- FORD’S ANNOUNCEMENT last Friday that it has enticed Australia’s most successful racing team, Triple Eight, back into the fold in 2026, after what will be 16 years, has rocked the Supercars world. See what the experts had to say ...
#ford #tripleeight #supercars #motorsport #autoaction
That is a cut & past statement from the GM & HOLDEN days. I wander if they will complain about parity 😂😂
Fords partnered with redbull in F1, Dakkar, short course etc… as sad as it will be seeing them leave GM, I think their hands were tied with this one
I'm a 100% TRUE Ford fan from Naboomspruit, Limpopo, South Africa. As sad as I was when 888 anounced their partnership with Chev/Holden, the SAME excitement I have to see their return home to Ford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Their home is whoever pays and supports them the most, brand loyalty is a thing of the past, these 'teams' are just businesses out to make money.
@@OptimalToast 😂😂😂😂😂😂 sounds like a CHEV or Holden fan.
Triple Eight are not only excellent at building and running a race team. They are very good at running a business and the re-connection with Ford at this time is clearly the best chance to guarantee their future
No, it’s not… GM aren’t going anywhere. It’s about aligning the brands, ford is partnered with redbull in F1, GTD, dakkar and short course. Their hands were simply tied
Well if u wish to keep redbull sponsorship, deal was done 2 years ago ,we were waiting last year for something
Yep! 110% correct. I have a friend who is a machinist at triple eight race engineering and he said they shook hands with ford long before any of their Camaros even hit the track! Revelation to the public is all about timing
@nhraandnascarfanatic5907 if they wish to keep sponsorship no option, ford Australia was hoping that gm, would jump in winning team ?? ,but head office in usa big mess, on going government money (billions) to keep doors open , have seen the latest news over there than 900 thousand cars will need engine replacement, they can't keep going losing billion of a dollars each month
I am always amazed that as soon as an Aussie gets to America they refer to being “Down Under “. No Australian ever says that phrase.
Really can't blame them for following a forward thinking manufacturer with a strong motorsport focus. Granddad has been good to 888 for years but honestly is of to the nursing home. Still not a team I can support but good on them.
GM doesn’t care about Australia, their funding shows that. As for Supercars, no matter how it’s done if the Gm/ Holden are not winning most of the races, it’s addressed swiftly. With the other brands there’s all the time in the world. With Toyota joining next year, I hope this stops, and go racing
@@Davidamadio The problem with Toyota is they won't be stalwarts of the series, their commitment to the series will be thin. They've never needed the series to be relevant in the Australian car market, of which they've dominated. Unfortunately, they'll almost certainly be tourists.
@@Davidamadioat the end of the day none of them care dude, if they did we would still have Australian commodore and falcons…
Triple 8 have been a Ford teambefore and Chevy have already discontinued the Camaro. Jamie has made a business move. Simple as that.
Is that what a 2026 Gen 3 Stang behind Windcup would look like ? It is completely different to the Stang revealed & others in this vid?
Thats not a supercar it looks like it could be the gt3 car
Ok. Wasn't sure. Suppose we will find out.
@@haydenchesser6201 yes it is, it’s James Courtney’s snowy river caravans car wrapped in Redbull, you can still see the “caravans” and there’s a confirmed article on Supercars page about it.
Just heard from a insider that , that is the 2026 Gen 3 Supercar.
@@rhettcorbett3346 your "insider" doesnt know what they are on about,
The car behind jamie is just a wraped Ford Mustang Dark Horse Model. Just a different package Mustang Offer
So might want to find yourself a new "insider"
i recon triple 888 could go race go karts I would not let them back racing fords as they put pig face on the badge they are traders
It’s all ABOUT YOU!!
well he is the team boss
Nobody knows anything about ford America's other "cars" because the don't have anything to offer, oh I forgot they do have a resigned mazda6 they call electric mustang, but it's just a 21 century EDSEL😂😂😂😂
Red bull sux I will not follow them anymore
Bye bye 👋🏽
It's just plain BUM KISSING
Sounds like prime stink bullshit to me.
So, Ford has shafted Dick Johnson again.
Luckily for 888, all they had to change was the front grill and the engine, everything else stays the same.
I just hope they realised that 'Ford Performance Racing' is an oxymoron. It should be called 'Ford, Also Ran, Following'.
Ford Racing, 13 F1 Constructors titles, 10 F1 Drivers Championships, 4 Le Mans 24 Outright wins, 20 wins Daytona 24, the list goes on, also rans dont think so!
@@Redpepper7376 Different department to Ford Performance Racing. Australia.
23 years averaging 30 races per year = 700 races.
1 x championship.
79 x race wins.
23 x Bathurst 1000 years, 40 x cars entered.
2 x wins,
2 x seconds,
1 x third.
Yep, absolute definition of also rans....
Their competition through that time - 888 racing, featured in the above video, also ran Fords for the first 6 years...
20 years averaging 30 races per year = 600 races.
11 x driver championships.
12 x team championships.
252 x race wins.
20 x Bathurst 1000 years, 53 x cars entered, but that includes 8 x wildcard development drivers who had never been top class to Bathurst before, and not expected to be competitive, just there to gain experience.
10 x wins,
6 x seconds,
4 x third.
Other teams out there, including other privateers, also made the FPR also rans look stupid.
FO!
Fords offering more money obviously
