She is absolutely a prodigy. And even better she loves music, works hard, is humble and is already giving back to her community hugely. Enjoyed your reaction! All your comments about cool moments and recoveries... so fun.
Some people saying she overplayed this track, but this is a drumming video. It would be a bit pointless just playing it exactly like the original. I actually like Nandi's version better.
she has amazing potential, but needs to learn to compliment a song rather than solo through the whole thing. learn dynamics, when to go off in a solo, and when to hold back with a simple beat. and how to keep hold of the sticks haha
not really fair to her, but i grew up listening to dio, and i think shes soloing too much over the guitar solo, but ive been trained to expect a basic beat that allows the solo to shine. to a newbie to this song, it probably works! just not to my old ears... i do love slipknot too, so if someone removes the joey jordison style of playing, slipknot likely would sound flatter and less energetic, something missing... again to my old ears!!
She's got great chops, but she is overplaying, because she hasn't learned how to keep things simple when they need to be! But she is very young. There are lots of great young drummers these days, girls and boys!
She’s really skilled, but also needs to learn how to serve a song. Way too much what amounts to drum solos throughout, completely missing the plot. And maybe it’s a guitar player bias, but listening to her solo over the guitar solo was painful. Don’t get me wrong, I love a drummer with chops, but not so much one that can’t provide a proper foundation for the rest of the band.
I agree. I think she actually realized that at the end of the video when she noticed she turned the guitar solo into a drum solo 😅 so I think this was a learning experience for her. Still at her age she’s way ahead of the game. These are those lessons any drummer needs to learn anyways.
@@TheGhostNotePodcast I thought so too until I read her pinned comment on the Drumeo video saying she wouldn’t do it any differently if she had a chance to. That pretty much cancelled the show of maturity while listening to the original. But yeah… she’s young and is absolutely a wonderful talent with a bright future. She’ll figure it out.
This girl can play saxophone, guitar, piano and bass as well. All while being, as best one can tell, a genuinely nice person. Pretty darn cool.
She's bad ass!!
This was recorded when Nandi was 13 years old in the US she would be in the 8th grade. Putting yourself out there like that takes guts.

Thank you so much 😊 🙏
When metal was evolving! Dio rocks though but she added rhythm and enhanced the original! Right on!
She’s incredible ❤️🤘
A lesson of perseverance for all of us 🤘So nice to see you playing metal music 🤩 I also prefer your version Nandi.

also, i personally say that Killswitch Engage's cover of this song is far better than the original. they actually gave it LIFE.
