 (b) Luke 9:55-56 Luke 23:17 Acts 9:5-6 Acts 13:42 Acts 23:9 (b)
It is equally possible that the KJV translators added verses that weren't in the original autographs, some of the verses very well might have been commentary or a duplicated phrase that happened to be on the Scribe's mind while copying. and they thought it worth repeating, most of the "missing" verses are included elsewhere in the scriptures, The wealth of transcripts that were used (older, closer to original documented events) when translating the newer translations didn't include some of the "missing verses." Also no translation is perfect, since the English language doesn't have words that mean the same thing as some hebrew/Greek words, unorganized thoughts I know, I'm sorry. Hope this finds you well and makes some sense.
I totally understand how you feel. I felt the same way for a long time. It helps me to read through the story of The Prodigal Son and remember that each salvation is a celebration. I love listening through the "For The Gospel Podcast," as it helps me understand different passages in the Bible as well. While you may feel behind, God is on time with you.
KJV is the only translation to use. Not shaming anyone who uses others, but to say “you don’t recommend”, intimidates people from reading the truth of the KJV. I would recommend anyone to read it. If I can, anyone can, it’s not scary, pair it with the 1828 Noah Webster and honestly all other translations will not appeal to you. I used to love the NKJV and the NASB, but once I got into the KJV, I will never go back nor recommend others.
The kjv is not the most word for word accurate version of the bible that exists. The reality is its important that people have a bible that they can read and understand, and honestly kjv is not a normal English vernacular on our English today. When you begin to read you start at baby steps and then graduate to more sophisticated and accurate structures. Don't discourage people by pushing the kjv when the whole point is to UNDERSTAND the scripture, and look for accuracy as well for study. We need not make the bible a stumbling block in our Christian experience. God meets us at every level of understanding.

@@PastorJeremyCollins Well i'm learning the bible , It's very perplexing and I knew this moment would come. I've been a born again, Christian for over 30 years, But digging deep in scripture now. Anyways, The Times when that example was presented,, I should have wrote it down because I knew I would be in this situation where someone asks me that 1 day. So maybe I will try to find it and get back to you.🤪 But no seriously,, So many reputable pastors have said that. So I will try to let you know. And then I did a side by side whilst listening to a podcast,,,KJV and new american.. Though I find, The latter being easier to understand, I can see where in some scripture it could have different meanings behind the words.
@hfrt29 This is why it is important to study the bible by comparing different translations as well as certain words from the original language so that we can get a well rounded understanding of what is being presented in the word. Also keep in mind that the KJV was revised by King James and his people and is also a translation from another version of the bible. As we grow as Christians, we need to stay curious and pray about any questions we have and ask God to help clarify what is being said while reading the bible. God bless you and good luck on this wonderful adventure of walking with Jesus!
It depends on the franchise owner. I have three DTs within a few miles of me. One is an unbelievable mess, another is average, and a third is in a large store that is very well stocked, clean and organized.
That’s personal…. I live in Pennsylvania. We have Dollar Tree and Dollar Store and Dollar General… it’s quite confusing which is which. Especially now because nothing is only $1, with inflation now it’s $1.25
If they sold Logos at the Dollar Store I would have recommended it in this video. I love Logos, and use it often in my other videos, this one was just focused on what you could get for super cheap.

I think it is a good translation, but there are others that will help people understand more clearly that stay true to the original Greek.

Can you give me an example of where something has been misinterpreted by a translation?
