I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate the "Journaling Mistakes, Pros and Cons" portion of this video. The struggle for perfection is real, oppressive, and exhausting. I watched that part of your video on repeat just to get it in my head that it is okay to mess up and keep moving forward instead of quitting or throwing away and re-buying so I can start over. I'm ready for this stronghold to crumble and I thank you for sharing your experience, honesty, and what you have learned through making "mistakes"
Jen, I praise God in advance for full deliverance from perfectionism . We serve a PERFECT God so that we don't have to strive to be what only He can. Letting go is an act of worship and trust in Him. Whew, I know soooooo well that the struggle is REAL 😫🥴, but God is able to heal us. Perfectionism is an extension of control. Control is a form of fear and we know that fear is straight from hell. So we cast it down in the name of Jesus. We declare peace over perfectionism. In the name of Jesus! I'm so grateful that you took the time to share transparently. I homeschool my children; so they attend the classes for their age levels, and I’ve seen God move in them over the years. Then, my husband joined an evening CBS group for men last year, and it was just what he needed. I’m so grateful how God has used these studies to deepen our relationships with Him. 🙌🏻❤️ I’m starting to Bible and prayer journal too, which is why I’m watching your video.

The homeschool sweethearts do such beautiful lessons. I wish my kids could go. I, however, do not homeschool & the evening class doesn't work for us. I praise God for how CBS is blessing your family. I pray things change on our end, and that our entire family will be able to enjoy the evening class..or at least my husband. What you said about being a perfectionist is so real, my handwriting leaves much to be desired and that can at times stump me... which is why i started making journaling sticker kits 😆 to minimize the distraction of my handwriting.

Bible journaling helps me before I write any message or beefore doing a speaking engagement. Did I have coming up. Now I have to go to the store to get more pens, highlighters and stickers.😅

In the mist of that I will find scriptures related to other messages I plan or write in the future. In that case I end up with more than enough scriptures to discuss/educate on, overall its a beautiful process. Amen we all need more of him 🙌🏾
In my previous bible, i used scrapbooking glue that had a fine tip. I thought i loved it, but retrospectively I dont because it caused the pages to stick. A glue stick, however, might work 🤔. I feel like I've seen women use glue sticks online. At this point, i might be too troubled to try (given my previous glue experience). But I know it works. Maybe you can do a combination depending on what you're tipping in.
