- Dick Johnson Racing has taken the covers off a long-awaited new Shell V-Power Racing livery ahead of the 2025 season.
The team had run its two-car attack in a largely unchanged scheme since Shell V-Power took over as its naming rights sponsor in 2017.
A revamped look coincides with a new era for the squad that is headlined by the arrival of 2023 Supercars champion and reigning Bathurst 1000 winner Brodie Kostecki.
Kostecki will race with #38; a number previously used by both Kostecki and team founder Johnson, while the team is set for a bumper new sponsorship deal with Ford.

Geez people forget just how fast will was before gen3. I think this will be good for Will & Brodie. Will is a class act & very professional which i think will help Brodie inside & outside of the car.

The new wrap looks awesome. The old was was past it's used by date.
I love the livery from the McLaughlin era. This has too much White for my liking, but its a Ford, and it doesnt matter about paint in a race.
There's so much injustice on the Ford side in this category and I feel badly for all of their drivers. It's becoming more difficult to have a favourite amongst them, but there's no doubt that I prefer to see Davo win a championship if it's to be DJR's year. Then there's Waters, Mostert, etc that haven't been privileged enough to even have a chance at winning. DJR has been my favourite team all of my life, but 2025 is the year of DJR, it's Davo or bust for me.
Will is a class act, Brodie will fire the mustang up. All the best for the year boys
Car looks great I’m glad it’s been changed the old one was getting old I mean it really hasn’t changed since 2017 other than some little tweaks I’m a huge DJR and Ford fan and have been since I was a kid and I can’t wait for the season to start I think it’s gonna be a great year and I think a big improvement from last year with Brodie and the engineering changes I reckon it’s gonna push Will Davo when he’s got a great car he can still mix it up with the best of them.

Will hasnt been at the pointy end for quite awhile now. Certainly not walking the talk. Im surprised that he is still there. im sure Brodie will be in front of him very soon, if not, straight away. Gotta see the VPower kicking butt again.

What happened equel engines and a driver race
It looks terrible, it has nowhere near enough red (or yellow) on it. Oh well. I give it 3 rounds until there's more red on the front end of the car, as I don't see how that incredibly thin strip of red framing the Shell logo on the bonnet can meet Shell brand guidelines.
So it isn't just me - it is totally uninspiring.
Who can afford to buy a Ford Mustang? Chevrolet Camaros are not available in Australia.

Is Ford still running a smaller capacity engine than Chevy? Last time I checked it was Ford at 5.4litres and Chevy at 5.7litres. This didn’t make sense and I stopped following Aussie so-called Supercars.
Yes, that’s true. Chev is still running thin dinosaur bones to open its valves, Ford is using current technology overhead cams…. Ebs and flows.
