5: Saleen S7 (riding inside it because I volunteer at the local car museum)
EDIT: Listen, these are from personal experience and not watching videos. Otherwise it wouldn't count. I will say, the 720s was straight piped and had massive turbos. The bugatti, I can say is mainly the experience. I mean, when are you ever gonna see a bugatti in your life you know? It's that one time experience kinda thing. The Saleen is the same thing. When is that gonna happen again. The LFA, well we all know the LFA is beautiful. Plus, it's a good car for other things than just sound. Also, I'm gonna say that the GT sounds good from the inside more than the outside for me, as I got to ride in one. And BTW, by Cali life I meant a vacation. I don't live there. I don't think anyone has the right to judge unless they have seen it in person, and not on a YT short recorded by a Samsung s6. Unlike most of you in the replies, I've seen these.
720s sounds like a vacuum cleaner
The buggati, ford gt and the 720s all sound like doo doo. They’re cool and all with pops and bangs but pure engine sound they pale in comparison to the na high revving engines
Lmao what a horrible list. Sorry Mr Cali Museum man.

I would say that two of the most "you know it when you hear it" engines are the EJs from the STis and the VQ35R engine from Infinti/Nissan. Very distinctive sounds.

I bought a Celica because I wanted a 2+2 coupe last year, but the 3SGE sounds incredible, made me fell in love with that car
I still have no idea how the LFA sounds the way it does.
It's so unique, you give a non-car guy one or two samples and he'll probably recognize it in the future.
Such a unique sounding car!
Musical instruments made by yamaha sound familia?
@@aaronvector4750 Lots of difference between an electric bass and an exhaust system
@@darkySp i would beg to differ, it still uses the same mathematics. I dont see why it would be too different except just a little more complicated considering an engine might have more range of sound than a musical instrument

So the 370Z got a shout out at the end... Imo, the VQ35 despite having a lower power output sounds immensely better than the VQ37.
Agreed
Agreeed ! I have a 06 g35 and it has stock exhaust and that bitch sounds so good still
the VVEL is to blame for the flat sound of the 370. i think its taking away that bit of raw aggression you get out of a HR or even DE
Agreeeeeeeed. As well as agreeing the Z33 is overall a better vehicle (if you feel the same) lol.
The 3 V10s you chose to show were infact good sounding.... However.... I love the sound of the Dodge Viper and nothing will change my preference.
My Neighbor has a 9.0L NA Stroker straight piped, it's sound brutal.
yes best sounding v10 imo. this guy seems to have a thing for super cars but fuck that american muscle
No goddamn other engine will make me so happy as it
I love how the Dodge Viper farts
I second this
I know it's been 2yrs since this video but the new Carolla GR exhaust note at stock sounds pretty good from videos I've seen.
Also I love the sound of my 5 cyl VW Golf. Cut all the mufflers off and put in a Flowmaster Flow FX muffler. Sounds pretty good
Those Coyote v8s sound freaking amazing as well
For 4-cylinders, I think the Fiat 500 Abarth shoulda gotten an honorable mention. For the V-12's, the Ferrari FXX-K EVO is a monstrosity that needs to be heard. On a side note, Rotaries have felt neglected and have left the chat.
Personally the Porsche flat 6 in the gtr3rs should be on this list. And agreed that Ferrari noise is unruly
How many cylinders does a rotary have?
I don't think rotaries have cylinders
You seem to have forgotten the best sounding 6-cilinder, the VR6.
Yeah I was pretty surprised to see no VR6 or even some other VW engines. Majority of them sound like diesels down to the 4 bangers.
Nah it’s the gtr
How come they forget the VR6 and the inline 4 in the Volkswagen 1j AKA MK4 Golf GTI 1.8T like literally the best sounding engines in the 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder class
VR6, 2JZ, RB26DETT. Dude forgot almost every iconic 6 bangers
Lfa brings tears to my eyes every time, it's the sound that i want to hear in paradise
V10 sound hurts my ears. Never understood why car guy community love V10s so much. Same thing with Lamborghini V12. I prefer softer sound like the Mercedes-Benz SLR V8
@@ldmtag I think because it reminds so much to the f1 sound.
I love almost every sound but the LFA has that something that set her apart from the others
To me personally, nothing will ever surpass the sound of a V8. It's just raw, primal, aggression. But being one that loves all different types of cars, I also love the sounds that most engines can produce. Even some unsuspecting ones that you wouldn't think could ever sound cool can have some good tones if the setup is right. Hell my dad and I made a go kart back in the day with an old school 3hp brigs & straton lawn mower engine that we made a custom exhaust for that sounded pretty cool at WOT, Didn't do more than like, 15-20mph but still, sounded cool.
Amazing with a flat plane crank.
There’s a lot of V8’s that sound amazing, probably the best category.
