Nah, by far the rarest pet is the ghost wolf that was back in dustwallow marsh back during OG classic era. You needed a bunch of items and specific conditions aligning to allow you to pull off the tame. The wolf was there during classic, but tames couldn't even be attempted until TBC where the Meta gem that made it possible was available
I still have mine. You needed a gem which on casts would make you cast your spells 20 percent faster i believe it was. After that you needed a priest to mind control the mob that summons it. This is why you needed a gem after a certain amount of time the wolf would despawn. And tame pet being treated as casting spell . YOu need to keep switching aspects until the gem proc'd . Then have the priest quickly summon him and then tame. Also the thing would die instantly so you needed food for it right away. IF i missed anything its because I did this so long ago I cant recall if i missed a step.
The rarest hunter pet in the game is the Ooze pet. There was an ooze that was marked as a beast type mob back in vanilla/tbc and that is the rarest pet because they switched the ooze to abberation.
I have a plagued wolf with a permanent poison cloud debuff effect on it from before blizzard updated the human starting zone. Haven’t played wow in years so not sure if they retroactively removed pets that were tamed with visual effects not meant to be there once they were tamed.
I have the worms only available in the Pandaria expansion. I only saw one single hunter with that pet during Legion expansion years ago, never seen another. One more pet I never see people with is Sarinexx, though much easier to get, I’ve never seen a hunter with one.
Slime is extremely rare, no one has the worgen anymore (I had one) because blizz took them away right before cataclysm was announced. Pets with old buffs on them like the oil stained wolf or the flaming boar from mulgore are also extremely rare.
There was this one time at a frozen waste where I had been skinning dead animals as this was some sort of job at the time, leatherworking and selling my products that I acquired through dead animals. And out of no-where another player in the game WoW (World Of Warcraft) starting whispering to me if I wanted an exotic beast and that there was one nearby I said "Sure, why not?" He lead me to this spirit beast with a deep blue color and I tamed him. Although I had to switch my mastery to "Beast Mastery" to tame him as a pet, I found that it was still worthwhile. At that moment I decided to change my entire gameplay just so I could play around with my new-found pet. I came up with a unique playing style that I hadn't seen anyone use before for PvP or PvE. It had to do something with unleashing about 6 pets all at once while shooting multiple arrows. Soon I started seeing top players use this build and strategy in WoW PvP Tournaments which was awesome, I felt like I left my mark in the game. But when the Pandarian Expansion came out, for some reason, my spirit beast was like a very common animal to find. To make it worse my rare spirit beast had lost his colors and the ones you'd find in Pandaria had more color than my pet. I felt like my pet wasn't as special anymore, but I held onto him, and then my playing style wasn't as effective anymore, because of its popularity AND that I never had a full set of PvP armor so having too many kills in a battleground was almost impossible. Loque is not that rare anymore, not like he used to be. Sharing a spawn time with two others and having the smallest chance to spawn between the 3 was aids back in the day. Plenty of hunters with two of him now though
for sure there are more hunters with loque, than those that have this devilsaur.
I have a squirle in armore!
how?
*cries in night elf*
still, the rarest i've ever seen was anzu.
Not sure why you'd need those achievements...
Holy crap! @_@
Isnt it all just cosmetic though? I dont believe there's any meaningful difference anymore. Didnt they make all the pets pretty much the same if they're set to the same pet type?
They made it so pets have the same abilities and stats based on 'family'. Wolf, bear , crab etc. Beastmaster hunter can get exotic pets such as corehound which has bloodlust
@@jonhg92 Didn't they make it to where every pet gets bloodlust if they're set to damage? Or are you saying that the core hound can use bloodlust even if it's set to a different role than damage?
@@aaronalbertson8670 they removed the choice of pet spec as it is decided by pet type and familiy. My comment was a bit misleading as corehound is a 'ferocity' type pet, meaning it gets the same abilities as any other ferocity pet. Corehound and gorilla are the same type, but not in the same family which means they have different "familiy abilities". Corehound is a exotic pet while (i think) gorilla isnt, but both get bloodlust if you go beastmaster.
@@aaronalbertson8670 basically my comments both sucked and pets dont have specs any more. They have type and family. They have common abilities , specialization abilities, and family abilities. Specialization abilities are unlocked automatically unlocked if you go beastmaster and is based on pet type. Corehound and gorilla are both ferocity (type), but are in different families.
Sadly, you're wrong by quote a lot for this devilsaur being the rarest pet in the game. You don't know enough about hunters to know it's not the rarest.
