As someone who is new and is in iron 3/bronze, thanks for not just shitting on us. I'm still learning, it's my first fps. I have bronze knowledge and skill but there are SO MANY THROWERS and often I get my MMR to gold and lose bc of it
I recommend finding a trustworthy duo and trio so by numbers it reduces the chances of you getting a thrower on your team

find someone to play with. Climbing ranks is more fun with a friend or two, or three, or five.
I severely suspect this, since your MMR will remain high if your individual performance is outstanding. Also, you'll lose fewer points (or even gain some) if you have performed well in a match you lost.

@@diogenescinico I never fully blamed anyone else. I am in my rank for various reasons, but there are a lot of throwers that make it hard for new players to get more into it when there is throwers. I feel as though in iron, there are reasons you are there, being your own and the people around you.

dont rely on luck. If your actual skill isnt gold you will down to silver again sooner or later. When i was bronze i got many winstreak and got to silver 3, but i get back to bronze again.

ascendent is literally a filler rank it just depends on the games mood it's either sub good players or people with radiant gun buddies stomping or immortals who haven't played in a while too much skill variety in one rank (it used to be the same issue with diamond before they added ascendent)

Specific ranks dont always tied to specific playstyle/mindset most of the time. I've seen silver ranked players who plays like an ascendant and immortal rank who plays just like a low tier gold. But at the end of the day, the current rank you belong to,really reflects how good you are
That doesnt make sense. "ive seen silver ranked players who plays like an ascendant" but "the rank you belong to reflects how good you are." playing bad in an immo lobby as an immo, you might LOOK like a gold, but compared to an actual gold, you will still be 100x better. In lower ranks typically there is a filter, if you have good aim, movement and crosshair placement for example, there is no way you can be stuck in bronze. Like its literally impossible because you will just win almost every gun fight.

use valorant tracker check players stats in game before playing to look for smurfs,bad players,or trolls if u really want

this explains why one of my mates thought i was smurfing because of comms, im a plat player and i have had teammates thinking i was smurfing cuz i gave really good comms and had a good mental even when half was 11-1for the enemies, we ended up winning the game 12-14cuz i brought back up mental and morale to keep playing, i dont have the best aim and i wouldnt say my mental is always good, but my team sure thinks so, as said im a plat 1 player and im currently maining phoenix, match mvp or 2nd top almost every game
i have good movement aswell and i played w smurfs from immo 1 and they thought i was smurfing aswell even tho i played on my main, the only REALLY bad thing for me is the patience ;p

Me trying to escape B3 with the worst laptop ever(playing on the lowest resolution with the % of resolution lowered in the games files so I see only pixels and long fight are impossible to take) and with lag spike every time, finally doing it but hardstuck silver 1 and sometimes going back to B3 and then going back again to silver 1, just to see that in terms of brain in the game I'm way better than those low elo people its just that I suck in terms of mechanical even tho I'm better and know what todo but its because I'm playing on my shit laptop who is carrying me back :( (because starting to tryhard deathmatch while being gold I'm already doing it since I was B1)

I don’t take the game serious anymore but i don’t understand why i am still in my peak rank even without trying, i recently almost hit diamond by just getting on sometimes and queuing ranked or just having fun. And now i can’t seem to get out of it myb i just need to get more hz because i’ve heard when you hit plat-diamond you should upgrade your monitor/hz.(my peak was plat 2 when i was trying)
it doesn’t really take “trying” or “effort” to get to diamond but anyways, you don’t need more hz to hit diamond lmao. i’ve gotten to immortal and radiant on 60hz please don’t needlessly spend money on a monitor because it won’t make a difference if your skill isn’t there in the first place

I never said it's impossible to hit immortal or radiant with 60hz or 75hz it's just harder and takes longer time when you could be hitting that with no ease on higher refresh rates, and when you say you've hit immortal and radian ton 60hz it's not like all radiants have done that it's a small percentage. More hz has been proven to get you better idk why you assume i got no skill i went from 40fps on a shitty laptop i was hardstuck iron-bronze i got a new pc with a whole new setup(75hz 300-500fps) in summer and hit plat in 2 weeks, tbh i might have played the first month or two better than ever because my immortal friend said i could hit plat-diamond when i was silver after i got my pc just from my gameplay and he isn't no 1 time immortal he has hit immo alot of times.

the way that the term lower sense will make the game easier is said is quite misleading. Having a lower sens isnt going to make you a better aimer its about comfort and actual practice. I can aim just as good on 20cm/360 as i would on my normal sens of 40cm/360. As long as ur not playing on something nuts like 5cm/360. you can improve your aim with good practice.

Pro tip: when you’re on Plat-Diamond - you can forget about any expectations or team tactics. You can give info all you want, but 95% won’t listen and won’t say a word in voice chat themselves, cause they have probably the biggest ego’s you’ve ever seen.
So just push through it, be the only one talking in the team, if that’s the case. You will improve, and if you come across those few players, who will also use voice chat - you can have great team coordination with them.
Don’t mind the other 95% who are “too cool” to speak in voice chat and contribite to team mentality and coordination
Edit: and if you’re one of those 95% - find love in life or at least touch grass or talk to your parents

IDK, depends on your rank, if you are above gold then its about learning the agent and also the map knowledge, and awareness. learn from pros, by watching and then copying them
if you are below gold then aim and gun fights have good practice routine
Doesn't apply to mumbai server...people be playing for so long but can't rank up cuz no body has time to play that much, and cuz of that its easier to play in diamond or platinum lobbies than bronze or silver.
Mumbai server is just trash , like these players have 0 ambition to actually Improve , like they camp every round , rng in every gun fight , instant crouch , like they are the worst players to ever exist
You actually didn't detail any flaws for gold rank, which sadly is one of the most populated and diverse rank in the game... I would have been nice to have at least SOME ideas of what can possibly be done wrong. ( I know you mentioned not doing retakes and 5 man pushes effectively but I would have expected more specific individual flaws )
I’d argue Gold’s start understanding movement a little better, but this causes many of them to start moving too much. If you’ve ever heard of the mechanic ‘deadzoning’ then you know what I mean. Gold’s will unintentionally deadzone because they try to move soo much that they’ll end up shooting randomly in their movement. Now, deadzoning is a GOOD mechanic, but doing it too much or by accident will hurt your aim especially when it isn’t at the highest level.
When I was in gold I noticed this problem and after learning how to deadzone properly I reduced unnecessary movement and started actually thinking about why I was moving. I also started to main 2 agents instead of experimenting with a bunch. At a certain point I understood how every other agent plays so I started focusing on my own play style. Learning how to master 2 agents is super helpful and will take you very far if you do it right. Save the filling for higher ranks/lowest ranks.
Anticipation is the last concept I started to understand, more when I was shifting between gold III and plat I. Basically understanding how to peak with confidence and anticipation that an enemy will be in my crosshair - helps reaction time and movement when peaking.
I’m Ascendant III peak now and I believe I was only stuck in gold for 1 or 2 acts I can’t remember exactly, but everyone learns differently and improves at different rates, so just try to keep your fundamentals good and learn some more advanced concepts in their basic forms 😊
Oh also, I got a new PC which helped a ton. Don’t sleep on better equipment. If you play on a laptop you will have a skill ceiling unfortunately.

You actually described exactly what I'm going through, trying to implement all the movement mechanics but ending up shooting way too late because of unnecessary strafing... I basically tend to poppin swing everything, I need to do what you said and start thinking of 'why' more :)

Ok im sorry if this makes anyone mad but I dont really care. I get so mad when people just say that iron-bronze players have no game sense and have 0 clue what theyre doing. I dont play ranked that much and am in bronze but I do where to properly have my crosshair and how to support my team. I now people might think that thats because im not really a bronze player i just dont play ranked but many of my friends and people i find while playing ranked are the same or even better than me. Many people in iron-bronze know what theyre doing and have great game sense. They just dont have the same aim as pros. Now im also not saying that every iron player is tenz but there are many that aren’t these pieces of trash that are just learning the game.
