Hi Faith! Tip from a Hobby Lobby employee: Happy Planner, Agenda 52 and The Paper Studio go on sale every other week! 40% off the marked price. Also the glue runners you like are refillable! Hobby Lobby sales the refills for about 2.50 I believe. Great video! I just looked at that boy paper pad last night for my OCC boxes!
Girl, EVERY TIME I go to a craft store, I think of you. I always am on the hunt for more Bible journaling supplies!
Hey Faith! I love you and your beautiful spirit! Just wanted to share something with you, I got a long sleeve "Bible Nerd" shirt and I just LOOOOOOVE it! But the greatest thing is I was at Hobby Lobby this past weekend and a man stopped me who saw my shirt and loved it and we just started a conversation about the bible and the goodness of God! I know that would probably never happened in just a regular tshirt! So now I want them ALL!!!! So,to my Bible Nerd guru keep it coming sister you are awesome and in this day and time we need more Jesus Nerds!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for a new crafty video!
Sometimes I will mention Bible Journaling when I'm talking to my Dad.
The other day, he was saying how he's always running out of space for notes in his Bible.
He's coming over tomorrow so I can add a few blank pages in his Bible. hee hee!😊
Not only have I got my nieces and nephew into Bible journaling, but now even my Dad is starting to like it!
Also, my husband likes to help me pick out washi tape for my Bible notes! He's so sweet! 🥰
That's so sweet!
Yay! I finally got a current video! 😂 Thank you, Faith! I just found your channel in the last week or so, and love it--clearly, as the algorithm offers so much of your content on my feed now. 😊 I’m not at all crafty or into scrapbooking, but kudos to everyone who is, and I can’t wait for your next video.
I prefer to suppprt Hobby lobby - Christian company
Sometimes, just walking through the craft aisle gives me ideas and reminds me of what I have at home. ❤
Dollar tree is another great place for inspiration. Something as simple as sparkly pens can be all you need to get excited
Wow! This was like drinking from a fire hydrant .... in a GOOD way!! 😃 We do not have a Journaling Budget, so it is a huge help to see you go through the stores and explain the how, what, and why of the items you purchase. I then keep that in mind for the next time I am at a Michaels or Hobby Lobby, especially if you've found some treasures in the sale sections! Happy Friday! ✝💜
Don't forget the thrift stores I was at one the other day and I saw something in the trash it was on top and she gave it to me and the post office trash the label treasures are everywhere woohoo
Dollar tree paper and colored pencils is all I started with. Or literally just a pen and some crayons. You just need to think what can you put in there that’s free? You don’t have to spend more than the cost of colored pencils/crayons to get started.
Sis LOVE this shopping crafty video 😍😍😍 yeeees
Yay! Thank you!
Just yesterday I was looking at the stamps thinking I could write notes inside them!!! There was a mason jar one and remembered the verse in psalms? About our tears being collected in a bottle
What psalm is that? I want to read it
😅😅😅Love Girl Math!!! And I'm not just saying this to condone my own craft and scrapbook stuff and ideas
This is my favorite video of all time. Out of any TH-camr. Crafts are my love language.
Wow 🥹🥹🫶🏼🫶🏼
@@HowtoFaithALife in Hobby Lobby now! ❤️❤️❤️
I go to Dollar Tree. Their craft section is getting some cool stuff. Even scrap paper!.
Yes! They even have metal die cuts now!!
Love the Tim Holtz wallpaper package. I’m a card and folio maker so I use lots of stuff on those items.
Hi, I'm an Aussie, so of course my 1 year old and nearly 3 year old grandsons are Bluey fans.
(Well, so do I)
My daughter has a Heeler family sticker saying, "Family Goals."
I don't look after them anymore as they attend full-time daycare. I might have to binge some Bluey to keep up!
😂🇦🇺🪃🦘🐨💙
😊Hi Faith, I recommend Dollar Tree , they are actively expanding the craft section
I haven't been in SO LONG! That would be a fun video!
They have so many great things for any craft, especially paper crafting (although it might depend on location). They have stickers including many 3d stickers and gemstone stickers, labels like those shown in this video, silicone stamps, stencils, metal die cuts, and even scrapbook paper! I’ve seen the same exact stickers at Dollar Tree also at Michael’s for over $5.
I go to the thrift stores and find all kinds of things to use in scrap book
Love the quilt sticky notes and the tin they come in.
Can I just say that I absolutely get down every time I hear your intro music?!!! 😂 what a bop!!
Paper studio is on sale every other week
What a great video topic! Thank you for taking us along to shop with you. Using the gelatos on the house paper - so cute!
u use the small ornaments on a small artificial leafless tree, or on a front yard small tree or bush.
I know you’re not all about the consumerism stuff, but I honestly think that you’d benefit greatly from a Cricut machine! You can pretty much make nearly all the stuff you saw in the store yourself and then some! Stickers, stencils, stamps, tags, tabs, embellishments, plus the Maker will cut fabric for quilting…. The possibilities are endless! I just used mine to make bookmarks and dividers for my Bible inserts and plan on cutting out tabs for them when I’m done! I’ve also used my machine for other non Bible things, like tshirts, stencils, drawing out my art canvases, making signs, Easter and fall decorations, 3D paper crafts like animals and flowers, decals and labels. My mom uses hers to make tumbler cups! It costs a bit to get started with papers, tools and materials and there is a learning curve to it all, but the amount of things you can make are worth it all if you’re a crafter or do things like this on the regular basis!
I use vellum in my Bible! I use it just to decorate the first page of the book. I like it because I can print out fancy fonts on cheap printer paper and trace it with sharpie onto the vellum.
There are many ways Bible journaling can be done WITHOUT having to shop.
Examples: Card memorization, Bible notes, calendar journaling, etc.
Just some food for thought....and not to put a hole into your purse.
Much appreciated the previous video, with 'free' tips.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor John
Yes!She did a video last week on free stuff :)
But it’s fun! And we can!😂❤️📖✝️
Let’s just say it’s a good thing Hobby Lobby and Michael’s is within a mile from my home. I feel ya…
For Washi that’s not sticky, run it across the top of a glue stick before applying the tape to paper 🥰
This is a great idea for get inspiration ❤thank you for sharing ❤❤❤❤
Hey, when I need to recenter or whatever you call it, I go to the bookstore. Before I walk in there, I tell myself "You don't have to buy anything. You're just here to regroup, not to spend money." And that works! Sometimes 😋
... sometimes! LOL! :)
I go to a local Llibrary - even better!
When I need craft/art supplies, I send my hubby to Michaels - so I won't be tempted to spend a zillion bucks. Best part is, he usually surprises me with new washi tape! [He's an artist too!]
I’ve used washsi tape for corners and I actually fold it over to the back of the page and cut it in such a way that it’s not and eye sore on the page back and so far it’s worked
Ohhhh I like that idea!
I haven't been to Hobby Lobby in a while. It looks they have some really nice things for bible journaling .
Get the laminator and use It for your tabs since you don't care for the tab protectors 😘
GREAT idea!!!!
I love any video you make!!!!
So many fun things. I may have to venture out to my local
Hobby Lobby especially for those Tim Holz floral papers
Unless the craft stores in my area changed , they haven't sold Bible craft supplies in 3 years
Washi tape in craft stores has also been hard to find.
I live in a big city, in Ohio, they seem to have an alergery to christian related items in their store's for Bible study/journals
I've been ordering most of my stuff on line.
Even the Hobby Lobby?
You can use a clothing iron instead of a hair straightener. Just be sure to put something between the iron and the page, and test first. (I use Teflon sheets). Also Tim Holtz's "signature " on his brand does look like a "J", but it's a T. 😉
Lol how many times have I said it wrong?!!! 😵💫
I don't even know. I just noticed it in this video. 😅 Girl, I love your quirky personality. It's part of your charm! @HowtoFaithALife
Faith you mentioned you had a cricut machine- can you pretty PLEASE show us how you use it for scrapbooking/bible journaling??
I NEED to!
If your washi peels up, just use your glue stick before adhering it. Helps with making it last.
Wow!!! I love your Michaels!! Ours here in Portland Oregon are bare in comparison!!!
I found that most [non-permanent] inks will smear on coated/glossy papers. That's why the permanent Sharpies work well. Meanwhile I usually avoid writing on coated/glossy papers.
Also, for those curling corners, I'd experiment with adhering washi tape to both sides of the corner to 'wrap' it. tfs!
Hi Faith! You are a real inspiration and I wanted to thank you for all you share about Bible Studying . I also love to craft so it is definitely a joy to watch you . I am not very creative but love to try your ideas! I have been a Christian for a long time, but you have really inspired me to be more intentional in my daily devotion and quiet time with the Lord. Thank you for that! I recently bought the bible commentary you recommended and have tlhoroughly enjoyed using it. Also bought the Bible Dictionary. I have highlighted in the commentary as I study and today I felt bad about doing that! regretting my highlights? Maybe because I want my Grandchildren to have these books when I am in heaven. Do you highlight in yours? I feel I have ruined them now for others future use. What are your thoughts on this? Yes , I write and highlight all over my bible:)! I am saving for one like yours-interleaved. I do have OCD so mistakes can drive me insane at times, but I get over it ! I am no youngster,, but love Jesus and my studying and prayer time with him. But I will buy a new commentary if you think it is better left clean!
Although I could be your Grandmother, I enjoy watching and studying with you! You are in my prayers-
From Arkansas-Donna Lyn Witherow
Your Michaels and Hobby Lobby store has so much more than ours do out here in So Calif. Some of our shelves are almost bare. Guess I need to shop these stores online. Thanks for all the great ideas.
I've been wanting to go to Michael's. I'm waiting for payday.
YESSSS!! Lazarus I relate with. The part I have really connected with in that story is in verse 41 Jesus was already deeply moved by the loss and looks up and says "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me..." That was an aha for me going through my hurts and loss because God my Father always hears me❤
Good morning beautiful sister just so you know I thoroughly enjoy your videos they are definitely helping me in my walk with the Lord! I do have a question though do you happen to have a video on how you make your Bible tabs using your Cricut machine I got one for Christmas and that's the main project that I want to make and I'm super struggling any help is greatly appreciated!❤
Great tips! Love this day in the life. Do more please 🙏 🥰. I have to go check Michaels out, didn’t realize they sold single sheets for scrapbooking. 😮 Crafting has helped keep me motivated to learn, and I’ve seen a difference in my day to day, so I think girl math works in this case 😂❤ P.S. My stationary pal website has great stuff and often have clearance sales. And, If anyone is in NY or near Daiso locations, super affordable prices for supplies around 1.99 each for pens, stickers, and stamps and washi. Japanese, Korean and Mexican markets have little hidden areas for stationary supplies that are cute too. 😊
Love shopping with you, it is cool when I watch you using a supply that I saw you buy. 🙃I do not trust washi, I glue it once I know I want it to be a permanent placement.
Hi Faith! I went back and forth with commenting because I’m typically just a lurker! I used to work at Hobby Lobby. I wanted to let you know that if you see lots of those orange stickers in an area it means they are being “deleted” or they won’t sell them anymore and they are being clearanced out. So if you like a product that was deleted, get as many as you can! They do this in order to make room for new merchandise! Shortly after they do “deletes” they will redo the section with the new stuff! Hope this is helpful in the future!!
Michael’s and hobby lobby (at times) are so expensive. Temu and Ali express are AMAZING for incredibly cheap supplies, including beautiful washi tape.
I have the pad of scrapbook paper you grabbed after the little boy pad! Twins
Ok. I think I’ve heard you say Jim Holtz before. Just wanted to clarify that his name is TIM not JIM.
🙄
For your curled edges, put washi tape on both sides of the curled edge. It won't curl with washi tape on both sides!
I just have to laugh when you say Jim Holtz 😂 it’s actually Tim Holtz but I totally get that it looks like Jim on his label. ❤ love your videos! I live in the junk journaling world and we use a lot of Tim Holtz products. You may want to check out his distress inks and a blender for some fun water color looks in your Bible.
I've been on a quest to find a new Bible. I have 2 that I love... they are duct taped together. I've bought a new one to try... let's hope it works. But I have a question, then a suggestion... do you have a P.O. Box? And you should try the TUL pens from Office Depot.
How do I add note tabs to my Bible is I already have Bible tabs of all 66 books. HELP 😢
I love velum and am looking forward to ideas on how to use it in my Bible.
I love vellum, too - as long as i don't get it wet....I found that Elmer's glue stick plus Tombow Vellum tape runner work best for me to adhere vellum. Also, brads, clips, staples and other cold connections work outside the Bible....too much bulk for inside Bibles....
I do this in Hobby Lobby or mardel’s to get ideas. I take pictures, and add later
People who follow you know you’re not consumeristic. Keep the Faith! ❤
Hi Faith,✌️
Dollar tree has (our) glue Elmer's glue sticks, yay. The huge ones or a 4 pack little one's 👍...but you have to keep watching, the teachers grab them too. Huge hug🤪. Also, you know how you put liquid glue to attach paper into your Bible, I tried using the glue stick and slid it across the edge across a few times, do ends of the edge a few times and Boom, it worked!!👍🥴oh, nevermind 🙄 I didn't see you grab some, they are the best glue!
I use glue stick on the back of my washi tape to keep it from peeling up.
It looks like you could put a dowel in the spool to make it taller.
Your should just invest in a Cricut and make your own custom stickers :)
I do! It just takes a while :/
Update Bible journaling on a budget
Where can i get a bible like yours? Its a need for me
I find washi tape at Dollar general and paper
Please do a cricut video
So many fun things. I kept wanting you to go into the yarn aisle, though. Those are my two faves when I I go to Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I definitely need to check out the paper pads from Michaels. That black gingham one was cute. I finally have a craft budget so I don't feel guilty buying things. Thanks for sharing.
It feels so crazy to me that in those big craftstores there's all this christian stuff... I live in The Netherlands and there you would never find something with a Bible verse or "Jesus is risen" on it in a regular store, only in a christian bookstore or online
well hobby lobby is a christian craft store technically. But it’s pretty standard to find stuff like that in a lot of places.
My very favorite supply is clear (no print) vellum. I can print notes on it and fit it into my Bible with absolutely no bulk added to the Bible, no covering up the actual Bible text and lots of room for notes. Highly recommend!
Wait- print like with the printer?!
@@HowtoFaithALife Yes! I read my Bible at my desk, and my computer is there. I type up my notes and print them.
I get A LOT more notes in that way, it’s neater than writing them, and I can proofread them. Then I glue the pieces into the Bible like additional pages.
I’m getting a TON of notes into my Bible without creating bulk. So I feel freer to take as many notes as I can, because there’s room. I also don’t like covering up the actual text of my Bible. That’s sacred to me, but adding these slips of vellum in allows me to explain what I’m seeing on that page.
Your Michael's has s many washi tapes! Mine has a really small selection. 😞
I just printed out your Bible plan for the year and so I’m excited to get started on that!❤
Wonderful! Yay! I am so excited for you!
The decorated eggs are for Easter trees.
Sisssss! Do you have a video on how you use your cricket for tabs and things? If not, WE NEED ONE!
Tim holtz 👍❤
What kind of bag do you tote all of your stuff in to carry to church?
TIM 😋 Holtz has some of the best scrapbooking supplies
I love Tim Holtz! I probably buy too much of his line! Lol
love you and all your videos , it is Tim Holtz not Jim. lol
I was going to finally say something as well, bless her! To be fair, it does look like “Jim” with its scripting, and you have to know who he is to know his name. 😊❤
Hi Faith! Love that you brought with shopping at my favorite places 😬 Also not sure if anyone mentioned this but the brand you call “Jim Holtz’ is actually “Tim Holtz” 😊 I love his stuff and wished it went on sale. Thanks for the great video.
FYI I always run the Washi tape over a glue stick and it helps it stay completely down.
Girl! What a score! Loving your channel and I am definitely going to be doing some bible Journaling. I have been so afraid of making a mistake. But I am going to do it. I haven't seen a video on which highlighters to use. I don't know of you have made one. Maybe l haven't found it yet. Can you make a video on this? Love your ideas keep them coming! ❤
I hope you add some Hobby Lobby washi tapes in the next video! I would love to see an updated prayer journal video. Please do more of these shopping supplies videos in the future. I wanted to ask you...What type of blank journal you were using? :). I'd like to know the best ones out there
I use vellum to print pages to put in my Bible. Sometimes it’s a coloring page; sometimes Bible study information and prayers. Try it!
Try running your washi tape over your glue stick and then add it to your bible page. That should keep it from coming up off the page!
Anyone know a good channel that shows more of how spesifically the work with study and doing art? I struggle with trying to stay minimal but often find videos overwhelming and too materialistic for personal taste. Even tho i like and see videos on this channel too.
i haven't tried that exact plastic washi tape but i have something similar and it's basically just like a really long sticker strip on paper backing (it's PET tape essentially)
What about scriptures on love during Valentine’s Day
Hi, does anyone know what the coupon code is for the sale on bible studies today? Thank you!
I think you need to dig into the origins of all the holidays! You seem very educational in your word but all Holidays are very much pagan and represent other gods. The evil one will make it out to be that they’re find but from all the resources you have I’m surprised you’ve never been opened to the truth of the holidays. Celebrate the biblical feasts and remove the man made ones
Honestly, I rarely use stickers or laminate anything as I try to keep pages as thin as possible. I use watercolors because if it goes over the text (which I try not to do). You can still read the text.
I just discovered that I can peel the wood mounted stamps off the wood base and use a clear base to gain more precision. Just be careful peeling it off . You can also make your own tassels with cross stitch thread.
Put the stamp in the microwave for a few seconds. It will melt the glue and it will peel off a little easier.
STOP IT. No way?!!?!!!!
Yes indeed :) I always check Goodwill and other charity shops for craft supplies too. I also stalk the Hobby Lobby sales ads LOL @@HowtoFaithALife
🤣 I enjoyed this! I am NOT a crafter….at all. This was particularly fun for me as you gave great insights into the WHY some pieces are so fun and so inspiring for you! ❤ Good on you, dear! Craft on….
Glad you enjoyed it!
Faith, can u pls tell me what bible u use to journal in. The one u had rebound?
She has an ESV interleaved bible
I had trouble gluing my pages in my other pages stuck together. The Easter paper I would use for on the resurrection page in the Bible.
Oh no! Definitely be frugal with the amount, but also, was it water soluble glue? Maybe you can dab it off?
Use a craft sheet, freezer paper, or wax paper behind the 'gluing' page to protect the others....
I've made covers and dividers with my laminator. I've had it for more than a decade (!), but I tend to use it in spurts.
Guys, Joann's has paper stock on sale 60% off!!!!
My husband has covered two of my bibles with leather. I love it
I think they are for Easter trees...its a big thing in Germany
You must havea better michael's than the ones in my area... I never see any of this stuff in my area!
